Rydges Geelong
Geelong, Cnr Gheringhap & Myers St 🧭 Map
What a great destination! The building is getting a little dated but the rooms are very comfortable. The beds are perfect. Rates and food and drink was as expected and a fair price. We will return
I had such a great experience at the Rydges Geelong Hotel. The staff are super friendly and the beds are very comfortable.
I like the initiative where if you choose not to have your room attended for that day you get a $10 food and beverage voucher in exchange.
I felt really cared for during my stay - I would highly recommend this hotel.
This is my third stay at Rydges Geelong for the Avatar course. It has always been smooth and pleasant arrival and departure. The staff are welcoming and accommodating. Good coffee available from the restaurant. The rooms are in great condition and the beds are the BEST! Seriously, every element of the bed is so comfortable; mattress, pillows, sheets, doona... The whole package! I sleep wonderfully...
We stayed one night for a rowing regatta and found the location to be perfect. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel was close to restaurants, shops and the river. The rooms were spacious and clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We slept incredibly well. The hotel is quiet with no traffic or street noise and we managed to get a lovely ocean view. I think we have found...

Great place to stay in Geelong location was
excellent the room spacious and clean
and the staff at reception and room maintenance
welcoming and friendly.
Looking forward to a longer stay next time
Great location on the main *****. Good shops around.
Swimming pool could be warmer considered it’s a heated pool. And family room could have more toys for kids and the projector didn’t work. But the staff were nice and the restaurant was lovely.
We had a lovely stay at Geelong Novotel but unfortunately the air conditioning had broken down. We were given a fan which helped, but it was a struggle to remain comfortable when the temperature was close to 30o outside.
Novotel was a perfect location, rating it as 10 stars if I could. The only thing, I booked for 2 rooms at Trip.com but got only one room when we actually went to Novotel so I need to book again for another room .The reception said I was overpriced from trip.com paying for 2 rooms when it's actually only one ☹️☹️☹️
Everything was good
But when I asked for coffee in the buffet breakfast
They say it’s chargeable.
As per my booking it clearly says toothpaste toothbrush is included. But they were not in the washroom. I didn’t bring as I thought as it’s a 4 star hotel it’s all included.
Very nice hotel. Excellent location on the waterfront close to the waterfront activities. We had a balcony which gave a view of the sea. Room was comfortable and clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Big shopping centre close by. On site Tempo restaurant was very nice - great atmosphere and good food. Just beware of the portion sizes - really big!
Perfect location along the boardwalk. Close to shops and cafes Very good menu, lovely staff Bed was very comfortable, we’ve actually ordered pillows . The whole Room was clean & bathroom was spacious Room was excellent Staff were very helpful, price was steep for valet parking

Discovery Parks - Geelong
Geelong, 59 Barrabool Road 🧭 Map
Very well kept park. Friendly staff clean amenities. So close to Shops 20mins to Beach. Indoor swimming pool. Would recommend this park 100per cent.
Absolutely fantastic. Really clean amenities and alot of space. I would recommend this park to anyone staying in Geelong for a weekend or longer
Rooms - Cabin was clean and spacious with own kitchenette. No heater in room but there is a heater in the lounge area.
Service - There is no reception after hours but checking in was no fuss. I checked in afterhours and had to call sfaff to give a a code to access my cabin key.
Location - short drive to CBD and other amenities.
Will absolutely be staying here again. My kids LOVED the spa bath and the quality and cleanliness of the rooms was beautiful. The woman at reception was lovely. 10/10 will be back!!!
We recently stayed in the park on an ensuite site. Heaps of room on the site and having the ensuite was great. Park is in a great location for accessing all areas of Geelong the region. Directly opposite the Barwon River for walking and bike riding. Park facilities were good and very tidy, the ensuite needed a bit of tidy up to clean up the mould around the shower base and loose vanity doors, bit all...
it was clean everywhere and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The signage and map very clear. The place is obviously being managed very well. They were running special activities for school holidays (face painting and balloon artists, pancake machine). Our kids loved this place. Despite the bad weather preventing us from going out, they were kept entertained in this park. The...

ease of parking . size of rooms.I was given a suite with new facilities.including a heated bidet —a first in my travels!Manager’s ready response to any needs- large umbrella lent for extent of rainy stay. rooms very quiet and soundproofed ( no noise from adjoining rooms). Great motel and good rates!
Convenient area. Good value for money.
However beware that reception may close earlier than stated. Was there at 6.30pm and there was a “out for 30mins sign” put out. Came back at 7.30pm after getting dinner and the reception was closed already (weekday official closing timing should be 8pm). Had to call (thankfully I got a travel SIM card that can call AUS numbers) the number on the reception room...
It was a last minute decision to go to Geelong. And I tell you we were not disappointed at all. What a lovely place to visit but the accommodation made all the more better to stay. We stayed for two nights in a lovely room. The service was excellent and you also get the luxury of a restaurant on the premises and room service if you so desire.
I highly recommend staying here if you want a simple place...
Perfect for our overnight stay. Clean and tidy. Car parks are a bit on the small side but I found that issue all over Geelong.
Reception were lovely, friendly and helpful.
Would definitely stay again.
We had a recent 3 night stay and everything was spick and span. The superior queen room was very spacious. There is a little traffic noise evident in front rooms as the motel is on McKillop St. Prices were very affordable.
My wife and I both loved the stay the staff and owners were very helpful and friendly. Close to everything and breakfast, dinner restaurant's were a dozen steps from our room door

Good size cabin for our group of 8. Comfortable and well set out.
We were warmly greeted by reception staff and given clear and concise instructions and a map of how to locate our cabin. The cabin was a good size for the two of us, all we could need for a nights stay. It was a little dated and the bathroom has the definite smell of mould however we noted from the information given that substantial renovations/updates of the cabins are underway therefore hopefully...
Great location. Did get a delayed check-in by 2 hrs but thankfully were offered a late check-out. Jumping pillow was a hit for our little fella. Good value for what we paid.
Great location and facilities. We have stayed in a few cabins in parks and we found this place very clean compared to most. The pool and playground were also very good
I don't get the bad reviews. Nice park with new amenities, our site had no power but we got moved to another, kids play area is good. Sure the park needs some updates but you get a detailed pamphlet detailing all the work they are doing. Sounds like the new owners are trying to update and clean up the old park they purchased. Will be great to visit again in the future once the updates are completed...

A little known secret of Geelong
A truly beautiful place to stay in Geelong with a tranquil outlook and beauty surrounding. The accessible room was great, with modern bathroom and access. Loved the complimentary snacks, drinks and continental breakfast. Definitely on our list to visit again!!
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights. We'd never stay anywhere else in Geelong now! There's so much to do inside the hotel (swimming pool/ snooker tables/ ping pong/ bar) we found it difficult leaving. The breakfast was yummy and the coffee really good for machine coffee. The whole place has just been renovated and the rooms are super chic, my boyfriend and I had the best time ;)
Very comfortable rooms. Exceptionally clean. Very friendly staff ; great Continental.
breakfast; complimentary snacks in the mini fridge; excellent location in the middle of the Botanical gardens . This place has a very relaxed feel to it. Great Oasis within walking

After 40 years in Geelong, i took my first visit to this property. Saw a write up when it was renovated a year or so ago and I was impressed. Fantastic use of different spaces to create different moments in the dining areas. Conference facilities look more than sufficient overlooking well designed landscapes. Coppards Rest
Geelong, 21 Coppards Road, Moolap, 3224 Geelong, Australia 🧭 Map
We found this accommodation to be excellent. Everything was lovely and very well equipped and very clean. The hens out the back were cute and Linda gave us some of their delicious eggs. The location was good for our needs and for the Bellarine Peninsula and also Geelong. Highly recommended.
Everything we needed, 3 guys in the area to play veterans cricket, so much better than a hotel and between us cheaper too.
Totally recommend.
Good location to go around Geelong. The place was clean and well kept. Linda was extremely helpful in the week's leading up to the stay and during.
Amazing host, nice clean home and had everything we needed. Highly recommended staying if you have children. My girls loved the chickens
This is our 4th stay at Coppards Rest. Rest being the key word. It’s close enough to everything to be within a short drive but also nestled away from any tourist hot spots that might cause crowds.
The house is brilliantly stocked with everything you could need and if it isn’t there, just ask Linda she will probably loan you something from the main house.

It was new and spacious for a family of 4, we were given two rooms and 4 beds with a very reasonable price. And Wi-fi speed is fast and the room looked new ( we were told the hotel was just renovated during Covid). And we had a la carte dinner there and the food is good and in big portion. And a very nice feature is that they provide barcode for us to order food from our room.
Fantastic staff in the Gaming room. Makes it a pleasure to come here. ??
Can't say it's cheap but for an all you can eat place the food is good.
We always enjoy our meal and the gaming room. When my husband was still with us we enjoyed staying in the motel. Thank you for your hospitality. ?
Not bad for the price but it's hit and miss. If they have a lot of bookings the food will be superior than if they're quiet. Also $100 for a family of four is pushing the envelope.

Fantastic place. Will be back again.
Our family used 2 cabins & a pwrd site. Amenities for pwrd sites have been upgraded and are lovely. Cabins were spotless and compact but enough room to move, very well laid out. Children’s play areas have also been upgraded, and a pool has been installed. Quite a bit of $$ has been spent on this park. In my opinion it’s the only one worth staying at. Very accommodating hosts who can’t do enough to...

The sea is just across the road. Every morning you can have your breakfast and at the same time watch the sunrise. However, the cost of the items is quite high, even the mineral water is not free. It is better to stock up your minbar with...
We had a really great time at Quality Hotel Bayside Geelong! They even think of the smallest things that help to make your stay so much more easier and pleasant. They had the TV Gudie from the Sunday Herald Sun for us, and they also had printed out a full colour Gudie to Foxtel for the week as well. I've never come across this kind of service before. The Black Salt Restaurant for breakfast can...
Avalon Airport was not as close as i thought it would be, everything decent to eat closes at 21 and it is 21:00.00 nothing later, the hotel has a restaurant but you need to reserve 🤔 It bit of a weird place to be honest, anyway rooms were big, small bathroom. Breakfast was ok just a loud radio with typical Australian chat or news, a bit disturbing to my taste.
I stayed here for 2 nights while working in Geelong for business, the room itself was extremely spacious and had everything you would need for your 'home away from home' The bathroom was amazing, shower was great! Nice and hot and great pressure. Internet was fast and easy to access using the password they supplied me with. I didn't use the restaurant, I did take advantage of the room service on the...

Best Western Geelong Motor Inn & Serviced Apartments
Geelong, 30 Keera Street, Geelong VIC 3220, Australia 🧭 Map
Geelong is a must-visit town on the Great Ocean Road and the starting point for boat trips to Tasmania. The Best Western brand is similar to Atour in China, with above-average service and facilities. Parking is free and ample, the hotel is in a good location, and the rooms are much larger than expected, with balconies.
The room is clean and tidy, and booking is convenient
The room facilities are too old. There is a smell of old furniture in the room. The hygiene is OK, but the hotel is too old.
The room is not as good as Home Inn, the location is OK. The hotel facilities are too simple. There is no small supermarket around. The door was opened by the waiter in the morning when the child was still sleeping. I said sorry and went out again. I guess most guests don't sleep until 11 o'clock. I will not stay here again. The hot water in the bathroom is very good, compared with most hotels, it...
Booked it seven years ago and felt good then. This time I changed the room and the experience was average. It was Australia Day and there was a party next door until 2am. It was very close to the railway and driveway and there was a building that was very noisy. The advantage is that it is close to the beach, the room is large, standard motel mode, and the price/performance ratio is good.
The room is spacious, clean, complete with microwave and iron.

Second time I've stayed here.
Wanted to have a spa room that wasn't a long way from the CBD of Geelong. It has a balcony from which to enjoy the view of the bay.
They don't have a restaurant so brekky has to be bought elsewhere but there is a great eatery just a few steps away which does all meals.
After a day of disasters, the lady at the Belmercer went above and beyond to help me for which I am very grateful. My room was spotless, other facilities were really good and the bed was as comfortable as my own.
The room and bathroom was clean. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
We stayed for 2 nights, the room was serviced each day with clean towels.
Would definitely stay again.
Nice clean room...huge bathroom.... could make better use of the space. Sofa in the room was very uncomfortable. Good location close to Uni and waterfront. The room was very clean on arrival and the service on day 2 was excellent and somewhat unexpected, being a public holiday so we hadn't made any effort to tidy the room of our personal belongings. Large clean room in a very convenient location
Position, convenience, affordable.
We chose Bay City for its convenience, it's off main road position - which made it quiet, and its price. All of those things were there. The unit was clean and comfortable. My only criticism would be how hard the bed is, made more so by the electric blanket which we never use anyway. I know you can't please everyone all the time.
Outside surrounds were rather unkempt Potted plants had seen better days and looked half dead. First impressions. Otherwise all good!!
Clean quiet well appointed .
Neat and tidy, clean rooms, easy walk to shopping center and foreshore.
Good location. Close to shops and waterfront. The grounds of the motel very unkempt.

Overall the property is divine
