Stayed in the hotel for 3 days as part of a conference. The hotels location is amazingly beautiful, especially the lagoon. The hotel itself also looks amazing and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Also loved the legends of Hawaii show they perform! The rooms unfortunately were a bit disappointing, while they were big one could clearly see that the rooms are quite old. While they were clean,...
This is definitely a wonderful place to take a vacation in Big Island. You have ocean views, pools, lagoons, dolphin quest, tropical fishes, and many other facilities. It is HUGE, and worth walking around within this resort. We also had a free upgrade to Makai which is closest to the parking lot. Another thing I want to highlight was I used Digital access in my entire stay, for all the entrances without...
We stayed here for 5 nights. The location is excellent! Especially the lagoon. There are many tropical fish and a few sea turtles that made it the highlight of our trip. The room is spacious and has a nice balcony. I rated a 2 star for service because it seemed very understaffed… we barely used the tram because there was only one line every 20 minutes or so, and it was faster to walk than to take...
I absolutely loved this place. The grounds were immaculately taken care of, the rooms were spacious and clean, and there was a ton of stuff to do to keep you busy. The lagoon was by far my favorite feature - its calm, quiet, and you get to swim among turtles, fish, eels, and all sorts of other miscellaneous wildlife that finds itself into the bay. The food is pricey but comparable to most other local...
Wonderful resort with so much to do! Wish we had more time to spend here. Will definitely return. Snorkeling in the lagoon was great; even with poor visibility there was still plenty of fish and turtles to see, and you can swim under the bridge out to the open ocean or access the beach directly if you prefer, or swim in one of several pools and enjoy the water slides. There’s a train and boats to get...
The resort is nice if you want to be confined to just that area. It has a rail system that is not worth the wait to get where you need to go. Old and slow. The rooms were so old and dated. Carpets are just gross! Sandy and dirty. The $600.00 a night price was not worth the price. The food that we had was so overpriced for something inedible. They trap you in this resort, making it so far to your car...

I did not stay at the hotel but went to the restaurant for dinner. Was $$$$ ($500 for 4ppl). But they validate the valet parking. Food was very very good. Cocktails were very yummy. We were celebrating a birthday and a marriage in our group, they did not offer any free dessert but offered a nice card signed by the whole team. The ocean views were beautiful.
PROS in summary: The location of the Mauna Kea is impressive. The beach is gorgeous and feels private. The staff is kind. Due to this, I rated it a 3/5. My husband and I just returned home after spending six days and five nights at the Mauna Kea to celebrate our honeymoon. Our room was in the beachfront wing, fourth floor. Once inside the room, we both felt the room was nice, with adequate space for...
From first pulling into the hotel, it sparks awe from it's exclusive entrance with long driveway into the beach sets the whole mood. Checking in Omar was extremely helpful and kind, however the lady whispering behind his back not sure if manager or whatever seemed pretty rude We heard him asking if he should pour us juice and she told him no. Wasn't friendly at all, didn't let him check upgrades or...
Had a great five nights here in August. The location is with a white sand beach minutes from your hotel room. Restaurant options on site for dining. Employees were friendly to the guests. Bed was big and comfy. Room was cool at night with AC going. Two different balconies to use.
I would like to share what great service I received at the hotel's beach area yesterday. Special kudos to Manager X, Victor, and Cheryllynn (apologies for possible misspellings). These individuals all went above and beyond to make our beach stay comfortable and amazing. We had taken a hike to get there from the Westin and it was really hot. They all greeted us with professionalism and grace. The...
The hospitality and the effort the hotel provides to make you feel welcome is unparalleled to other hotels. I really loved the incredible ocean view, the gentle breeze that welcomed us along with delicious juice and crisp cold hand towels. However we were definitely underwhelmed by the condition of our oceanfront room. We first noticed upon check in that our bathroom shutter door was not closing properly...

We loved everything, the hotel, the staff, the facilities. Wonderful stay and we certainly hope to come again! Our special thanx are for Sai at the valet parking and the lady San. They were amazing! Also we really liked the dog of Mrs Fitzgerald:-). We had an amazing stay!!!
Great resort, very friendly and helpful staff. Fun pool area with direct access to snorkeling beach. The only reason I'm taking off one star is because while the rooms are quite nice and fairly modern, the facility itself is not and showing its age. Particularly the elevators and patios/decks and some of the cabanas have stains on the fabric. Aside from that we loved it. Especially great for people...
Nice, relaxed resort hotel. Best to get the package that includes the fourth night free and breakfast buffet included. Lots of activities included with the resort fee like free snorkeling gear for four hours daily. Nice snorkeling bay about a 15 minute walk south with a large variety of fish. The hotel will be closing October 2018 for a renovation project that will take about 15 months. We will be...
My favorite hotel in the islands. It has classic Hawaii feel. Not ultra modern and hip. It has the Spirit of Aloha. When we Arrived we were greeted with a lei, juice and towel. Front desk was wonderful. We explained we have always wanted to stay since we saw the hotel on episode of Magnum PI. The front desk was very engaging and truly interested in our story..... Right them, I knew this was...
Absolutely gorgeous place! The hotel is very clean with friendly staff. Beautiful views from the hotel room and from the pool and hot tubs. The gym is a short walk away (with more beautiful sites to enjoy) and it has decent equipment compared to other hotels. We only had breakfast at the hotel and it was very good. There are many options for things to do nearby. When we come back to Hawaii, we will...
Great location. Excellent snorkeling, swimming and diving site. 5 stars for these. Visited more than ten times. Gradual decline in services over the years. 2018 update: in the past, you were greeted by a friendly staff at a desk and presented with refreshing towelettes and a glass of fresh fruit juice. This year's surprise: this type of greeting is reserved for Japanese visitors only, so the staff...

素晴らしい眺めと美味しいお料理が楽しめました。お部屋も清潔で設備も整っていて、とても落ちついて過ごせす。近くにレストランやショップがあるのもとても便利で飲み物やお土産などの品揃えも良いです。
Timeshare side is like its your own place. No fresh towels, no made beds. But laundry in the common area is a huge plus. Pack light. Lava Lava is best for food...go way left off property. Marriott restaurants are meh!
Great place to see, everything you need for a relaxing vacation within walking distance. The pools were nice and the beach, about a five minute walk was very nice. If you look, you'll probably see some sea turtles.
Fabulous resort hotel, beautifully fulfilled a dream of a life time trip to Hawaii. All staff wonderfully professional and friendly. Hotel management promised us they could handle our special dietary needs. Promise kept and exceeded! For once we could enjoy vacation without having to cook our own food. Chefs and servers very careful to be sure we had what we needed, and, instead of making us...
Torn on this. Smoker on the lanai below us kept smoking and hotel operator/security were zero help. Had to close our sliding glass door constantly. We called three times over two days and they just kept smoking. Hotel is teetering on being run down, but they're somehow getting away with charging $500/night. Gym is pretty sad given the size of this place - one cable machine, two leg machines, some free...
From a friend's recommendation we decided to try Waikoloa Beach Marriott. It did not disappoint. Steve and the team went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. A big shout out to Elizabeth (Front desk) and Kathy (Concierge) who took care of all our needs. Our room had a breathtaking view of the ocean with a stunning sunset every night. The resort grounds were beautiful and clean and never...

Great place to stay. Pool area could be larger to accommodate the guests, but overall planning another visit next year.
We like to stay in Waikoloa during our golf trips, and this unit (N34) in the Fairway Villas was perfect! It's on the third floor but there's an elevator. The only downside is having to park in a visitor stall. The closest are adjacent to building M next door. The unit is spacious, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a loft with a bed and bureau. There's central AC, and the place is well furnished...
Beautiful complex. Pool and hot tub were great. Our individual unit needed to be cleaned a little better but otherwise great.
Great golf-course fronting 2 and 3 bedroom condos. One of the better locations in the Waikoloa Beach Resort, these condos are within walking distance of the beach, shops and restaurants
Wonderful grounds and comfortable accommodations. Easily walkable to local shops and restaurants. Located near to A-bay.
We have stayed at Fairway Villas twice now and been very happy with the location. The grounds are kept immaculate, it is quiet and our condos were well equipped. Close to a good beach and shopping.

Absolutely stunning property on the Big Island. Check in and check out were easy. The unit was gorgeous and every comfort of home was included, including a pack and play, high chair and toddler dishes. The onsite pools were enjoyed by my family on multiple occasions. I highly recommend this property for families traveling to the Big Island of Hawaii.
I almost do t want to share what a perfect place this is, but we’ve been really lucky with great accommodations each time. There’s a nice pool and fitness complex in the center and the grocery store is only a short walk away. We will keep coming back!
We stayed at Island Hideaway and had a great time. Very comfortable place, very well stocked. Quiet and private. It was a big plus to be associated with the local resort for access and parking, while still being a private townhouse. It was nice having resort amenities, but you also have off-resort options to the north that are really great, and you're 45 mins from Kona in the south.
Everything you want from a Hawaiian vacation. Scenic, quiet, peaceful, warm and inviting. Great location where you can easily access any other part of the island or if you just want to stay close. The people are fantastic, the restaurants and shops in the area are first rate.
Awesome place. I rented a house here for a week and it was awesome. And there is also a herd of wild goats that go from place to place here.

If you get a chance to visit the petroglyphs it worth the short hike. P.S. wear proper hiking shoes.
The only downfall to our place was the AC duct to drain condensation. Drains right above the upstairs bedroom window and makes a lot of noise when it hits the side of the house. The rest of the experience is awesome. Great layout on plenty of room for the 8 of us.
My wife and I love spending time at Ka Milo. We enjoy the mellow vibe and spacious lanai. We have shared memories with our parents and our friends, and now our children at Ka Milo. Our next step is to purchase a home here, we like it that much. It’s a short walk from the beach, a short walk to shopping, and a short drive to anything else you want to see.
Nice units and great pool area. We stayed in Unit 420, which was a standalone cottage; it was gorgeous and we would highly recommend it. Some of the units have very small driveways, so it can be hard to fit much more than a midsized SUV. The pool is a nice size, but it is unheated. They have an adults-only lap pool and hot tub as well. We never had a problem finding lounge chairs at the pool. Units...
Wow the grounds well kept, the rental property very spacious and clean. Quite and well equipped with things for play
A well designed resort in a great location, near hotel and shops. Kid and adult pools are fantastic!
