Tonsley Hotel

I had been to the Tonsley a couple of times years ago and wasn't impressed but decided to give it another try largely based on more recent reviews and the menu and wasn't disappointed. A nice, spacious dining area, polite staff and meals were served fairly quick especially considering how busy they were. Best of all our meals were fantastic. My son ordered the scotch fillet steak and commented that it was the best steak he'd ever had. It looked so tender and juicy and was cooked perfectly medium-rare. I had the pork cutlet which was lovely and tender with the Guiness sticky glaze a perfect accompaniment. Will be happy to return again in the near future.

OK, this was a gd experience and will stop by again. Wednesday arvo lunch and we walked into a refurbished hotel, very large space and modern restaurant.
Staff all welcoming and the food was on par with many other restaurants.
We had the soy chicken coconut rice bowl that was delicious and the steak, scotch fillet 300grams with mash and peppercorn sauce. Was a bit over the medium rare I asked for but delicious also.

We stayed at The Tonsley for 3 nights because it was centrally located to where we wanted to be. We weren't disappointed, the staff were lovely and very accommodating. The room was great and really clean, with I'm sure original cornices and ceiling rose with chandelier. The only downside for me was the food, the nachoes were terrible, I ordered soft poached eggs for breakfast and they were so rock hard I couldn't eat them. I did give feedback on both but don't think it was passed on. To be fair my family thought the food was nice.

The room is spick and span, exceeded our expectation. It is spacious for our family of 4 which include 2 teens.
Staff contacted us to confirm our late check in and advise us where to head to for assistance.
Sophie is friendly at the gaming room and other staff at the bistro has the eye for detail and committed.
The dinner is magnificent 😋 too.

The Tonsley hotel surprised us. What a lovely place to stay. Close to the main road and yet our room was very quiet, nicely decorated and a great modern bathroom with a powerful shower. All spotlessly clean too. Dinner and breakfast on site. Good menu.

Clean, tidy, modern, staff friendly & helpful. Fairly surprised to how nice room was and how much enjoyed my time there. Would refer a friend and would stay again if needed a decent place in comfort for good price.

Friendly helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great food and atmosphere in the bistro. I enjoyed my stay at Tonsley.

Very decent accommodation. Just didn't like having morning television blaring away while I was trying to enjoy my breakfast.
