The room and bathroom are very spacious (the room was quiet - number 23). Once the room was warm the air con was not needed. The bed was so comfortable and made for a great night's sleep. You can almost see Salamanca Market from the front door.

We attended Customs House Hotel for an event with roughly 40 guests. Throughout the night none of the female guests were questioned when it came to the fact that they were drinking too much. However, not only did they remove a male guest from the venue for so-called drinking too much, when he had two drinks the entire night. They cut practically every male guest off requesting they drink water. Fast forward, myself and other male guests left due to the fact one of us was removed for no good legitimate reason. Our female partners stayed on at the event to continue enjoying their time with friends. They continued to drink and were not asked once over a 3 hour period to have water. This was the same for every female guest. They were also served well over their limit (I'm talking 14+ standard drinks). After walking out the door, one female passed out cold on the sidewalk, she continued to spew while the others were blind drunk and unable to provide adequate assistance. This venue seriously breached their Responsible Service of Alcohol. You should not host an event at this location and their service, management and stick figure security guard is to be considered unacceptable and attrocous. I hope to see this venue in court one day.

We are staying upstairs in the hotel and we’re told the meals were good at the hotel by the gent at the tourist info ℹ️
Tbh it’s a restaurant full of charming character, superb central location & nice alfresco area.
The staff were great, drinks choices were plentiful and the food was delicious. 🙏

Many trips to Tassie, walked past the place so many times. Needed some refreshments so sat down & had a few drinks with prawn & squid dishes matching anything we've had elsewhere. Pleasant, perfectly located, friendly.

We had a wonderful time at the restaurant. Visited for the weekend and was recommended this place. Beautiful ambience right near the wharf. The food was greatly enjoyed by everyone on our table. The wait staff were fantastic, especially Antonio who served us the lovely food, always with a smile. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Window didn’t lock or stay closed properly
Location is very central, east walking to everywhere.
Breakfast is lovely.
BIG WARNING: if you stay on a Saturday night there is a night club below playing heavy drum and bass until 4am, bring ear plugs (even then you will feel it reverberating)

Great location down in the harbour in an old colonial building. Lots of good eats around. Can be noisy on the lower floors when the person pub has a live band.

I had a great stay at the Customs House. Nice views of the harbor and good food. The restaurant had limited serving times for breakfast, lunch and dinner but food could be ordered from the bar as well. Tyler and the rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions or needs I may have had. Lots of parks and historical places are within walking distance from the hotel.

Beautiful venue in a amazing location , food very average , bland and boring seems to be lacking passion from the chefs. Boiled carrots & baby broccoli , with oil roasted potatoes , steak was okay , lucky it comes with a complimentary sauce because its needed.Wouldn't recommend to eat a steak here mabey try something else on the menu.

Had such a wonderful meal at this place that we came back again for dinner the next day. If it's not the best restaurant in Hobart it's damn close! Amazing food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere, makes this place a dining experience that must be undertaken when you visit Hobart
