Seneca - Snowshoe

Really nice rooms, hot tub, and ski storage. Easy, short walk to slopes. Quiet, snow guns won't keep you awake.

Been coming to Snowshoe for 20+ yrs. Have stayed at Seneca for about the last 10 yrs. There are nicer places but overall location and accommodations are hard to beat.

A little on the expensive side, but worth it due to the excellent location next to the equipment rental center (Expedition Station), the ski slopes and the village restaurants and shops. The attached, secure underground parking area is very convenient, especially in inclement weather. Unit 102 is adequate for 2 people. The kitchenette included a cooktop, microwave, small refrigerator, toaster, small sink and coffee pot and was fully equipped with dishes and silverware. The unit had Direct TV and wifi was not super speedy but OK. Although check-in time was 5:00 pm, the unit was available a couple of hours earlier when I arrived. You can pick up your ski rental equipment after 3:00 pm the day before you hit the slopes, and that's worth it to beat the early morning crowds. You may want to bring food with you to prepare in your unit if you want to avoid the crowded restaurants. Grocery shopping is very limited at Snowshoe itself. I'll definitely stay in Seneca next time I visit Snowshoe.

We made a spur of the moment trip to Snowshoe 3 days before Christmas & were lucky enough to get in Snowshoe Mountain! Our Lodging was in Seneca. We had a one bedroom facing the pool unit 116. The view of the large outdoor hot tub was nice. And the walk to ski rentals & lessons is very easy. The restaurants were really struggling and we had a very hard time getting reservations or anyone on the phone for that matter. I feel like every restaurant was very short handed. It is expensive! In the future we will bring a crockpot & cook! But over all we had 2 gorgeous days on the slopes!

This was our second year staying in Seneca and it was another great trip. The rooms are a bit dated, but if you go to Snowshoe you're there to be on the mountain. Everything was clean and the parking garage underground is fantastic when the weather is bad. We will 100% stay in Seneca on our next trip.

Great place to stay at the Village at Snowshoe. We came for Wanderlust and this was a great location: right at the heart of everything. There was indoor parking so we didn't have to walk far. The room was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils to make meals. The balcony even had a nice set of chairs and table to enjoy. Will definitely be back.

Stayed in a 3 bedroom unit for annual ski trip. By far the nicest place in the village!

One of the best more affordable places to stay at Snowshoe. Seneca isn't as dense or big as other buildings in the Village, which is a plus (elevators aren't busy and it is more quiet). And only about 40% of the owners offer their units up for rentals. It also has a "community" vibe. For example, I had a nice conversation with an owner in the nice large outdoor hot tub. On Friday evening, the front desk had cookies. In addition to the hot tub, the private outside patio has a nice gas fireplace, which puts out a good amount of heat. If the hot tub isn't your thing, you can still watch the beautiful sunset by the fire. The building has a heated underground parking area, ice machine, and coin laundry. I stayed in a studio (Seneca 117), which has dated furniture, but otherwise was perfect for my needs. The unit doesn't have a gas fireplace, which I believe all of the larger units do have. The bathroom has nice hooks to bath towels! A detail often overlooked at many places. I also liked that this unit had two entrances (one interior and one from the Village sidewalk). However, I wish it had sheer curtains to allow daylight while still having some privacy. The unit has Direct TV, which is not standard across all rentals. Some of the other places I've stayed either had rural cable (no nice remote and no nice guide) or no cable/satellite service. Seneca's location is very good. Very short walk to Expedition Rentals to pickup rental equipment. Short walk to the slopes. And a convenient locker is provided next to the lobby to store your equipment. It is also a short walk to shops, restaurants, and bars/venues. There is no option for housekeeping during your stay, but plenty of towels were provided. I was able to take advantage of a 4th night free Snowshoe promo, which made the price right for my stay.
