The Westin Tampa Waterside

We stayed for one night at the Westin. We stayed at 4 different Tampa Marriott properties in 4 nights and this was by FAR the best stay. The bed and linens were so comfortable, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The room was clean and had a nice view. The hotel employees were all wonderful, cherry and helpful. The bathroom could use an update but it was clean (and very large!) and that's really all I cared about. The pool was out of service due to Helene, but that was ok.

The Hotel is in a great area, with nice restaurants nearby and a close walk to downtown. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Everything about the beds were great! One of the best sleeps I’ve had in a hotel.

The only issue I had with the rooms is the bathroom, it was missing body wash for the first two nights. I bring my own so this wasn’t an issue for me but it would have been for others.

The location of the hotel is amazing! I also loved the Starbucks and ice cream place were so close!

We stayed at the Westin for a conference at the Tampa Convention Center. As other reviewers mentioned, the hotel is older. However, we found our room to be clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable with nice bedding. The AC was perfect which is often not the case. Service was friendly and prompt. The valets were awesome and again so friendly. We had a small issue in the room and it was rectified immediately. There are several restaurants attached to the hotel that were great including The Fold for Italian (best pizza we’ve had outside NYC), a few bar/restaurants and a Starbucks. The river views were great and the short walk across the bridge to the convention center was very pleasant. For the room rate, the location and service can’t be beat!

I enjoyed my stay and I would give the service five stars but I had to request a lot of essential hotel stuff like towels. However, Betty, one of the cleaning ladies was the best! She did not work in our room section, but she went above and beyond to help us and make our stay pleasant and comfortable.

There is not a lot to do in the surrounding area of the hotel, you will have to travel out but the river views are spectacular. The restaurants, Jackson and American Social, are lacking when it comes to customer service and I was very disappointed with their service.

We were there for our son's wedding and had lots of family with us. All of the staff were amazing! Kim at the front desk went out of her way to make us happy! All of the folks at the front desk were superstars: Kim, George, Ron, and Anastasia! Thank you for an an amazing stay! The beds and bedding were awesome and so comfy! Even our 84 year old mother who never sleeps well, slept like a baby! Wonderful experience!

This was a great experience. Front desk staff were very kind and accommodating. Parking is valet only. You can walk to pretty much anything in downtown Tampa and the TECO trolley is right there. Starbucks and 2 restaurants attached to the hotel as well as a bar/restaurant within. Views of the bay. The only complaints are that the pillows were terrible. We did need to ask for extra bedding for the pull out couch as well. Other than that it was beautiful and easy.
