Bendigo, Corner of Lucan and Bayne Street 🧭 Map
It was incredibly close to the hospital making it perfect for visiting.
Had the most comfortable bed and pillows I’ve ever slept in (room 209)
The cafe was so convenient and exceptional food as well as value for money
Loved the art vibe. I’m an art teacher, so love that the artwork was the inspiration for the build 😍
No highlights
Room was horribly small and at $231 per night we expected a lot better
People were running in the hallways till all hrs of the morning.
Not enough seating to cater for breakfast
Staff were friendly and helpful
Will never stay in a measure hotel again.
The room was smaller than my walk in robe.
The view from the balcony was of the hospital carpark.
Compact modern room with queen bed.
Semi exposed restaurant and bar on lower level and ordered my meals and took to room as no room service.
Limited parking as shared with hospital next door.
Overall would stay again.
Location is great for many reasons and would tick boxes for different reasons for people, it's close to the medical centre if Bendigo, 10 minutes good walk to the Pal Mal but far enough of the main road to be quiet.
The hotel entrance and foyer are colourful, lots of local art that can also be purchased.
The room I had was small, probably smaller than or the same as an Ibis, in fact the hotel had a...
Quiet room (agree with others it’s a bit tight) great hot water and pressure. A lovely arty twist to the room and lobby. Simple breakfast in the lobby was excellent.

Spacious cabin for the price. Extremely clean and good amenities. Kids had the best time in the playground. Thank you!
Well maintained, clean and friendly family focussed caravan park. Staff are really helpful. Location is out of the way which means it's quiet but easy 10 minute drive to the centre of Bendigo and even closer for shops and fast food.
Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Not alot of van spots like a normal big 4. But plenty of cabins ranging from sleep 6 upto sleep 9. Amenities were good Camp kitchen was good and games room was great. There were 3 bbq's near the camp kitchen. The pool area was good size but the best was the amazing play area for kids from very young upto 12 or 14. It was amazing and they book it out for...
Ensuite suite- fantastic! Site was very new, great design, spacious and clean. Facilities at the park were great- unlimited play at indoor playcentre, pool was great- basic square shape but deep, plenty of room for guests.
Stay would be improved if able to hire our games room items (pool cues, table tennis bats) after 6pm. Otherwise great stay and would recommend if visiting Bendigo with kids
Stayed 2 nights each night in a different cabin both of the cabins were not as clean as they should have been which is disappointing. Couches in both cabins were larger than I expected which was great but horribly uncomfortable. Slightly out dated compared to other places we have stayed(also family member stayed in budget cabin and that was significantly more outdated again but was Advised as a budget...
Staff were lovely, kind and welcoming. Site was maintained and clean. Indoor playground was huge and had air-conditioning for warmer weather it was very comfortable. 3 outdoor pool area was clean and had alot of seating. My kids loved coming here and didn't want to return home lol we will definitely be back. Thank you Bendigo Park Lane for having us.

Spent 2 nights over the 16th and 17th of February 2023 in the Parlour Suite. Has direct access to a beautiful outdoor area opposite the church with bench seating and 2 aluminium chairs (antique'ish) no table, so no facility to eat or drink outdoors and entertain yourselves if you want to BYO. The room was decorated in the old-world style, and the bed was comfortable. Large bathroom and stepover bath...
Stunning, the whole place is simply gorgeous! Hosts are welcoming & give you space to enjoy the house at your own pace.
Lovely old mansion . Beautifully decorated and very clean . Bed was very comfy. Simone was very friendly. Unfortunately no breakfast was on offer which was disappointing.
Beautiful rooms and gardens. Simone was absolutely lovely and really nice to talk to. The lounge was amazing, I'd love to sit at night with some friends in here. Will be back
We loved our stay here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The gardens surrounding are as amazing as the building itself and all the rooms. Entrance is beautiful and we also enjoyed using the sitting rooms. Probably our only negative is the palour room has no windows and as a result was very stuffy (does have air-conditioning). It does come with a separate entrance and terrace, which we left open...
Last minute decision and very happy with it. Breakfast was excellent too for only an additional $15 each. Our hosts did everything to make our stay as easy as possible.

Tent is was cute, but toilets aren’t cleaned properly. We went to the wine testing during waiting for check in but the price for sparkling wine not same on the price list and also price list in tent, It said 25 or 28 for sparkling wine (NV Premium Cuvee Sparkling Brut) but when they charge price it double. It’s seem 45 or more than that ( isn’t included service charge)
I understand with services charge...
Excellent dining with a five star service.
Wine as expected was excellent, but the food is sensational.
We had no problem getting a table here but be prepared for great explanations from the waiting staff about the wines and food .
Worth the money
Had a lovely time thanks for that.
Just 2 things.
1. What’s the reason that you have to walk 600 -700m to your tent with all your luggage why can’t you drive there.?
2. Why can’t you put the tent numbers also in the front off the tents. ?
Can you please do a cop web clean off the restaurant. Not a good image for it!
Food is great and beautiful except for the cob webs. Thanks.
We stayed in the homestead with a large group for our wedding while all of our guests staying in the glamping tents. The staff were amazing and helpful. The restaurant also provides great food. They definitely made the weekend an amazing one
The ladies in reception were lovely and welcoming and offered to drive us down with our luggage. The tent was beautifully set up and clean. The heater in the tent was great and kept us warm the whole time. On arrival we got the cheeseboard platter which was terrible and looked and tasted like it was made weeks ago and it was also tiny and not put together nicely. The only downfall about the glamping...

A reunion I attended was held in the bistro. Professional service and staff. Delicious food (garlic prawns). House white wine was $10, per glass.
We loved our stay at All Seasons Resort. We were only there overnight but we enjoyed a relaxing swim in the pool and my partner loved the sauna. Dinner at the bistro was great value and delicious, as was breakfast the following day. We stayed in one of the spa rooms. The spa was exactly what we needed after a tough few weeks with work. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of room to stretch out...
Rooms were modern, spacious, layout was excellent and cleaned to an exceptional level.
Food from the restaurant was excellent both times I ate from it. Service could be better there’s nothing worse than a line of people with staff members having their own conversations and not serving waiting guests.
Pool and sauna were great. I think the gym could use some work the bike and treadmill both has issues...
The rooms were clean, comfortable and modern. you had everything at your fingertips. staff were friendly and food was good.
I went for dinner on a Saturday night and it was packed, so I recommend that you book a table beforehand. There's 3 great kid's rooms, including a play room, movie room and a gaming room. The food was great and the service was super quick. All the staff members that I had interactions with were just lovely too 😊
Felt spacious and that they can host multiple functions at same time. Lavish car park space too and on a bus route and near a park. Food too was good esp the steak (not sexy/premium) but one won't complain. Staff ensured tables were taken care of well..always attended ...and ya the desserts too were good.

Clean comfortable room, staff very friendly and very very helpful!
I left some clothes behind and they posted it for us as we were already 3 hours down the road!
Awesome hotel, check in super smooth and friendly, the room was clean and tidy and the price fantastic…highly recommend.
Great location and service - staff were lovely. However it's expensive for what you get (and comparative to other motels we stayed at in the area) - rooms are small, leather flaking off couch, 1cm gap under door and small gaps where walls meet ceiling so there were mozzies and midgies coming in and out of the room at night.
It’s more than what you expect for. Clean and tidy, supplies like soap and shampoo plus toaster and coffee, tea and milk. Customer service is excellent. Location is around 5 min drive to the city centre. Highly recommended to budget conscious travellers who want value for their money.
Nice size room. Good parking. Right in front of the room. The owner was really nice and helped me for late check in. Very near to the Bendigo CBD. Quiet place. Stayed for 1 night and no hassle with check out as well. Would recommend of you are planning a short stay in Bendigo. Please call the motel if late check in. They are super helpful. Staying here was very peaceful! We were here for a basketball tournament as a family of 4 and stayed in the 3 BR house. Close to the pool, great grass area, comfortable beds, best pillows and laundry facilities- great to wash basketball gear! Will definitely be back!
We stay here about 3-4 times a year and it’s incredible!!!! Super clean, spacious, close to the shops! Great spot to get a way for a little while
Nice place to stay ,,clean and comfy bed with large TV to watch very powerfull shower nice and hot ,you will get a bit of noise from the main road while trying to sleep ,quite a few mosquitoes so you hav to keep the door shut at all times bbq works very well pool is heaps cold ,over all good
A very well set up place to stay. Very much enjoyed out facilities both Cabin and powered ensuite. Plenary of room. Good for family and couples alike. Clean tidy. Not far from Bendigo city. Easy drive straight in.
A WONDERFUL hidden gem, we booked for 2 adults, lounge dining area are separate from Bedroom and bathroom. This gave us the ability to relax after a long day/drive. CLEAN, beautifully decorated, separated by pretty landscaping between cabins with table and chairs, was delightful to see little wildlife hoping around whilst enjoying our morning coffee. CONGRATULATIONS so so impressed.
Lovely timbered surroundings. Grassed tent areas. Dolomite and concrete caravan sites. A-Line style buildings and ensuites. Entities quite large and have everything you need. Well worth a visit. We'll be going back.

Everything was clean and tidy.
The bed was comfy.
Better than where I stay last year.
If the dates work next year I'll be back.
I borrowed a shaded parking spot for a few hours so the car didn't get to warm with my Lego in it.
Very clean, lovely reception staff. Minimal road noise in room furthest from road. Nice and dark with curtains closed. Comfy bed.
Lovely and clean. So comfortable. In a good position and a very quiet spot. Place is spotless and you can tell the owners care about their motel.
We stayed here 3 nights and everything was great. Very clean room. Staff are friendly. Location is good. Excellent value. Highly recommended. Thanks Tony and the team!
Absolutely wonderful stay! The room was clean and tidy the bed was super comfy but the staff were the best! Having come to town for a funeral Lisa (think that was her name) was so lovely and kept ensuring I had everything I need and assisted me with any questions I had. Would definitely return again! Only complaint would be the car parks at the end are a bit tight but it’s not the end of the world
Large size room, very comfortable bed, footnote and helpful hosts. Very close to hospital for day visitors. Food outlets very close - Thai, souklaki, chicken and fish and chips, pub and bottle shop.

This was a quite little old school motel it was impeccably clean just outdated a little bit but that doesn't matter when you're only staying a few nights
Very fair pricing, comfortable beds and very good amenities but not happy with the brick wall interior and the old bathrooms. Bathrooms need renovation and some rendering of the brickwalls. The service was decent, didn't like how you can't check in after 8:30pm.
Nice and quiet little place within walking distance of nearby shops, housekeeping done daily and the staff and owners are friendly and helpful.
A special thanks to the owners for providing my wife and myself with a lovely clean warm room. We could only stay one night but found the motel perfect. G and N Hardman.😄

My experience with Barclay on View Hotel was great. I booked 11 rooms for friends and family travelling from overseas and interstate for my wedding. Bonita was accommodating and easy to work with. Our guests enjoyed their stay at Barclay. The rooms were comfortable, the service was good, and the location was convenient.
I highly recommend Barclay on View Hotel for any stay in the area!
Rooms were clean, iron board was average at best with very little padding and the iron was terrible. Location was great with easy walking to all dining and town centre. Smokers outside the rooms and below so had to put up with smoke when sitting outside.
Nice comfortable room however the shower would continuously run hot and cold which was quite unpleasant. This happened in the evening and again in the morning. I would have given it 4 stars if not for this.
Mid price motel with comfortable beds and close to the best attractions on View St. An ideal place for us to use as our base during Bendigo Writers Festival. Try to get a downstairs room as the plumbing struggles getting good water pressure to upstairs showers! Owners are helpful and rooms have basic tea/coffee making and a toaster for light breakfasts.
great central location, Clean room, quiet rooms even though it was busy. Being able to open up and let fresh air into the room. Helpful staff and good value.
Very Very friendly. Rooms very clean and good furniture. Our bed was old but Lucky we had a ruim with 2 beds( experienc)!!
Breakfast alone off choice. Locatie is one off the best in Bendigo.
But always the BEHAVIOUR FROM OTHER people is very important when you stay at a Motel.

Great value for what is was. Staff were very friendly and rooms tidy and clean. The pool was an added bonus as it was a warm day.
What a great find if you ever need accommodation in this area we highly recommend. Very clean, spacious, tidy and well equipped rooms. Mini bar well stocked and very very reasonably priced. Affordable tariff and very much found everything as you would hope for.
This is the first motel that we couldn't hear people in the next room....amazing. hot water excellent, water pressure awesome!!! Room clean and really the quality meant we experienced a really enjoyable stay in Bendigo and would definitely return again to the Golden Reef.
Very clean and comfortable. Eugene was friendly and helpful, offering plates and cutlery without us even asking for them. Surprisingly quiet. We will stay again.
Host's Eugene & Brooke including all staff are very accommodating to your needs. Rooms are well serviced and cover the basics you require if not just ask
Clean, comfortable, quiet. It is a motel so don't expect anything more than that, but it is newly renovated and does everything you need a motel to do. One criticism would be the lack of plates / cutlery which makes having a sandwich or toast & jam a little tricky.

Room was excellent. Wifi was fast and reliable. The beds were comfy with a nice mixture of hard and soft pillows. Manager was fantastic. Left the key in a safe place so I could check in later (after the lobby closed) and texted me the details.
It was nice. Parking is a little all over the place.
The food was good from the bistro, but they dropped it off at our room, and then the bloke dropping it off had no idea what we do with the tray after we were done. We put it outside like you would anywhere else, and it was still there in the morning. Tried to call them from the room prior to even ordering, and it just rang out.
Other than that, it...
Had dinner at the National Hotel tonight and had the best meal I’ve ever had! Lamb cutlets were incredible. Parking was a little bit hard because of how busy it was. Even though it was busy food came out quickly. Great service by very friendly staff.
We were looking for a nice Bistro to celebrate Valentine's Day and I must say that the food was superb, we couldn't fault it in any way... Steak was cooked to perfection and the best chips that we've ever eaten anywhere. We'll certainly be back here again.
Heat, storms, rain and no power...time to find a pub with air-conditioning, decent food and power. We had this pub on our agenda but had not found the time. Nabbed a table with no reservation...bonus. The menu had lots of interesting choices and we were both happy with our meals. Sometimes, it's the little things that make the difference for us. Being made to feel welcome and a table being cleared...
Lovely meal, great atmosphere, hospitable staff. Giving you 1 star for those horrible, ugly, uncomfortable little seats, stools, not sure what they are at the dining booths in the room on the hwy side at the far side of the bar. Please put some propper seating there

Stayed here a number of times
Was a clean room, beds where comfortable. A little pricey for 1 night stay. Bathroom was clean but the position of the toilet was awkward right behind the door.
The motel has a great location, service is very pleasant and the rooms are basic but adequate. Bed was comfy enough, shower was good, TV worked and was clean enough. The rooms are a bit scruffy and dated but suited me fine. It was extremely good value for money and would stay there again. The pub next door is very unreconstructed with friendly service and very decent pub grub.
Fantastic, affordable and convenient location. Arrived late so staff waited for me. Good sized room with couch, table and chair and king bed. Couldn't fault it.

Great pub in Bendigo!
Massive menu and beautiful food. The cob loaf and crocquettes were great standouts, as was the pasta of the day and the duck.
We enjoyed it so much that we ate here twice in a three day trip!
Highly recommend
This must be the best value accommodation in Bendigo. The rooms are very comfortable - good beds, newish aircon units, white, bright bathrooms. The 2 bed unit is a great size and has everything you need. Price wise it's amongst the cheapest in Bendigo. What's not to like?
The single best meal I have ever had in 58 years. The sous vide duck with raspberry, hazelnuts, parsnip crisps, cashew and shallot mash. Absolutely divine. Friend agrees: barramundi plate was the best he has ever had.
Had lunch here today. The staff were amazing...so friendly and helpful. My braised pork was sensational...the best pork I've eaten in my life. A huge meal and so much value for money. Couldn't eat it all. Great gluten free options too. Can't wait to come back again. Many thanks.
We went to this gastropub with very few expectations. However the meals we had were exceptional! I had the gnocchi which was great, and my wife had lamb shoulder. The lamb shoulder was the almost the very best she had ever had and that is saying something.

Bendigo Backpackers
Bendigo, 33 Creek St South 🧭 Map
Even though it is slightly out of the Bendigo city centre and will certainly be quiet at night, it is right along the side of the creek that also passes through Bendigo's city centre (within 5-10 minutes on foot), so in that sense it is still very accessible and easy to find your way just by using the creek as reference for directions. Thus it is a good balance between accessibility and peacefulness
Amazing place to stay, rooms are very comfortable and extremely spacious 👍
Communal areas were clean and comfortable as well, coding system makes it easy to access and you don't have to wait for anyone on arrival. Thumbs up X 5
Being a backpackers and at this price point, my expectations were low, however I was very pleasantly surprised. This is a 6 bed, 3 bathroom house that has been converted to a 'backpackers'. Can be as private or social as you choose. Huge bedroom with a comfortable bed, all the facilities were very clean. Great location, walking distance to everything you want to see in Bendigo, highly recommended.
