Marriott's Manor Club at Ford's Colony

I needed an escape from NYC and found this spot! Overall, I found it to be quite lovely and a perfect visit. The grounds are beautiful and the room was massive and clean. The property itself certainly feels more like a timeshare/apartment complex than a full service hotel. It IS a timeshare so I wasn’t sure what would feel different but it just was. I wish there were more dining options on the property or even a better morning coffee spot. The staff I met was lovely and responded to any inquiries very fast. The location is fairly close to the popular/tourist areas but just far enough away to not feel you are trapped. Overall, if I could get another great deal, I would certainly stay again. Next time I would make sure to be a little more prepared for certain things but very happy. The only real concern I had was noticing what certainly looked to be black mold growth in some of the air vents. I was able to wipe some away with disinfectant but they were stained and went far back. Just an FYI as I think it is important to be as transparent as possible!

We have stayed several times and always have a great time. The villas are family friendly and comfortable. Its is mostly quiet so no sleep or noise complaints. The beds are comfortable. The kitchens are stocked with the basics needed to cook and you can make special requests for special
Items like tea kettles or crockpots for loan from the resort. Its in a a great location as well. Highly recommend!

Its location is ideal, close to different restaurants and shopping areas. Each room has a historical motif. Headboards have the revolutionary figures. There is a clean exercise room as well as indoor and outdoor pools. Golf course is walking distance as well.

Efficiency Suite-

Pros: Nice property. Nice room. Nice staff.

Cons: Didn't realize the pool area by our building was CLOSED for the season, so we had to drive to the other pool because October evenings are very cold! We called ahead and asked this very question before our stay, and the staff told us they were open.
Hot tubs and pools were not filtered or FULL. We got back from a full day of walking and needed the hot tub, was in there 10 minutes & the maintenance person kicked us out at 10pm for weekly sanitization! What? Do that after closing that evening throughout the morning hours while guests are asleep!

Elevators in our building are greased with molasses.

You must pay for extra towels or washcloths or go wash them yourself during your vacation. Our stay was 5 days, and we were provided 4 washcloths for 2 people.

Very nice accommodations. We had two full suites for a family vacation. We've been to other Marriotts that we'd describe as luxurious and although this location is very nice (we've been there 3 times) I wouldn't say it was luxurious. In one of the lockout rooms the AC broke down and the staff did their best and gave us a dehumidifier to help with the air quality, but it was still an uncomfortable evening. The staff did their best and we have no complaint with their efforts. The grounds are beautiful and the location was great, close to everything we wanted to do, and all 8 of us had a wonderful vacation.

Our first time at this place and I overall the service was good and also the amenities for the price paid. The room was decent and spacious, well equipped, still they should provide dish soap and use products that leave a good aroma after use. However the floor/carpets were not as cleaned as they appeared. We started finding debris hidden, Cheerios here and there, lose hairs, ect. So we didn't complaint but will be more vigilant next time if we decide to give it another shot. The location is good and convenient as it is close to plenty of fast foods, restaurants and stores.

Loved this. Stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. It was lovely. Would highly recommend. One bedroom is on the first floor and the second bedroom on the second floor. There are also pull out sofas on each floor. Kitchen is well equipped and is big and spacious for multiple cooks to work!
