The Barrymore Hotel Tampa Riverwalk

Spent two nights pre-cruise at the Barrymore Hotel Tampa Riverwalk. The hotel is conveniently located right along the Canal and the Riverwalk is very quiet and relaxing. Rooms are clean and spacious with all the amenities (microwave, mini refrigerator, iron, ironing board) that anyone might need during their stay. Bedding was clean and very comfortable. Bathroom was clean, modern with plenty of space. Concierge desk was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, polite, prompt and professional in providing great customer service. The hotel also provides a free shuttle to the Cruise Terminal for guests staying at the hotel.

We had a great stay. Pool was clean and neat. Some deck furniture was aging but still quite nice.
Room was good. Zero issues. Bathrooms are a bit small; it’s probably a bit old and they didn’t build them as big as they do now?
It was nicely remodeled though. Room was as good as you could ask for.

Price was nice and provided a great value. Clerk offered us late check out when my kiddo was so sad that the pool opened at 10:00 and checkout was at 11:00. That gave us time to swim and change before leaving. Staff was great.

Super nice people, helpful and patient. We were a large group with children and older people too. The hotel was close by to our port . Our room was sufficient but our microwave didn't get cold for all the food we had . We ended up throwing meals away. But they have a great shuttle too. Again the front desk was very nice 👍🙂

We stayed in the early part of November for 7 nights at the Barrymore. It is located in downtown Tampa, which was very helpful. It is a nice hotel with some upgrades in the lobby, 4 elevators, comfortable seating and a wonderful little resturant in the corner across from the desk without a sign yet because they are new but WOW, you must try their breakfasts! Super delicious, generous portions, and so convenient. We found it by accident. They also do limited dinners I believe.

Our room was clean, had a really nice water view, spacious for a double queen. The bathroom is very small though. The beds could use a turn over of the top mattress because mine was a bit lopsided and not that comfortable. But it had a good size table and 3 chairs, a dresser, a full mirror, a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker . We never watched TV because we were busy exploring Tampa and the area. The pool is nice also. All in all, it was a good stay. The parking was $10.80 per day, not bad if you can't find free parking.

The location was great though. Close to everything - restaurants, shopping, parks, highways and all else. We would return.
