Taos, 1508 Paseo del Pueblo Sur 🧭 Map
A bit dated but quiet and good service. I did not see an elevator... The restaurant serves decent food with reasonable service for a small town. It is located at the entrance to Taos from Santa Fe so not close to the square. I would stay again. I had a refrigerator and microwave which was nice for a week long stay.
We only stayed one night. Very authentic and historic New Mexico style lodge. There were two of us and we selected a Junior Suite room with a fireplace in one room and bed in another room. The suite was quite spacious with a front room with Murphy bed and table with two chairs, TV, small refrigerator. We had a nice fire in the fireplace with the wood and fire-starter they provided, which made the place...
Haven’t eaten here in a while but will again soon. Great breakfast experience. Food was well prepared and tasty. The pancake Deb had (and shared) was most excellent. The coffee was robust. Our server was attentive, helpful and friendly. Overall a very good dining experience.
Tried to stay here but they were booked up. The woman at the desk trying to help volunteered that we should try Quality Inn down the road. Granted we had been on the road for 10hrs, but I didn't think we looked that bad. This hotel was already a step "down" for us. Don't know why she thought we'd stay at Quality Inn (we don't). We were just looking to try a different hotel than our usual. We went ahead...
Hit and miss. Reserve via hotwire and you'll end up in an old "Bates Motel" type of room that has an old A/C heater that runs loudly all night long. Reserve one of the better rooms and they are very classy and comfortable.
Authentic old world charm in the original bar and restaurant. Spacious grounds with plenty of parking make the inn comfortable and convenient. Our original room assignment was a rather unpleasant surprise but the desk staff were very accommodating when we requested an upgrade. Photos show our pleasant, and large accommodation. Breakfast was hot and hearty. We would stay again.

We stayed at El Monte Sagrado this last weekend. My biggest tip, especially if you want to enjoy a spa service, is to make sure you book a few weeks ahead of time for your spa service. You will need to call spa directly to book appointments or check availability. Then book your room. This was advice given to me verbally over the phone by an employee at the spa. No where on the website did it indicate...
Beautiful and unique property with excellent staff. We booked a block of rooms here for our June wedding (we married offsite). It was so nice to have a beautiful place for our friends and family to stay. We hosted a brunch the day after the wedding and the food and service were great. We can't wait to go back!
Loving our stay here for our friend's wedding. So close to downtown, and they provide shuttle service within 3mi. Pool is amazing, for kids and grown ups. Dog friendly and kid friendly. Restaurant and bar hit the spot. If you're looking to treat yourself to a nice stay in Taos, I'd highly recommend this place.
Did a three week road-trip through CO, NM, and AZ. This place was probably our favorite surprise. A really nice property, every single person I met was super friendly, had great breakfasts and dinners at their restaurant. An easy walk to town, and the Kit Carson Museum that is open everyday now. The bar staff were great, as were the cocktails. The hotel might need a little TLC in spots, but overall...
We had a lovely stay. The pool was really nice with the plants. Our room had a very nice bathroom, and the shower was especially relaxing. This resort has a beautiful property and can provide a calming and relaxing getaway. I was sad that I didn't get to enjoy the spa because they were booked up, so be sure to schedule in advance.
the room was wonderful, so was the location and the property: the hotel is situated in a big lovely garden We wish to particularly praise Mr. Jerome for his welcoming warmth, kindness and very pleasant disposition

Beautiful place, nice room, huge bed, huge fridge, quiet and clean. Staff was really nice and helpful.
I was very tired and didn't experience much, but the (un-renovated) room was a little dated, and the shower faucet looked a little different, but everything worked fine. The room was clean and nicer than expected, given there was a choice between renovated ($186) room or un-renovated ($117). I left well rested and happy. Front desk help was very friendly and helpful.
Christmas in Taos. Each year our family makes our way to the Taos Valley Lodge. This year we decided to book one of their newly remodeled Deluxe Rooms. We absolutely loved the new design. Beds were fabulous along with the new modern amenities. You guys have come a long way since our first visit back in 2017. Great job everyone, keep up the good work. We’ll be back in a few months!
We loved this hotel! We knew exactly what to expect and the price was perfect. Rooms were clean (and we are particular about that). The service was wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. The Expresso bar delivered great beverages and the most delicious raspberry croissant I've ever tasted. I understand the baked goods were from The Chocolate Maven in Santa Fe, a favorite of mine. The only improvement...
I would give 3.5 stars if that was possible. Check in was smooth and the staff are friendly and helpful. The minus statrs are from the dated rooms and small ...I mean tiny bathroom. There was a random hair in the shower that housekeeping should have attended to. The TV was also dated and there was a lack of outlets near the bed to charge our phones by the bathroom vanity while sleeping. The location...
I had a wonderful experience staying at this Hotel. You can see they’re working on a lot of projects and remodeling. The Espresso Bar was a beautifully decorated space with nice music, great coffee and very pleasant barista. I stayed in one of the deluxe rooms on the second floor with a view of Taos mountain. The room was super clean, beds comfortable and also very well decorated. It had a cute retro...

Lovely mostly ground floor rooms where you can park right outside your door. I always love that option! Easy unload and load. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Shower/ tub in the room. Clean plank vinyl flooring. Table and chairs and spacious bathroom. Near everything!! What's not to love? Great price! We'll be back!!
We stayed one night, the hotel is older and a but dated. But the room was huge with a large dressing area off the bathroom. It just seam a bit sort of eerie for some reason. We just felt strange that they put us all the way in the back of the complex so many rooms but hardly anyone there. The beds were comfortable so for one night it was good and the price was reasonable. I would say that if your in...
Stayed, one night in mid-September, 2021. A great place to stay! Clean, roomy & decor was beautiful as it was recently redone. Our TV made odd noises when changing the channel but that's the only negative. Staff was welcoming and kind. It was a wonderful quiet night's rest. Met the owner in the morning and he was really nice. We'd like to return one day soon and stay longer.
(Our stay was in Sep 2021) Though I'm 75 and was only traveling with one companion, this is a great spot for families. If you're traveling with a family, you're missing something if you're not staying here! I've visited in the past, but it was a long time ago. It's so spacious, and that includes the rooms. I never liked the strange ceilings - and have to admit the lighter color paint does help...

I liked the inside of the hotel from the lobby to the sitting area at the entrance. The room was clean and comfortable. I took one star off because the shower head and water flow has room for improvement, but it cleans you. The staff was okay. Not rude, but not friendly. No eye contact, and matter-of-fact attitude. Do not make you feel welcomed, but do not make you feel like you are a burden. Customer...
We enjoyed our stay here very much. Our room was primo! We stayed in 125 which is a 2 level suite. It had a door going out to the parking lot, a door going to the hallway downstairs, and a door going to the hallway upstairs. A full kitchen, dining, and living room with a TV and a Murphy bed downstairs. A king size bed, dressers, TV, closet, and bathroom upstairs. Very spacious and clean. The breakfast...
The front desk staff I dealt with were courteous. The rooms were a little dated and kinda dark, but it is an older hotel and just needs some updating. The breakfast was standard hotel breakfast and was fine. The having to use a voucher to get your plate was a bit odd, but there is probably a reason behind it. I do think they should give a clean plate if you return for more food, but that's on them...
I relocated to Taos and stayed here for 3 weeks. Experience was great and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good and the rooms are clean. Just far enough away from the congested part of the main street but still close to everything you need. Would definitely recommend staying here.
Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nothing note worthy. Older hotel but great. Would stay there again.
Very cozy, a couple sanitary issues, a little hair in the tub and come soda stains on the bible. But very comfortable. And close to where I am working. All in all not bad.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Afternoon lemonade and cookies were delivered daily. Breakfasts were exceptional. Rooms were comfortable and the inn and grounds beautiful.
Such a lovely place to stay in Taos! The owner went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. Breakfast was a 10/10 with multiple delicious courses and was even catered to our dietary restrictions. Our dog loved being able to travel and stay with us for the weekend. We can’t wait to return & spend many more weekends exploring the area.
recently stayed at a bed and breakfast and was blown away by the level of service and comfort provided. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. My fiancee and I had a great time with our two pups! The property was gorgeous and everyone was very kind. The suite was very spacious and beautiful and the breakfasts were delicious. Unfortunately, I have a bad back and soft beds really do a number on me. We had to cut our trip short, but Christine was very understanding and helpful throughout the process. All in all it was great trip and stay.
We stayed two nights in Cobre, one of the B&B’s larger rooms. It was perfect and accommodated our family of three. We absolutely loved the bathtub and all the attention to detail - the furniture, including the wrought iron bed frame and nightstands complemented the area. Fantastic. Owner is amazing, every inch of the property and the lodging is charming and cozy, you get fresh eggs daily from the chickens that you can also feed your leftovers to, it's simply the best. I can't imagine a better place to stay.

Stayed at Casa Gallina in Spring 2019. Loved it! Richard was a perfect host. Spent five nights here so we could visit with our mom who was in end-of-life hospice care at the Taos Living Center. Hotel was five minutes away, which was great! Excellent friendly staff; clean comfortable rooms with excellent beds. Great breakfast each morning. Excellent location to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. If we have to go back, would definitely consider staying here again. 😀
Excellent experience. Very accommodating personnel from front desk to management level. We unfortunately forget some stuff in room and the staff worked with us to get it back to us. They were all super nice and very helpful even during our 5 night stay there. Would most definitely recommend this property
We stayed 2 nights. The staff at the desk especially Melinda were all very nice. Unfortunately the carpet area on one side of the room was flooded and they were booked solid so we could not move to another room. The AC had mechanical problems, causing the leak. The rooms could use better cleaning with carpet stains and bathrooms needing a good scrubbing.
Monique was great at check in, explained breakfast hours and pool hours. My family and I stayed for the weekend, we had three rooms and all were comfortable, clean and in good condition. What a charming property! We very much enjoyed our stay, thanks in large part to gracious hospitality and some very comfy beds. The rooms are well-appointed and cozy, and the property was located in easy walking distance of downtown. The breakfast was great, and we really enjoyed speaking with the property managers and other guests at breakfast. We will definitely stay again!
Amazing place! You could not possibly ask for more. Spotless rooms, extremely friendly people, incredible breakfast with green chili to die for- one of the best places I've ever stayed. Next time I visit Taos, this will be my first choice.
My husband and I just spent a little staycation babymoon up in Taos at Palacio De Marquesa. We had a lovely stay in the Matriarch Suite. The room was clean and very very nice. First off, this is a boutique hotel with 6 or 7 rooms, each having their own unique design. It is well located and the rooms are very nice and comfortable. If you just need a hotel room, this is not for you. If you want an experience that costs a bit more, while visiting this historic town, then this is the place. It's very quiet and off the beaten path. We were very happy with our stay.
Rooms were very clean, well appointed and the bathrooms were dreamy. Breakfast exceptional. Fresh juice, coffee, teas, egg dishes with a light green chile sauce on the side. Fresh baked pastries, bacon, bread pudding w sauce. I could go on… and the staff was friendly and super helpful. It’s a short walk to the plaza and far enough away to feel remote and private. We had a great stay.

Just got home from a 2 night stay in the Kachina room and wish it was longer! The coffee and breakfasts were fab. Room was a great size and really cute. We booked a room with a fireplace and used it both nights, there was plenty of firewood available. Rochelle was so friendly and welcoming and helped us with some great local suggestions. The most charming place to stay ! From the moment you check in until the moment you leave , pure coziness. Beautiful rooms, the most relaxing and warm breakfast room and deliciously prepared breakfast, kind host and staff. Walkability is perfect to all of the downtown area. Just go !
The room was average but the bed and pillows were great. Check is was easy and the gentleman at the desk was friendly and professional;. Breakfast room was beautiful with high ceilings and traditional New Mexican with muraled wallsl. Breakfast had a number of hot choices, coffee, tea, muffins, granola, yogurt. Would definitely stay here again. Great location for galleries and restaurants.
Stayed one night and found the property to be a little rustic, but well kept. The lady at the front desk did not greet us but blandly affirmed cc info then took us to our room, pointing out the location for breakfast on the way, then informing us that no employee is available after 7pm. This was our bone of contention…. everything about the hotel was great except the breakfast. The room was enticing, the food and the service were very, very poor. There was no value for money at all.
The hotel is historical and has beautiful architectural elements. There are so many little nuances that make it beautiful! We stayed in a single room with a king bed that overlooked the plaza out front. The room was a little small for two people but it felt cozy (not cramped) so we enjoyed it. The location was great! Very nice historical hotel at historical area. Clean room with wood floor. Very hard to find somewhere else. Something not good is no free breakfast. Something worse is even no tea bags provided. But overall, it is good.
200 years old and holding up pretty well. Great location right on Taos Plaza and just a few steps from restaurants, coffee, art galleries, and every New Mexican tchotchke you can think of to take home to your friends and family! Yolanda was a great host. The room we stayed in was very large and comfortable. The house is crept very clean. We had three breakfasts there and they were all delicious. Awesome place I would stay there again for sure!
