What a great destination! The building is getting a little dated but the rooms are very comfortable. The beds are perfect. Rates and food and drink was as expected and a fair price. We will return

I had such a great experience at the Rydges Geelong Hotel. The staff are super friendly and the beds are very comfortable. I like the initiative where if you choose not to have your room attended for that day you get a $10 food and beverage voucher in exchange. I felt really cared for during my stay - I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is my third stay at Rydges Geelong for the Avatar course. It has always been smooth and pleasant arrival and departure. The staff are welcoming and accommodating. Good coffee available from the restaurant. The rooms are in great condition and the beds are the BEST! Seriously, every element of the bed is so comfortable; mattress, pillows, sheets, doona... We stayed one night for a rowing regatta and found the location to be perfect. Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel was close to restaurants, shops and the river. I used this Hotel to have a morning breakfast (I was not customer staying in the hotel) I was served by a friendly polite staff member on eneterance to the restaurant/breakfast area. The breakfast was $30 for full access to the breakfast buffet and This included hot meals contents, fruits, cereals and juices etc. Overall was happy with the content and breakfast provided. Service was fine, buffet breakfast good. Rooms fine, though slightly aging - bathrooms could use some tlc. Biggest issue is the air con wasn't on when I first got to the room, and it must have been over 40 degrees in there. Had to go out for a few hours until it had cooled down, when all I wanted to do was sleep after a hard day's work.

Great lunch spot as not too busy at lunchtime and the food is great. During the week the menu is limited but weekend lunchtime you have the choice from the whole menu. The Salmon was particularly good especially worth a try if your not normally inclined to order it. It was indian flavours! It was truly fantastic. Has been slipping for quite a while now. I've stayed here many times for business. I am looking for somewhere else to stay after the last visit. The rooms are hit and miss. Last stay had what looked like vomit on the front door. Asked for it to be cleaned but job was poor. unpainted and patched walls In the room looked bad, especially for the price. The two times before that the legs of the tables...

Good safe and clean spot for the price. It was right on the ocean too and I was able to go for a great morning jog along a bike path right on the ocean. I was there for business and would use it again for that reason. I wouldn’t call this a romantic vacation spot but if you’re passing through this is a great place for the price.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights. We'd never stay anywhere else in Geelong now! There's so much to do inside the hotel (swimming pool/ snooker tables/ ping pong/ bar) we found it difficult leaving. The breakfast was yummy and the coffee really good for machine coffee. The whole place has just been renovated and the rooms are super chic, my boyfriend and I had the best time ;)

Very comfortable rooms. Exceptionally clean. Very friendly staff ; great Continental. breakfast; complimentary snacks in the mini fridge; excellent location in the middle of the Botanical gardens . After 40 years in Geelong, i took my first visit to this property. Saw a write up when it was renovated a year or so ago and I was impressed. Fantastic use of different spaces to create different moments in the dining areas. Conference facilities look more than sufficient overlooking well designed landscapes. Look forward to visiting again and arranging a weekend away.

Kudos to the management that let a talented designer choose the fittings and furnishings and colour palette. Amazing architecture and it has been well respected. Very comfortable. Very clean. Loved the breakfast as a novelty. Gave up on the TV though, way too complicated. Also the pre-check in as I didn't have a licence and there was no alternative. Would happily recommend.

Very well kept park. Friendly staff clean amenities. So close to Shops 20mins to Beach. Indoor swimming pool. Would recommend this park 100per cent.

Rooms - Cabin was clean and spacious with own kitchenette. No heater in room but there is a heater in the lounge area. Service - There is no reception after hours but checking in was no fuss. I checked in afterhours and had to call sfaff to give a a code to access my cabin key. Location - short drive to CBD and other amenities.

Will absolutely be staying here again. My kids LOVED the spa bath and the quality and cleanliness of the rooms was beautiful. The woman at reception was lovely. 10/10 will be back!!!

We were warmly greeted by reception staff and given clear and concise instructions and a map of how to locate our cabin. The cabin was a good size for the two of us, all we could need for a nights stay. Great location. Did get a delayed check-in by 2 hrs but thankfully were offered a late check-out. Jumping pillow was a hit for our little fella. Good value for what we paid.

I don't get the bad reviews. Nice park with new amenities, our site had no power but we got moved to another, kids play area is good. Sure the park needs some updates but you get a detailed pamphlet detailing all the work they are doing. Sounds like the new owners are trying to update and clean up the old park they purchased. Will be great to visit again in the future once the updates are completed...

Staff were great, we stayed NYE so parking was chaos as expected. The room wasn't as nice as the photos. The air conditioning barely worked and was held over the door by MDF boards. The bathroom was probably clean but needed a good bleaching or re-grouting, taps leaked water from places they shouldn't. Bugs stuck to the walls and ceiling, grey lead pencil marks on the walls. Paint smears on the ceiling...

Great location. Owners and staff very friendly. Rooms very dated, small and parking canbe a problem. Stayed over the Xmas hols and prices were very high. In fairnes there are a few newer rooms that are much better. Could do with a cleanup.

The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was well stocked with coffee and tea making supplies. Located very close to the beach with great views. The lady at reception was very welcoming and helpful and recommended me some local places to eat.

For the price, this place is very good. Clean and tidy, decent sized room, friendly staff, 24 hour Kmart across the road. Minus a star as someone had however left a Big Mac in the microwave, which we left in there. Rumour has it that it’s still there ‘til this day.

Owner was very welcoming and gave us a lovely room with a spa. Much needed after a wedding. He made sure on arrival that I had enough towels and if I needed anything else to just give them a call. A decent place to stay with family. Rooms were well maintained and lilens were fresh. The outdoor pool is a good spot for the kids and is pretty well maintained as well.

I had been there a month ago for a weekend. Loved the hospitality. The staffs were pretty welcoming. The service was quite prompt and the best aspect was the value for money. The service and rooms justify the tariffs perfectly.

Second time I've stayed here. Wanted to have a spa room that wasn't a long way from the CBD of Geelong. It has a balcony from which to enjoy the view of the bay. They don't have a restaurant so brekky has to be bought elsewhere but there is a great eatery just a few steps away which does all meals.

After a day of disasters, the lady at the Belmercer went above and beyond to help me for which I am very grateful. My room was spotless, other facilities were really good and the bed was as comfortable as my own.

Convenient area. Good value for money. However beware that reception may close earlier than stated. Was there at 6.30pm and there was a “out for 30mins sign” put out. Came back at 7.30pm after getting dinner and the reception was closed already (weekday official closing timing should be 8pm). Had to call (thankfully I got a travel SIM card that can call AUS numbers) the number on the reception room...

It was a last minute decision to go to Geelong. And I tell you we were not disappointed at all. What a lovely place to visit but the accommodation made all the more better to stay. We had a recent 3 night stay and everything was spick and span. The superior queen room was very spacious. There is a little traffic noise evident in front rooms as the motel is on McKillop St. Prices were very affordable.

Extremely dated decor. No toilet paper instead they give you the paper that comes out of box in squares. Not worth $190 a night. Most I would pay I this place would be $90. Avoid until they spend some money on that place if you can.

Comfortable and clean room (on the small side) with everything you need for staying the night. Bed is firm but comfortable and room has free-wifi, a television, toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge, cups and all standard tea ingredients. Friendly staff and easy to find location.

We stayed here for a night and it was lovely, the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious, clean and a good price. The shared bathroom was nice as well, the only downside is that there's only 1 bathroom on the top floor, which is unfortunately in the same room as the shower. The manager was extremely helpful and accommodating, providing for an after-hours check-in with no trouble.

It was new and spacious for a family of 4, we were given two rooms and 4 beds with a very reasonable price. And Wi-fi speed is fast and the room looked new ( we were told the hotel was just renovated during Covid). And we had a la carte dinner there and the food is good and in big portion. And a very nice feature is that they provide barcode for us to order food from our room.

Not bad for the price but it's hit and miss. If they have a lot of bookings the food will be superior than if they're quiet. Also $100 for a family of four is pushing the envelope.

Stayed here last November, such a beautiful and adaptable house in a good location. Nice quiet street with enclosed and quite long backyard (with a few parking spots). From the reasonable price, to the friendly welcome from from the young man managing the office, to the comfort, quietness and cleanliness of my unit (no.11), nothing could be faulted. Breakfast availability limited to Continental only, but at least something, and pool closed. Didn’t impact on my overnight stay.

Fairly central location. Reasonably priced for an inner city holiday park. Discounted rates with G'day Parks Pass. Staff were curteous. Well grassed sites, plenty of trees, clean amenities. Sites were very close together and tight for manoeuvring in places. Nice hot shower. 15 -20 minute drive to the Spirit of Tasmania. Thankfully the levy protected the park from the recent flooding of the Barwon River...

Front office people friendly. Older amenities but clean. Hot showers with great water pressure. Nice campers kitchen though a bit far from our camp site. Cement and grassed site. Obviously a family park, great for kids with playgrounds and pool. Easy location to get to.

Definitely a nice place for RV, with powered sites, clean water, grey water and black water disposal. A big playground for the kids to play and even motor karts to rent. Toilet are spacious, however, the hot water doesn't seems to work. Hope this can be fixed. Laundry service with dryers for your needs.

The room was neat and tidy, the beds comfortable and quiet. Phil the Manager has done a very good job of turning this motel around and making it a good family-friendly option for those who may be budget-conscious.
