Avoid avoid avoid!!!

Yes this is a 3 star hotel, but I’ve stayed in 2 star hotels that were much cleaner and the staff was more accommodating. This hotel charges you for everything, you want a fridge? $15. You want a microwave? $15. Also they’ll probably forget to put the appliance in your room too after charging you and act surprised when you tell them. The rooms are nothing special and look like they haven’t been updated since the day the hotel was built in 1964. That’s not even remotely the worst part. There was mold in the bathroom, behind and under the sink. The towels were dirty, and the bathtub would not drain when showering. If housekeeping did clean the bathtub they would have noticed the tub is not draining.

We tried to check out the same night we arrived, the front desk isn’t open 24hrs, but they do close at 10pm. I went to the front desk at 9:40pm and no one was there so I called using the desk phone and spoke with the lady who told me ‘sorry I can’t do anything for you, the computer is turned off. I cant check you out or get you a new room until tomorrow.’

At 7:45am we promptly checked out and I let the front desk lady (different from the night before) know about our experience. She acted like I had a thumb coming out of my forehead and said no one’s ever complained about their room being gross. When I asked for a refund she told me it’s up to the owner who is unavailable until Wednesday (it’s currently Monday). There was no attempt to remediate this terrible terrible stay. Awful experience, we left and went home.

NOT A SUMMER HOTEL...

Stayed here for the 2nd time but first time during summer. There is no air conditioning in rooms and rooms are too hot. Got a room on 4th floor which had attic and it was a heat chamber. Requested front desk to accommodate us in a different room but she said no rooms available (not true).

I reached out to front desk again next morning and they now moved us to a room on 3rd floor. It was a little better but to make room cooler we had to leave the room door open all the time, use 2 fans and use humidifier non stop. But even after this much creativity, room was warm.

There was no fridge in the room, ice maker is only in restaurant.

Price includes breakfast but it is non existence, no eggs or hot meal. Few bagels or cookies to pick from. It is more like welcome treat rather than breakfast. You will end up eating out.

If you are reading this then please don't stay here during summers, it will be very very uncomfortable and can't enjoy vacation.

Locations is the best...

This hotel is a dump… gold carpeting, cardboard towels, subpar and unfriendly service, very very dated.

That said, it is clean and the location cannot be beat- in the heart of Vail Village! Restaurants and bars, skiing and hiking, and all the beauty of Vail within steps out your door.

Service checking in was subpar. When we called prior to arrival to ask if our room was ready, the hotel concierge desk told us “no, it’s not”. Then I asked, “would you like to know my last name so that you can check for me?” When asked if we could park in the hotel garage, again the answer was a hard no.

Service in the restaurant is almost laughable. Continental Breakfast closes at 9:30 sharp, the coffee is weak, and it’s always empty. The servers are short and curt. Just not a pleasant experience.
