Kachina Lodge Resort and Meeting Center

Lovely mostly ground floor rooms where you can park right outside your door. I always love that option! Easy unload and load. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Shower/ tub in the room. Clean plank vinyl flooring. Table and chairs and spacious bathroom. Near everything!! What's not to love? Great price! We'll be back!!
We stayed one night, the hotel is older and a but dated. But the room was huge with a large dressing area off the bathroom. It just seam a bit sort of eerie for some reason. We just felt strange that they put us all the way in the back of the complex so many rooms but hardly anyone there. The beds were comfortable so for one night it was good and the price was reasonable. I would say that if your in...
Stayed, one night in mid-September, 2021. A great place to stay! Clean, roomy & decor was beautiful as it was recently redone. Our TV made odd noises when changing the channel but that's the only negative. Staff was welcoming and kind. It was a wonderful quiet night's rest. Met the owner in the morning and he was really nice. We'd like to return one day soon and stay longer.
(Our stay was in Sep 2021) Though I'm 75 and was only traveling with one companion, this is a great spot for families. If you're traveling with a family, you're missing something if you're not staying here! I've visited in the past, but it was a long time ago. It's so spacious, and that includes the rooms. I never liked the strange ceilings - and have to admit the lighter color paint does help...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Shady Brook Inn and I have to say, it was a wonderful experience. The inn itself was charming and well-maintained, with comfortable rooms and plenty of amenities to make our stay enjoyable. But what really made the trip special was our host, Vernon. He was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything...
We have family that lives near Shady Brook Inn and Resort, and after driving by the property many times, we finally booked a three-day weekend in the lovely Enchantment Suite. We have known that the property itself is lovely and the location, situated in Taos Canyon between Taos and Angel Fire, is ideal for accessing the area and stunningly beautiful, but we were blown away the warm hospitality of...
Our experience with Shady Brook Inn was excellent. Vern is the perfect host. Our room the Enchanted room on the end was cozy, very clean & I am in love with the floor heating. Best showers ever in a hotel. It was incredibly peaceful and once again our host Vern was absolutely the best! My kid Zannder loved his CD as well
The hospitality was beyond amazing. Vernon and his wife made us feel at home. And some of the best views you could ask for! God bless them! Will definitely come back and recommend to everyone!!
The Shady Brook Inn was a fantastic find on our trip to New Mexico. Our beautiful house was the top of the line in comfort and beauty and cleanliness . We were able to relax, shop and dine in Taos and also drive to the trails in Carson National Forest. My grandson enjoyed the nearby horseback riding while we enjoyed the cool shady hiking trails. Vernon and Debbie are so friendly. They even left...

My wife and I loved the stay. The room and atmosphere were what we needed. The host Peggy was just delightful. Breakfast was excellent. Will be back when and if we see green grass and trees next year. Heartily recommend.
Great historic hotel. Like a big B&B. Our room was the smallest, so its good we were there for one night. It was cute and confortable for us, nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed. The breakfest is wonderful!
A true gem! Peggy was such a wonderful host, warm and welcoming! I spent one night in the wild rose room, it was cozy and quaint. Bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft, big plus. Breakfast was delicious and was able to enjoy it on the patio with such a pretty view. 10/10 will be back!
The Inn at La Loma Plaza was a true oasis! Peggy, owner & hostess supreme, accommodated our last minute reservation with grace and warmth. After a week of camping, it was a rainy night and we were happy to be in the well-appointed inn with all its homey amenities. The room was well-equipped and comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delicious (eggs florentine, sausage, toast, fresh fruit, coffee, juice...
The nicest, quiet little gem we’ve found in a long time. Very comfortable accommodations with beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces to chill, enjoy a cup of coffee or book. Wonderful location, 10 minute walk to downtown Taos. Peggy is a soft, generous and warm host. Delicious breakfast on top of it all. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!!
I would highly recommend a stay at Inn on La Loma Plaza. Peggy and Jerry are absolutely 2 of the best hosts you can imagine. We stayed in a queen room with a fireplace. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable and we were very grateful for the A/C. The bathroom was huge! Our room had a mini fridge and coffee maker as well. It was very comfortable. The courtyard is beautiful and the shared...

Beautiful place, nice room, huge bed, huge fridge, quiet and clean. Staff was really nice and helpful.
I was very tired and didn't experience much, but the (un-renovated) room was a little dated, and the shower faucet looked a little different, but everything worked fine. The room was clean and nicer than expected, given there was a choice between renovated ($186) room or un-renovated ($117). I left well rested and happy. Front desk help was very friendly and helpful.
Christmas in Taos. Each year our family makes our way to the Taos Valley Lodge. This year we decided to book one of their newly remodeled Deluxe Rooms. We absolutely loved the new design. Beds were fabulous along with the new modern amenities. You guys have come a long way since our first visit back in 2017. Great job everyone, keep up the good work. We’ll be back in a few months!
We loved this hotel! We knew exactly what to expect and the price was perfect. Rooms were clean (and we are particular about that). The service was wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. The Expresso bar delivered great beverages and the most delicious raspberry croissant I've ever tasted. I understand the baked goods were from The Chocolate Maven in Santa Fe, a favorite of mine. The only improvement...
I would give 3.5 stars if that was possible. Check in was smooth and the staff are friendly and helpful. The minus statrs are from the dated rooms and small ...I mean tiny bathroom. There was a random hair in the shower that housekeeping should have attended to. The TV was also dated and there was a lack of outlets near the bed to charge our phones by the bathroom vanity while sleeping. The location...
I had a wonderful experience staying at this Hotel. You can see they’re working on a lot of projects and remodeling. The Espresso Bar was a beautifully decorated space with nice music, great coffee and very pleasant barista. I stayed in one of the deluxe rooms on the second floor with a view of Taos mountain. The room was super clean, beds comfortable and also very well decorated. It had a cute retro...

The hotel is old and quirky- full of charm. Our room was in the "courtyard" behind the main building. Our floor was not level. But the room was very spacious & comfortable. We had a real, wood burning fireplace! Dinner at Doc Martin's was excellent. Location in old town is perfect.
I just stayed at the Historic Taos Inn and had a lovely time. It was under construction while I was there but the grounds still looks pretty enough for a photo shoot. The complimentary breakfast and happy hour were great additions. Parking was easy and I was happy it was a dog friendly hotel. The room was cute and clean. I loved the fireplace and complimentary firewood. My only compliant would be that...
Not our favorite experience. Full bed rooms are located in the main building. We had to endure 3 hrs of loud live music until 9 pm. Not restful or relaxing as the advertising suggested. Place is nice but just realize you are paying around $200 for a mediocre concert if that matters to you. Response from hotel management was rather passive aggressive as well. Did get a small rebate on the room...
Quaint experience with great historic atmosphere. We stayed here while visiting Taos and overall it was a good experience. The hotel definitely has its rustic charm as a historic hotel. It has a strong Route 66 vibe, and the overall atmosphere reflects that. The check-in was straightforward and easy, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, with comfortable beds, two luggage...
I loved everything about the Taos Inn (except for the fact that I didn't have a bathtub). My room was lovely and made me want to stay forever. The attention to detail is obvious. And I love that it's dog friendly. I didn't have one but I met a few good ones. I also appreciate that the bar had 3 different non-alcoholic beer choices, which is rare. I hope to be back again and again. Thank you Taos for...
We were in Taos for a very fun wedding. We liked this historic inn as it was well located, clean and just overall cute. My husband and I stayed in the main building while our adult children had rooms in the courtyard. They loved that there were tables outside of their rooms to have some very tasty Mexican breakfasts and to just relax together outside between wedding activities. We would definitely...

We stayed here in the summer and it was absolutely amazing. So my wife and I decided to try staying here in the winter. And it was cozy and warm. The hospitality was incredible. And the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend. My wife and I plan on visiting twice year going forward. Thank you OTGH for the memorable time.👍👍👍👍👍
Sweet spot! Loved it. Stayed in Artist Studio. Reservations in advance will score you Terrace Suite. Gorgeous sunset views and casual welcoming atmosphere. Thanks Sarah!
We loved our visit to Old Taos Guesthouse. The room was roomy and the bed comfortable. The innkeepers were friendly and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was served in the main lodge room. We enjoyed the fruit cup and quiche, as well as the muffins and coffee. The location is out of the downtown historic area so it's necessary to drive and park when visiting the historic area. This is the only...
Loved my stay here! ‘Serene’ best describes this little oasis just outside of downtown Taos. The linens & pillows provided a very restful night sleep. The incredible breakfast was the perfect start to our day! I was here for a work trip & it was a surprising break from the corporate hotels we usually stay in. Can’t wait to come back for a personal visit!
Go here! It’s amazing! My husband and I stayed for two nights in February. Our room was beautiful and comfortable and cozy (but also large!). It was so nice we we didn’t want to go out after we got back from skiing, so we found takeout and spent several hours by the fire. The breakfast is delicious, the hosts are so welcoming and kind. We will be back!!
What a charming B&B!! Bob and Cady were so welcoming and the room we had was awesome. We stayed in the Sunrise Suite. Had a decent little kitchen and 2 rooms. The amount of time, effort and money they have spent to update the 200 year old place is obvious. They have a cool central room that is open 24/7 that is a nice place to hang out and socialize with other guests. The location is in an older part...

My stay here has been fabulous. Everyone has been friendly and helpful. I had the opportunity to work with Kari Jaramillo, Brooke Kreitinger, and Aaron O'Dell. All were exceptional and I would gladly work with them again.
Nice building, it is very convinient that it is right next to the ski lifts. Bed was uncomfortable, but I am never comfortable so it might be fine for you. Some things that I would expect to be in hotel rooms were missing like plates and cups. They do provide free snacks in the lobby occasionally!
Great Scheduling service, great customer service, and very convenient for anytime of the day skiing. Yes, the place is a bit outdated, but the room is very spacious especial with a public patio for Atrium rooms, and friendly customer service made up what is lack of in other areas. We enjoyed the whole week of stay there and will definitely be back again.
We spent three days here.I asked for it because I didn't have a hanger, but I could only use three more, and I asked for more, but they didn't give me one. There were not enough towels and no body wash. Above all, whenever I opened the curtain, the curtain rod almost fell and I was very surprised. It was a good ski resort in terms of location, so I enjoyed it.
