My colleagues often chooses this place when they travel to Hobart. You need to select carefully - there is one part of motel, which is cheaper and a bit more run down if you choose mountain view side - that's the good one. location wise is good. will always come back here
Great views from the room. I also loved that the place had a sauna. Would recommend if you don’t mind being a few km out of the main city.
I recently stayed at Wrest Point and would definitely stay again! My room was a highlight—spotlessly clean, super comfortable bed, and a stunning view of the bay that made my stay extra special. I really enjoyed spending time at the Birdcage Bar. The cocktails were fantastic and the atmosphere was lively—highly recommend for a fun night out. Staff-wise, my experience was mixed: some team members...
I was given the wrong information by the hotel reception. I asked if it was possible to stay overnight at Hobart Airport, and was told yes — based on that, I didn’t book any accommodation in advance. Later, I double-checked and found out overnight stays are not allowed at the airport. Because of this, I had to make a last-minute hotel booking at a much higher cost. This caused unnecessary stress and...
Room is big with daily house keeping. Good sea view and place for a walk/jog. There are restaurants in the ******. Good and comfortable hotel.
Great location with Free parking for our car. Very professional and friendly front desk. Magnificent stunning view surrounding the ocean. Love the Rooftop restaurant up at level 17 which is the same building with our hotel room, so convenient. Fun to spend sometime in the ****** which is just in the ground floor of the hotel. Everything is within hands reach.

Really happy with the location! The view from our corner room was lovely and our room was huge!
The staff went out of their way to make sure our 97 year old Mother's birthday afternoon tea went off without a hitch. They helped with parking, changed our seating to a quiet area, and were helpful and super attentive. Highly recommended.
Absolutely brilliant location, central to everything in Hobart. However, the “city view” side is quite noisy due to the constant traffic which is a downside. Would recommend requesting/ booking a harbour view. Very welcoming staff and fast service. Room was nice with good selection of pillows to suit all.
Family of 4 stayed here for 2 night. Perfect location, rooms were lovely and large in size. Room service available and a restaurant down stairs. Parking available at a charge. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants. I was a little up in the air about staying here as it was so cheap and the website doesn’t show too much information. So glad we did though as it was value for money. Pool available...
We stayed at room 1221 over the weekend and it was absolutely lovely staying there. Location was close to everything. The view was amazing. Room was very good size for twin deluxe. Their shower gel and lotion smells amazing. The bathroom needed a bath mat i think to prevent slips for safety purposes.
Lovely hotel. Went to a conference. Large air-conditioned room with massive round tables. Had internet issues with some presentations and linking to people in other states. The breakfast is typical of a hotel buffet style. priced, a little over but not greatly. Shame they charge more for speciality coffee, was surprised by that.

We stayed for the first night of our honeymoon and they upgraded our room. It was beautiful and a massive room and bathroom.
The location and views were magic. So easy to get to and to access other attractions, such as all the great restaurants. Room was massive and very comfortable. The atmosphere of the public spaces is dramatic, yet sophisticated and comforting. All the good paradoxes! Staff are excellent, personable and professional.
Stunning hotel and amazing staff! Couldn’t be happier to have stayed here during our long weekend in Hobart. All the reception and service staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and our room was outstanding. I’m pretty sure it was the comfiest bed I have ever slept on.
Loved our stay at MACq 01! Great design that was also very comfortable, and we loved the “stories” for each room and other places around the hotel. The location is great, right by the water in downtown Hobart. The room had lots of great extras - the minibar is to die for! - and comfy robes are always a nice touch. We had a very nice meal at the restaurant. The best part was the staff, though. Everyone...
A must stay at place in Hobart. Great room, friendly service, such a cool and unique experience. Highly recommend their complimentary story telling tour of the hotel. The rooms all have a story and the hotel provides all the best comforts for your stay. Their bars are also a must visit

Excellent staff service. Very comfortable bed and room. Wonderful old world charm, beautifully restored 19th century hotel. Very, very good breakfast - hot or continental.
The Hotel has a long history of how Hobart was like in the late 1800s and its decor reflects that, very impressive. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, our room was excellent. Choice of dinning was good and happy hour is every day between 5 - 6, nice wines and beer. Highly recommend it.
The hotel is a lovely old establishment, one of the first in Hobart. We were very happy with the reception staff as they were very polite and helpful. Although the site shows pictures of the lovely dining and restaurant area don’t expect it to be open unless it’s the peak season, this was not specified on the site and we were disappointed we couldn’t dine there. Okay stay. Very noisy due to being an older building. One of the guys at front desk was super nice and helped make a nicer stay.

This is the best hotel i have ever used. The residential manager lady is so friendly and breakfast is really amazing. If you visit hobart, this is a must go place there.
The Islington was everything we desired as a honeymoon location. This is glorious heritage hotel with so much charm and elegance. Karen Anne, the hotel manager, was delightful, making us feel special from as soon as we got through the door. The room (the Signature Suite) was luxurious with beautiful art, a very comfortable bed, and relaxing large bath. The breakfast was excellent and kept us fueled...
The most impressive trip. The hotel is not big, but it is really beautiful. We booked a garden room. You can step into the garden by pushing open the glass door. The garden in autumn and winter has various colors, and the background is the white of the top of Wellington and the blue of the sky. It is so beautiful. We also saw a shy little kangaroo in the beautiful garden, which was interesting. All...
We had an amazing stay at islington as the beginning of our honeymoon. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Our room was very private and welcoming We had breakfast there twice and were very happy both times. Our room was large and furnished perfectly the bed and pillows were a dream.

Came to Tas again. When I booked before, I saw that many hotels were full, so I chose one blindly. Huge suite. Expected more toiletries than just shampoo, conditioner and soap. Only one bin in bathroom so I moved it out to lounge - for such a large room two bins would work better. These are just minor of course - bed was comfortable, shower great and kitchenette handy. So disappointed with the pool - sad, old, sparse furniture and pool had bird poo and bees in it so putting on the filter more often...
The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. The room was impeccably clean, well-designed
What an amazing place to stay. The Rydges' team were wonderful - very helpful and obliging. Food at the restaurant was fantastic. Our Manor King Room was very spacious and spotless. Heaps of on-site parking. Great location only a 20 min walk to the Hobart CBD.
Were on second floor of main hotel and there were no lifts so had to carry everything up the stairs. Room was very spacious but the shower drain was slow and the main shower would overflow due to this. Also, when the room was refreshed the tea bags were not replaced. Great position and quiet but just a few oddities.
Loved the history of the building! Situated in a convenient but quiet location, price is very decent for the quality, and staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The bed was so comfy it made it very difficult to get out haha - would definitely love to stay here again when in Tassie.
Wonderful staff! Comfortable and spacious room, lovely balance of heritage and modern features.

The welcome team were so attentive and helpful. The hotel was perfectly placed on the wharf close to bars and restaurants. The room was clean and spacious. And very comfy. It was a perfect night.
Very cozy and textured living gallery hotel, comfortable big bed, spacious and clean bathroom, sweet drinking water. The house and public areas are all fascinating works of art of different styles (I participated in the free guided tour at 4 pm and spent more than two hours to visit each floor by myself). The front desk enthusiastically helped to inquire about the attractions. Candy and chocolate were...
Henry is a hotel that was renovated from a jam factory in the last century. It is very historical and cultural and contains a lot of art works. It feels like being in an art gallery. Fortunately, it was upgraded to a more spacious room. The front desk staff is also very kind. Breakfast is also delicious.
Awesome hotel in a fantastic location! The Henry Jones Art Hotel is an excellent hotel well worth a visit. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was incredibly spacious.
Facilities: There is heating in winter, and the room was already heated when I checked in Environment: On the beach, the hotel is very artistic. I booked a loft, and they also thoughtfully prepared champagne and chocolates, which was very warm Hygiene: Very clean and tidy!
The hotel is located at the harbor, about 10 minutes' walk from the city center. There are many restaurants around where you can drink while enjoying the sea breeze. The hotel itself is a small museum The small bar downstairs is open until 89 o'clock, which is great

3rd time I have stayed over the last 12months great location rates include secure parking which is so convenient, easy walk to the Hobart waterfront would highly recommend
Difficult to sleep. Outside the window is carpark and road, boom gate is directly below apartment; can hear cars, boom gate and voices at all hours at night. Great Location Our stay was comfortable. Great locations, central the business district, piers and markets. the only think I can fault, was the bed was uncomfortable and the doona provided was thin
Great place to stay - very comfortable and convenient. I've stayed here several times- always good. Also, it's close to various dining options, the waterfront and ferries, and - of course - Salamanca Market on Saturdays. Best locale (and Im speaking as someone who used to live in Hobart for many years).Thoroughly recommended.
The location of the hotel is very good. Salamanca district is right outside the door, especially the Saturday market, which is very convenient. There is also free parking. Staying in a hotel in the bay, a loft-style suite, I woke up early and was amazed by the beautiful view. This business trip is worth it! The cafe not far away is not bad
The hotel location is very good, 5-minute walk to Salamanca Market, got nice seaview. The only thing I’d suggest for improvement is the hygiene part, the hotel staff needs to remove the sofa cushions and vaccum the sofa, a lot of food leftovers there like chips, nuts, etc.
Facilities: 👍 Hygiene: 👍 Environment: 👍 Service: 👍
Located at the harbor pier, it has its own parking space, which is very convenient. There are many restaurants around and the quality is not low. The Salamanca Market is also nearby, so food, accommodation and transportation are convenient.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with this hotel. Excellent location, comfortable beds and the softest towels. Plus the cheapest mini bar we have come across in Australia. The best place to stay to see Hobart and free parking right in the city. We would recommend to everyone.

Excellent location, parking at door. Meals available, quiet and well laid out for evening meal, breakfast is great. Rooms comfortable and clean, good bed.
Mostly positive experience but a couple of issues. The mattress was pretty old and saggy. The big problem was that 2 nights out of 3, the phone alarm went off. Once at midnight and once at 6am. The midnight one was accompanied by the clock radio alarm also going off. We told reception about the problem and the response we got was "hope you had a nice stay!" which is a little disappointing. Great room on the 7th floor. Double glazing is really good - we get a nice view over the roundabout without having loud traffic noise. Nicely appointed room.
