The front lady at the desk was incredibly friendly and sweet and the beds were very comfortable but those are about the only good things about this place. Overall, the place is just about the filthiest hotel I've ever slept in and is by no means worth the $240 we paid to stay here. Photos online made this place look wonderful but we were pretty disappointed when we got to our room. We got a stinky room with hair in the sheets and a disgusting film on the door handle and shower knobs. Our room's privacy lock was broken off too. The cups were unwrapped and we found a curly black hair in one of them. Even the towels were linty, thin, and had faded brown stains on them. The coffee maker was dirty and even had an old coffee filter in it. Everything in the room is old and worn down. If there was a beautiful view, you wouldn't be able to see it because the windows are so dirty. As others have said, they've falsely advertised having a pool and breakfast since both were out of commission. We've stayed in budget motels priced less than $100 that were nicer and cleaner than this.

I usually dont like writing reviews whether it’s good or bad, but i’m hoping to save someone if they’re thinking about booking.

To make a long story short, DO NOT BOOK HERE. I will provide more in depth below

This place is a money grab on its last legs. Now, the pictures make this place seem really nice, but do not be fooled like I was. Upon arrival, this place gave me the creeps. The building is very run down.

-Dirty exterior

-moss growing on the side of the building

-rusty lamps mounted on the building

-the rust from the lamps staining the building

-weeds are overgrown

-Trash cans outside are all rusted to the point where they have holes in them

I could go on but if you’ve read this far you get the point. And thats just the exterior. But I was remaining optimistic at this point. So, I try to go into the building to go check in. The inner front door to the building is locked. I thought to myself, maybe i’m just early. I go to my car and check the confirmation email, and it says check in time is 3:00 PM. It was 3:26. So I shoot a call and tell them I am wanting to check in. The lady comes out and opens the door. Now we’re rolling right? Wrong.

NOW HERE is why I am calling it a money grab.
There were far more conditions / situations to be charged extra / Pay full price than there were for a refund.

The only ONE condition for a refund was
a 24 hour ahead cancellation which is typical.

And to be charged Full price / extra
-Leaving 15 Minutes after check in (Still full priced)

-Smoking or even SMELLING like a smokable substance (200$ Fine)

-Damage to property (200$ Fine)

-Clogging a sink or another amenity (250$ Fine)

-Unattended children (200$)

-Loud after quiet hours (200$)

this was all on a document that is basically saying since I’m there, there was no turning back so basically even if I didn’t sign, I wouldn’t see any bit of my money back at all. (Which means I’d still pay full price.) Even if I see the room and dont like the room hence, me calling the place a MONEY GRAB.

Now finally for the room. After the check in process, The attendant shows me to the room. Now keep in mind, I am the only guest in this hotel. I was put in the room closest to the main entrance. On the first floor and to make matters worse was right next to the staff lounge and front desk area.

One thing to note while reading further, I reserved a “King Jacuzzi Suite” which is supposed to be the fanciest rooms they have.

Upon entering the room, I see that the room is very run down, dark and eery.

The bathroom
-Cracked sink
-Mirror glass cracked and the mirror resin itself was fading
-Weak water pressure from toilet and shower
- All the drains were plugged with water in them upon arrival (Signs that there was a cockroach infestation at some point)

The living space
-One coffee table
-Outdated magazines
-Heavily damaged dresser
-One run down futon
- A table with 2 seats
-One big dirty window with the blinds broken and dusty
- A fridge with a dirty microwave and dirty ice bucket on top.

Sleeping area
-Mirrors covered the wall ENTIRE back wall, Heavily damaged and mirror surface fading
-Carpet dirty and stained
-floorboards were very loud
-Bed was comfy but just didnt feel clean due to surrounding area
-Lights were very dim

Jacuzzi Area
-Integrated with sleeping area
-Wardrobe/ cabinet
-Tile around tub was damaged/ breaking off
-Tub itself was stained
-Jets were not clean, residue on the inside
-Mirror glass heavily damaged

All in all, DO NOT STAY HERE. If you’ve read this far thank you for reading. I hope I’ve saved you some money, time and the hassle.

It was a bit pricey but we were limited on options, which I think they probably rely on. It was pet friendly at $25/dog per night and the room had a slider door to outside, which was super convenient. The room was not the cleanest, had old coffee in the machine and cigarette butts outside the door. Considering things were out of order; no pool, no vending machines, no elevator, it should have been about half of the price. If you have nowhere else to go, and two dogs, it’ll work. Not many options for breakfast, just little muffins and cereal. The view is really nice. Some good things, some bad things.

Waldport is an odd little town. The hotel itself is run down looking in the exterior. Pool non functional. No restaurant. Location is cool. My room was clean but others don't seem to have the same experience. Staff is minimal but helpful. We were there to crash one night while traveling up the coast. It was not crowded and I can't imagine how they stay in business.

Gross, creepy looking place. As a former housekeeper, the room would never have passed any inspection. Many items damaged and broken, visible stains and dirt on the thin and worn out towels, slime on shower knobs, hairs under the sheets, on pillows, and even in unwrapped water cups. Other water cup had some sort of stain or dirt on the inside. Carpet floor was not thoroughly vacuumed, windows filthy, dust on everything, coffee maker still had a used coffee pod from the last guest and was clearly not even rinsed. All basic housekeeping items that were not looked at, we weren’t sure if our room had even been cleaned. Place looks run down and is in a very odd location, pool drained and restaurant closed so you don’t get the breakfast advertised on their website. This should be advertised as a budget motel, there is no way this would ever be considered a resort. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

This is a pet friendly hotel that actually calls the sheriff on you if your pet so happens to make a noise....

I have stayed at many hotels and resorts this year and I have never been around a better group of people than the customer service at Alsi resort! The manager was above amazing, my family was with me and all we have to say is thanks so much. Amazing views, Very clean room, new restaurant was charming and the night campfire will always be remembered and we as a family will definitely be back!

One star for location
The service desk was "sorry" for too many things. Room was dirty and seemingly unchecked. (The desk said it was checked twice....Bedding was wrapped on the mattress well, but so many other things weren't really acceptable. The bathroom faucet didn't look like it had been cleaned since installation. Old coffee gross filter in the maker. About half the lightbulbs we're dead. The ones I salvaged from other fixtures so my wife could do her make up at the vanity we're at least weeks worth of dust on them. A ring of some ladies(or long haired gentleman's) hair on the shower drain. Just enough things-without a critical bone in your body- to feel like they did anything but tuck the bed back in, and refill towels
When approached by these things the lady behind the counter said -well it's a pet room!-... So you don't have to clean anything? Not a little bit impressed.

To boot: the owners/management are trying to say these reviews are random people that don't stay there are just lying... My wife and I stayed there. You'll find her review AND NY OWN

To say this is a resort is a flat out lie. I understand why they were the only hotel with vacancies midweek in the area. There was nothing on site that by definition would make it a resort. The restaurant and bar were closed for remodeling in mid-august. The pool was not heated and there is no hot tub. There was not so much as a pop machine and the only food available was a breakfast bag they gave you which contained a cheap pastry and a banana. The rooms are small for the price. The TV only has three channels despite being satellite. The toilet seat was broken and we arrived to find empty tissue boxes in the bathroom. No air conditioning but I will say they had put a decent size ceiling fan in the room. The beds were reasonably comfortable but the room itself was very outdated and the seating was quite uncomfortable. When we booked we were promised a ground floor room as two people in our party were disabled however upon arrival we were given a second floor room and told that they do not take room requests when you make your booking. The parking was decent but the view out our window was of the storage facility by the pool and pallets of what looked like roofing shingles. For the price I could have gotten a much nicer room had we been able to book more in advance at a different location. I would not stay here again, I would not recommend that anyone reading this stay there, and quite honestly I don't understand how this place could stay in business very long. The people working there seem to be fairly nice but you have to remind them several times when you request something as simple as a plunger for the toilet. Save your money sleep in your car.

Could be a good time but missed. Room was in poor condition see pics. Carpet was damp. Resort was in name only, no pool, no restaurant, outside unkempt and no breakfast as advertised. The prices were a joke, bait and switch with front desk. Told it was Beach front ,not, bay view. Asked for a discount due to lack of amenities and was told take it or leave. If we hadn't made plans to meet friends in the morning would have. Sadly if they don't clean up and remodel it will be gone soon. FYI, the replacement breakfast was a banana and a snack bar. A disappointment at every turn.
