Orange Tree Resort

If I could give this place a 0 Stars, I would! The management is awful, the service is sub par and the resort not only needs updating, but it it needs LIGHTS! You’re literally walking past 3-4 buildings in the dark before you can get to your hotel room. Fortunately I had my cell phone’s flashlight to guide me. There is a saying, “You Get What You Pay For” and boy did we ever! Booked this place through Interval. The first night the AC wasn’t working and “maintenance” came in and literally fought with my husband: We left for a few days because we couldn’t stay and they said they would send someone else: We came back a few days later to find the same problem. We asked to change rooms to which they said they only had ONE! Mean while others were checking in and were given a few choices on rooms which made Absolutely NO Sense! When the manager or man at the front desk, “Derrick” said for me to wait to have someone drive me to the other room to make sure the AC worked, I waited over 20 minutes. The worker was busy I figured, so I asked Derrick if I could borrow the key myself to check out the room to which he rudely Exclaimed, “Give You the key!? I don’t think so!” As he gave me a dirty look and walked away! Ugh so frustrating!! I then called Interval to tell them my problem. They extended my stay to an extra few days being that we didn’t stay the first two days due to the AC, (Note: it was over 106 in Phoenix during these days). Interval wanted me to have the front desk me in under the new reservation which had the two day extension, to which Derrick exclaimed, “Now Why Should I Extend Another Few Day!? “I’m only switching you rooms!” Definitely taking this place off my list forever! Do Not Recommend! However I Do Recommend extensive training for the hotel staff!

Front desk staff weren’t very friendly either was our waitress. The parking here is terrible very far walk and just inconvenient. I’m writing this review at 1 am because I can’t sleep due to all the stomping on the floor above us. This has happened several times through our stay here. The bar by the pool wasn’t open our entire stay. Just kind of disappointed. Two stars only because Seth was so nice and helpful with setting up our room and getting our luggage. Also seems to be pretty clean.
