Checked in today. I guess I was expecting a more luxurious experience. The check in area is on the small side. There were cookies to entice you, but how long had they been sitting out? The concierge sits across from the check in desk, but she didn’t acknowledge us upon entering the resort. The desk clerk was busy with another guest upon us entering, but again, no one acknowledged us until it was our...
My wife and I just returned from our trip to Stowe Vermont. We were very excited about our stay at the Topnotch Resort after seeing all of the photos. The property is beautiful and offers some nice amenities although most at an additional cost. We have traveled the world and stayed at mid to highend hotels so we have a very good idea typically of expectations at certain price points. The fact that...
Great spot for our visit to Stowe in the summer. Front desk, management and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. Any issues and they respond immediately. Our condo was very spacious with every amenity you’d need. The facilities are top notch too, the gym, spa, pools, so much going on here. On-site restaurant The Roost is a gem too.
I had a couple issues during my stay, Jeremy the assistant GM admitted to the issues and went out of his way to try and make it better. I appreciate that effort immensely, it’s more than other places would have done. It’s a comfortable place that has great people.
My husband and I got married at Topnotch about a year ago and have done nothing but rave about our experience, so I am finally putting my thoughts into a review! We hosted our full wedding weekend at Topnotch -- rehearsal dinner, welcome drinks, wedding, and farewell brunch -- and it was all just lovely. Topnotch has several different event spaces that we were able to utilize based on our needs for...
The Spa was exceptional! I can't remember the girls name, but she did a very good job at making me feel comfortable as for it was my first time receiving a massage. The staff was very friendly, and the facilities were super clean!

A very nice resort, a bit dated but otherwise pleasant. The rooms are large and comfortable. I traveled here for a conference which was paid so not trying into account the cost of rooms or food. Recent reviews are fairly negative but my stay was nice. The food and service was OK.
The Resort could be so nice if it were kept up. Our room was nice and I have to say very clean! The bed was comfy and the resort is charming. Yes, it was a bit outdated, but it wasn't as bad as what some reviews said. The resort is in a great spot! We did a lot in the area and enjoyed ourselves. We went into historic Stowe and enjoyed the town and the little mom-and-pop shops. We ate at a wonderful...
This is a very quiet, peaceful place to stay. The location is superb, as it is within walking distance of many things including the bike rental shop. After a long day of tiring outdoor activities, it was nice to return to such a comfortable and relaxing environment. The rooms are spacious and the fireplaces are so quaint and cozy.
It was a really nice place. They have a lot of extras to borrow like snowshoes! Breakfast was fine but could of had better hours to go in.
Stoweflake is a unique privately owned gem in Stowe. The management runs a tight ship with high standards and consistent service delivery. Love it
Staff was wonderful. They were friendly, helpful, & accommodating. Dog friendly, good location to mountain, shuttle service. Rooms comfortable.

Room was spacious and very clean. The views were amazing from the rooms. Staff was wonderful, everyone is very friendly/helpful and in a good mood. The tours offered were also very nice and informative. Wish I would have had more time to do everything available there. The dinners at the lodge were also very nice, as was the brunch.
food is great and the view is awesome. The restaurant serves are amazing, and much better than the front desk.
Our family fell in love with this place. As you know, true love is unconditional, and it is very difficult to rationally explain love for this particular place. We came once, fell in love, and now we come at least twice a year to get a portion of warmth, home comfort, peace, and gain strength to continue life in a big city. But we are not jealous and we don't mind that this place gives love not only...
Attended a catered holiday event. The food was lovely, the service was great. I was disappointed with the lack of holiday decor in the Mozart room even though it was December. I feel like for what we paid, they could at least have hung some twinkle lights. We also had been promised an outdoor fire on the patio, which never happened.
We enjoyed a fabulous stay here just before Christmas! Excellent all around. Nice accommodations with friendly and helpful staff. The food was very good, especially the buffet breakfast. Grounds are beautiful with cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The family talk was a bonus - really enjoyed learning more about the von Trapp family. Thank you for a great visit!
Beautiful scenery and so much to do! We took advantage of several of the tours, which are a good way to see the rest of the lodge. No food/breakfast is included, which is a bit surprising given the price point. We ate at the coffeehouse for breakfast, which was more affordable and the food was great. The main dinning options for dinner were nice as well. The rooms are cute with upgraded bathrooms and...

Top-floor room had great high ceilings; balcony in the room was a great way to take in the beautiful view. Property is very kid-friendly. Staff was very friendly and nice. Lots of special events while we were there, including live music on the green.
Absolutely outstanding!! My wife and me had our honeymoon here in late May right before Memorial Day weekend and everyone was so sweet, kind, concerning, and attentive to us! When we arrived, there was chocolate covered strawberries, champagne, and fruit in our room waiting for us! We stayed in the Timberline junior suite and it was perfect for 2 people, especially being able to turn on the fireplace...
Amazing location and resort! Can't beat the hospitality and quality of the hotel. Just left and can't wait for my next trip back. When in Stowe there is no better place to stay!!
Great experience at Stowe Mountain Lodge. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Breath taking views, delicious food and a spa. So relaxing and stress free. I wish I could have stayed longer and I will definable go back.
Stunning location. Staff couldn't be more friendly from the valet parking to the front desk. The bar staff and waiting staff couldn't be nicer. Rooms really spacious and clear. Fabulous bathroom. Great food and drink. A real treat staying here
We had had an amazing vacation and I loved the Spa! I was lucky enough to have Jennifer Findley for my massage the very first day and immediately requested her for the remainder of my appointments/treatments. She is amazing! Erin did my hair the last day and it still looks awesome. The resort is AWESOME and the spa is divine. Enjoy!

This was our second time staying at Commodores Inn. Unfortunately, the attached restaurant has closed but the inn is located within two miles (five minutes drive) of restaurants, shops and Stowe's downtown. The pool and hot tub are great amenities and the morning coffee bar is very convenient. The overall aesthetic of the inn reminds me of the ski lodges / inns I stayed in as a child on family ski...
The hotel is older but considerably well kept. If you are looking for a simple, affordable and convenient place to stay it's a good option. Front desk staff is friendly and the walk-in area is cozy. Bedding and pillows are nothing special but clean. TV is small if that matters to you. There was a mini fridge in the double bed room I stayed in.
Pretty decent place and pet friendly. Was looking for a hotel in another town where an event was being held and we couldn't find a room anywhere, everything was fully booked for the whole weekend. After calling a few places, we were glad to have found this cozy little inn, where we finally stayed the night. Last night of the Road trip, on our way back home. Room and bed were clean and comfortable....
Loved this place. Yes it is a little out dated but our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I wish we had longer to stay to enjoy the outdoor pool and large pond. We would definitely stay here Very reasonable for the price. And no it did not smell..
Decent rustic hotel but if you’re looking for the large hot breakfast spread or industrial ice machine of chain hotels, this doesn’t provide that. That said, this is a comfy place to stay if you’re in the area.
We recently stayed at the Commodores Inn for a midweek ski trip and found the Inn to be wonderfully convenient to all that Stowe has to offer. The facility has everything needed to make for a comfortable visit - a hot breakfast (included) in the dining room, comfortable beds/linens, and a cozy bar for an after dinner drink. Paul and Greg, the bartenders, were attentive and wonderfully personable...

If you want to enjoy your trip to Stowe, you HAVE to stay here. We felt so at home. We ordered smores at the bar and made them around the fire on night 1. On night 2 we ordered drinks and popcorn chicken while we played a late night game of scrabble in the lobby! The staff was incredible (shout out to Lexi). They also have the CUTEST decor and vintage ski/winter clothing in the lobby/restaurant. There...
My wife and I just stayed at the Field Guide Lodge and had a perfect experience. We came with our two dogs and stayed in one of their dog friendly cabins. Usually dog friendly accommodations at hotels aren't great; the room can be musty, or small, or otherwise treated as an afterthought. Our room was large, clean, and thoughtfully outfitted for a comfortable experience, not to mention that it was in...
We were headed for camping when Stowe mountain road got washed out. The staff hurried and shifted things to accommodate us. We ran into a personal issue during our stay, and management was very helpful and understanding. This is already our go to place for comfort, style and its uniqueness. The old fashioned level of care, has made us loyal for life. Thank you for being exceptional!
Had great stay and it was my rescue pup’s first hotel stay since adoption. The staff was accommodating and the room was clean and comfy, with modern, spacious bathroom and bath products. Breakfast exceeded expectations with quality ingredients and the amenities in public areas are so fun! Location is great with easy access to food, drink and recreation path by foot, and short drive to local hikes
This was perfect place to stay to explore Stowe and the surrounding areas! We loved our stay at Field Guide Lodge. It is a very aesthetic hotel with everything on theme. The service was amazing! We had a number to text if we needed anything and always got a prompt response. There was lots of room around the hotel for relaxing in the evening and the breakfast was great! Highly recommend this hotel!
Fantastic spot! The king suites were so well appointed, staff wonderful, the aesthetics very hipster-scandi. So much attention has clearly been given to making this a real mountain escape. Breakfast was a bit unpredictable but we always managed to find something. Staff go the extra mile. A great family-friendly spot, we would definitely return!

Brilliant location, fantastic room very comfortable, communal area's beautiful furnished. and tea and cakes.in the afternoon were nice bonus
Great service from the front desk team, they were able to change my room last minute. The Inn is an antique, but cute and lovely decorated for Christmas. The location is nice, able to walk the main street. There is an outdoor pool and is a relaxing swim.
This was our 1st time at the inn. We came on Thanksgiving morning. We were amazed because we were able to go to our room by 11am. The Thanksgiving dinner was great. 1 special staff member was so very good to us . Rye was so accommodating and helpful. He really does enjoy his job. All the staff were very accommodating and showed much care for tge guests. We will definitely return ! Great experience
I want to thank Green Mountain Inn and specifically RYE for making my parents’ anniversary stay memorable! My parents have a tradition of staying at GME for their anniversary, as they first stayed there while on their honeymoon 34 years ago in 1988. We stopped in for breakfast while visiting Stowe. What a great place! Maintains it's historic charm while updated. Breakfast is always busy in Stowe, but we were able to get seated and served quickly. The waitress was friendly, prompt and attentive, the food was excellent. We would definitely go back and highly recommend if you're in the area!
Feels very historic and is in a great location to walk around visiting shops and sights. The room was beautiful with a fireplace and nice ambient lighting to make it cozy and homelike. Been staying at Randy's place for years now in all different rooms but the rooms with jacuzzi are a really nice getaway. Like everyone says the Breakfasts are among the best in Stowe, you will see guests of other hotels come to Randy's just for the breakfast menu. That brings me to another point, the room rates for the Jacuzzi rooms are about the same as a tiny room at the big resorts. Gabbles is also...
There is NO better place to stay in Stowe than with Randy and Mickey. Let me start out with the breakfast. It’s literally the best breakfast we’ve ever had. Period. The stuffed French toast is to die for! The rooms are cozy and comfortable. We have stayed here three times in the past three years, and it’s always been a perfect vacation. We stayed in the master bedroom, and it was absolutely amazing. Randy was a great host, very welcoming and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was unbelievable and there's coffee and cake 24/7. Highly recommend this place if you want hotel quality service with a homely feel.
The Gables Inn is a phenomenal place to stay in Stowe. It's located just off a main road across from a biking/walking trail that is well maintained. The amenities are great--nice hot water in the shower, good heating and cooling system, and the Gables Suite (where we stayed) was very large and roomy with a gas fireplace and whirlpool tub large enough for two to sit comfortably. Breakfast is included...
What a great find! We could not have asked for a better B&B or a better host in Randy! The inn is nestled next to the 5 mile hike/bike path that runs along Stowe and is easy access to the mountains and other areas nearby. We stayed in the Gables Suite - we loved the comfortable bed, spacious room, and fireplace. The little bit of fall nip in the air was enough justification for us to use the fireplace...

Beautiful property in a good location in Stowe. The rooms are terrific. Large well decorated bedroom with a top notch bathroom. Common areas are great. Very good breakfast. The only suggestion is that Innkeepers could be a little more visible/welcoming.
Just an unbelievably luxurious experience from beginning to end. The inn is situated close to everything that Stowe has to offer but just far away enough to be quaint. It was quiet all weekend, the room was clean and updated and the jacuzzi tub, gas fireplace and view of the grounds were all amazing. Well worth the money.
We stayed at The Stone HIll Inn and really enjoyed it! It's on a beautiful piece of private property that you're able to walk around/enjoy. The room and bathroom were both very spacious, the breakfast was amazing in the AM, and we felt that one of the main selling points (which may be surprising) is the washer and dryer that's available to the guests! Another wonderful experience at Stone Hill Inn! We went on our honeymoon in 2010 when it had different ownership, and both experiences were perfect. The current ownership were friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The location is great, the food was fantastic, and amenities are excellent. Would definitely recommend it.
What a treat! A fireplace next to a jacuzzi tub is simply a dream. Add to that the beautiful grounds and many amenities, and it's easy to see why this place is so well reviewed. The proprietors are kind and helpful and offer many small comforts to make the stay feel like home.

Great location with beautiful surroundings. The season just started, so it was still almost empty, which we enjoyed. Rooms were clean, very generous in space and the bed was comfortable.
Pros: the staff is friendly, the exterior of the hotel is unique and beautiful, the hotel grounds are stunning, as is the view; the lobby is so retro and unique and just a really fun place to hang out. The location is also good. The breakfast is great. Cons: Parking--when we got back late from a dinner one night the lot was jam packed. The rooms are outdated and not as nice looking as the online pictures...
The hotel is beautiful..especially the grounds and the lobby/seating area. The rooms were comfy but needed updating. Loved the access to corn hole, ping pong, and pool table. There are also tons of board games, books and puzzles available to guests. Unfortunately the breakfast was beyond sub par and had minimal options.
AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE & ATMOSPHERE. I love to plan getaways very spontaneously. I ended up booking for the Stovehof at 8:30PM and made it there by 2 AM. As I arrived I was already amazed by the design of this hotel. Pictures don't give it justice to the peace you feel being in this hotel. The rooms they have are clean. The beds are comfortable. Got a decent deal via Hotwire. Great location, very friendly staff, dog friendly. Only complaint, which is minor, is the room was very small, and a few things were needing some upgrading / fixing (lights missing in the bathroom, etc.) Still, our stay was totally enjoyable.

I had originally booked with another hotel who had canceled my reservations due to them selling. this was in close proximity to a few places I wanted to visit so I booked a room. Couldn't have asked for sweeter front desk personnel. They went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The units are spread throughout a complex, and that made the office or ice machine a walk. We were on vacation for a week, and this was our soundest sleep on the trip. Great location. In-room movies available for free. Bike use available for free. I'd stay here again.
Love this Motel! My mom use to come here all the time with her husband. They have so many stories about the trips to Stowe Vermont! We came to stay the weekend to honor my recently passed on mother 💔 We are going to make it a yearly trip around our moms birthday. ❤️
This place was really great! Reasonably priced for the area, terrific location at the bottom of mountain road and 100, and bright, clean, well lit with great beds and towels. Friendly office staff, coffee and apples every morning. Perfect for families who need a small kitchen as well. Free bikes; outdoor pool.
This motel is compact but very nice. Each motel comes with one massive bedroom and a Kitchenette. There are nice bikes in all sizes there that you can use for free. Great location for traveling around to varying hikes and scenic destinations! Rooms are average, clean and had most things we needed. Beautiful location, but the unit is 5 flights of stairs up (shown by the picture of the one flight); there is no way to get your items up to the unit except by hauling up all those stairs. Perfect spot for a few nights in Stowe. Nothing fancy, but just right. I had a great time staying here and think they do an amazing job. The bar next door is really good too. And if you are a mountain biker, this is the spot, you are literally across the street from the flow trails.
The good: had a nice room, reminded me of my hostel stays through Ireland. I would stay here again, despite everything else I'm about to say. Great included breakfast (at least with our group). Shuttle to the mountain comes frequently and picks you up right outside at the end of the driveway. Still uses keys
The rooms are of an older style but they were clean and in good condition. I personally find that it adds a bit of charm to a Vermont ski trip. This was my mother's and my second mother-daughter visit to a Jane Austen weekend, and, as always, our experience was fantastic. I was so impressed with the way they ran the inn that my girlfriend and I already booked our next vacation with them . The food was amazing, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. You won't want to leave .
Highly recommended! The owners are awesome. Friendly, helpful and welcoming - well the whole family AND their dogs (Zoey and Mia). They make you feel right at home. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Everything is well maintained. Breakfast is great. Dog friendly is a wonderful plus. We will definitely be back! I love hob knob. We stay here everytime we visit stowe. Amazing staff and spacious rooms. All at an amazing price!
Great value! Cute smaller inn with less than 20 rooms, so it’s quiet even when full. Very clean!! Loved the heated floors in the bathroom. The 2 down falls are it's not as clean as I would like and their are no attendants in case anything went wrong. But other than that we enjoy our time there.
We have stayed here several times and will continue to from here on out whenever we stay in Stowe. We have tried other innes within the same price point and this place is by far the best. They have tea and cookie time. A game room with a pool table, air hokey, ping pong and some arcade games. A indoor and seasonal outdoor pool. A shuffle board area. A horseshoe area. A jungle gym and slide area with...

We really enjoyed the breakfast. Valerie puts a lot of effort so the guests can start the day with a culinary delight. The house itself is beautiful and the backyard is amazing, great view of the mountains and woods.
We have had the absolute best time here. Ownership just changed when we stayed but it was still exactly what we hoped it would be, in big part thanks to Hannah and Rob. Amazing breakfast including fresh maple scones, cozy rooms, a hot tub perfect for after a ski day and a great fire always ready to roar. Recommend booking directly through the website where each room is distinctly described. We will...
We had the BEST stay! Met so many friendly people and the breakfast was incredible we made sure not to miss it every morning! Thank you soooo much! Best wishes on your new adventure.
My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at the Timberholm Inn and I cannot recommend it enough. It had all the charm you’d ever want and was in a great location. There is a great view of the mountains, a garden to sit outside and just enjoy the scenery, and a cozy main room. Valarie cooked restaurant quality breakfast every morning with attention to detail, there was great conversation, and the cutest...
Valarie is an awesome innkeeper! She was very helpful telling us places to check out each day. Had a great stay. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Bed was very comfortable. Room very nice. Was fun hanging by fire pit with new friends from Nebraska! Had an awesome stay!
We chose this lodging for a 4-night anniversary getaway. It was the perfect choice. I picked the Aspen room and it was roomy and clean. It sits at the end of the building, giving more of a private feel. The king bed was so comfortable. The breakfasts were great! We ate something different each day and each meal was prepared flawlessly. We had eggs, waffles, quiche, and oatmeal pancakes. This is the...

I previously stayed at the Tälta the first week of November 2021, only a few weeks after they had finished renovating the entire lodge into what you see today. After my second stay this year, right before peak Fall Foliage season, I can easily say I will continue to stay at the Tälta from now on when I visit Stowe. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is excellent and very responsive to question...
The Tälta Lodge Bluebird is a great stop/stay in Stowe, VT. We (five couples on motorcycles traveling from a trip to Niagara Falls) decided to stay the night and found this hotel beautiful and clean. The hotel has a Scandinavian vibe, modern and minimalist. The rooms were terrific, immaculate, and nicely furnished, and the bed was dreamy comfortable. The staff is friendly and professional, and very...
The modern Scandinavian design makes your stay here wonderful, with clean relaxing rooms and beautiful lounge areas. The pool is great, not too busy and comfortably warm. There is coffee in the morning and drinks available at the front desk. Showers in the rooms are hot, with great water pressure and nice modern fixtures. Beds and pillows are comfortable. The backyard area is gorgeous, especially...
We had a fun time staying in the bunk room. The sauna was always hot and it was nice to then cool off in the cold pool. The room being next to the pool did have a slight bleach/chemical smell to it at first. I would return but not stay in the bunk room. The bathrooms are really nice, great shower, comfy beds and we also enjoyed hanging out in the lounge area downstairs.
Great hotel with an amazing outdoorsy vibe! My boyfriend and I stayed here for several days while skiing at Stowe. The hotel is perfect for a ski vacation since it is close to the mountain and to town. All the staff members were very friendly and accommodating. There is also beer and food available at the front desk, which was perfect for apres ski. We also took advantage of the sauna. The gear lockers...
Not bad for a last minute book at a lower price. The rooms were quite outdated and minimal though clean. The walls/doors/everything are definitely thin, you can hear almost everything when there's any activity around. The heat at night also seemed extremely high, to the point where my husband had to put the AC on in the middle of the night. In the middle of winter. The staff were excellent though,...
