I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Shady Brook Inn and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience. The inn itself was charming and well-maintained, with comfortable rooms and plenty of amenities to make our stay enjoyable.
But what really made the trip special was our host, Vernon. He was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Whether it was suggesting local restaurants and activities, or helping us with any issues that arose, Vernon was always there to assist.
I highly recommend the Shady Brook Inn for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway, and a special thanks to Vernon for making our stay so memorable.

We have family that lives near Shady Brook Inn and Resort, and after driving by the property many times, we finally booked a three-day weekend in the lovely Enchantment Suite. We have known that the property itself is lovely and the location, situated in Taos Canyon between Taos and Angel Fire, is ideal for accessing the area and stunningly beautiful, but we were blown away the warm hospitality of Vernon, the manager and host, unparalleled in our travel experience. We cannot wait to return and will not make the mistake again of booking anywhere else!

Our experience with Shady Brook Inn was excellent. Vern is the perfect host. Our room the Enchanted room on the end was cozy, very clean & I am in love with the floor heating. Best showers ever in a hotel. It was incredibly peaceful and once again our host Vern was absolutely the best! My kid Zannder loved his CD as well

The hospitality was beyond amazing. Vernon and his wife made us feel at home. And some of the best views you could ask for! God bless them! Will definitely come back and recommend to everyone!!

The Shady Brook Inn was a fantastic find on our trip to New Mexico. Our beautiful house was the top of the line in comfort and beauty and cleanliness . We were able to relax, shop and dine in Taos and also drive to the trails in Carson National Forest. My grandson enjoyed the nearby horseback riding while we enjoyed the cool shady hiking trails. Vernon and Debbie are so friendly. They even left a birthday cake and bottle of wine for us when they found one of us was celebrating a birthday! We will definitely return on our next trip.
