The rooms are spacious enough. The bathroom was great. The view was amazing over the Derwent river and surrounding areas. Easy check in and out. Easy access to the restaurants around the hotel. TV great channels. Only tea and coffee making facilities. Would be much better with microwaves in the rooms. Comfy, big spacious bed.

People will generally go somewhere because the venue has something to offer that others don't have. The Casino is one such place. What makes an enjoyable visit and make one keen to return or pass on positive feedback to others will be the staff. Unfortunately the staff lack providing its clientele that special experience. I did not feel that special experience so I will spend my money else where next...

The renovations look great, the atmosphere is good, makes the place stand out from what are used to look like, on the downside. Dress code is gone out the window, the only thing missing from some patrons where thongs and hi viz vests. At least in the casino part, maybe a little bit of a dress code

Our night out watching Aussie comedian Dave Hughes was lots of laughs —He’s so funny! Trendy atmosphere, everyone dressed up and having a good time. Place was packed. Our Drinks & snack food were delicious. Easy access with plenty of taxis waiting to take us home. Our First time!

The staff went out of their way to make sure our 97 year old Mother's birthday afternoon tea went off without a hitch. They helped with parking, changed our seating to a quiet area, and were helpful and super attentive. Highly recommended.

Absolutely brilliant location, central to everything in Hobart. However, the “city view” side is quite noisy due to the constant traffic which is a downside. Would recommend requesting/ booking a harbour view. Very welcoming staff and fast service. Room was nice with good selection of pillows to suit all.

We stayed at room 1221 over the weekend and it was absolutely lovely staying there. Location was close to everything. The view was amazing. Room was very good size for twin deluxe. Their shower gel and lotion smells amazing. The bathroom needed a bath mat i think to prevent slips for safety purposes.

Lovely hotel. Went to a conference. Large air-conditioned room with massive round tables. Had internet issues with some presentations and linking to people in other states. The breakfast is typical of a hotel buffet style. priced, a little over but not greatly. Shame they charge more for speciality coffee, was surprised by that.

Very friendly staff and a great location. My 2-year-old love the harbour view. I left a piece of clothing in the wardrobe and rang the reception, and the staff mailed it to me (Sydney) swiftly and I got it in just one day. Amazingly efficient!

This is a world class hotel with all the amenities you could want. Our room was enormous with great views of the harbour. The on-site spirits bar is also a highlight. Loved it.

A wonderful stay at The Henry Jones for work. From the moment I walked in, I felt looked after. The staff were accommodating and warm. The valet parking was quick to put the car away and to retrieve it. The building was interesting to walk around in. There is so much to see! The meals both in the room and the dining room were delicious. I can't wait to come back in July.

Really enjoyed our stay- a very generous Christmas gift awaited us in our room on arrival, so unexpected making us feel very much welcomed. This hotel is situated right on the harbour in Hobart. Walking distance from lots of restaurants and shops. Some rooms offering views into the harbour. I stayed in room 105 which was on level one. We chose Hadley’s Orient Hotel because of it’s old world charm and location. A beautiful hotel with wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful staff, plus it is only 10 minute walk to the Salamanca Markets. Our room was comfortable and well maintained. We enjoyed the ambience in the bar and a delicious meal at the restaurant, again the staff were wonderful.

What a timeless gem. The room was beautifully done up and very comfortable. The vibe of the whole place was fantastic. Staff happy to be there and overall could not speak highly enough about the venue. Comfort, quality service and location all 5 star!

Very nice and quiet stay. Top of Hotel which has strange windows behind columns, not a good view. Room was cosy and had 2 areas, bedroom and living area. Doors were oddly placed. Bed comfy. Room had a spa bath that took forever to reach half full. I suggest they rip it out and put a claw foot type in. Restaurant below very good food and service. Desk staff was nice.

Very good hotel. Clean rooms, excellent attitude from the staff. Like stepping back in time to a period hotel but with all of the mod cons. And quiet! Didn't hear traffic or other guests. The art gallery is very good too. We really enjoyed our stay and would go there again.

Great location, just a short stroll down to some of Hobart's best bars and restaurants. We have stayed here a few times now and have not been disappointed by the rooms or staff. The building itself is absolutely gorgeous and the views from the rooms of either the harbor or mountains (depending on your selection) are great.

Just up the hill from Salamanca Place, a restored mansion that offers modern accommodation and amenities. The venue has all the mod-cons, great staff with ample knowledge of the island. Worth a stay with that special someone.

I've stayed here a number of times with work and I always enjoy staying here. The building is historic and while it has a semi-modern feel, the richness is starting to show its age if you look hard at the details in the room accommodation. Beautiful property with amazingly furnished rooms, architecture and landscape. We originally booked to have dinner there but couldn’t make it as our flight arrived a few hours late. We emailed the hotel and they’re nice enough to prepare us a cheese platter in our rooms. Breakfast was magnificent, so is the space we dined in. The room service is great except they don't offer enough coffee, sugar and milk and you need to repeatedly ask at Reception. Parking is $15 per night (payable in advance) with no guarantee that you'll get a spot in the secure garage. No meals available other than breakfast - $20 if you book, $25 if you just walk in each morning.

Booked stay for my mum who is in her 80's. The staff took great care of her by listening and helping accordingly throughout the week. Mum often commented on the friendly staff, clean rooms and nice lobby. The location is perfect with the harbour and city at your doorstep. Very fortunate to have booked this hotel, real value for money. Many thanks to all staff again for taking great care of mum.

I was extremely happy with my stay here. Clean room, good view, great location, reasonable price, good breakfast at a reasonable price. I was really happy to have the microwave, kitchen sink and cutlery, plus cups and glasses, including wine glasses. I bought the makings of one meal at the little supermarket at Salamanca and was able to enjoy it in my room at my little table looking out at the view...

The rooms are clean the beds a comfortable,the staff are always willing to assist with any requests or issues. The only issue we encountered was the bathrooms are TINY and very awkward to use. They would be near impossible to use if you are a larger person.

We pre booked a large group on a road bike tour. We were at the end of our trip so exhausted and in need of good accommodation. Midcity certainly provided it. The staff were very helpful especially when it came to safely storing our bikes. They were also very helpful with getting us extra rooms at short notice. The hotel is very well located in the city.

Very friendly staff. Very convenient location. The kitchen is very a plus allowing to cook your on breakky if you wish. Just the vanity could be a bit bigger as there is plenty of room for it.

Disappointing to say the least, if you stay here, watch the pricing it could range from $300 a night to $180 a night for the same room depending whom you book through so investigate beforehand. I stayed here for a work stint for about 9 nights. Executive Studio was clean and room was made everyday. The kitchen was fully equipped. However because my room was facing Collins St and there was construction happening at 6am, we would often be woken up. The crossing the road signal also beeped lots in the very early morning. Overall, a lovely stay.

Hubby and I went here for our wedding anniversary a few years ago we lived it so much we went again on another anniversary and plan to go again. Lovely decorated rooms to suit the period of the house and gardens. I also got to meet a cute geniue pig out in the garden. Breakfast was also amazing.

Nina was an amazing host. With delicious home made bread offered for breakfast every morning, and on occasions homemade cupcakes. The house is beautifully furnished with lovely views and garden. The room was clean (Ellen Pearce Room) with tea and coffee in the room. The bathroom was a little small (but clean), but more than adequate for our stay. We will stay here again the next time we're in Hobart

The place is excellent and serves as a great base to see all of Hobart, Richmond, Port Arthur and Huon Valley. The hosts - David & Penelope - are exceptional. The cherry on the cake is definitely Penelope's gourmet breakfasts. Overall, a splendid experience.

Two bedroom self contained cabins with everything. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, air conditioner, electric bbq, full kitchen. Small gripe about the curtains. Light still gets in at sunrise meaning we were up early regardless. No ceiling fan in the bedroom so the air con ended up running all night.

Nice enough for an overnight stay. We had noisy people beside us which was annoying. Ensuites are very basic but fine. Staff were very friendly a little expensive but that's to be expected this time of year.

Lisa and i stayed here for a week. The food is amazing while the portions are very generous. The staff are polite yet friendly. The entire establishment is spotlessly clean, including the designated smoking areas. Only a short walk from everything and there are bus stops on the same street.

We eat regularly, on Wednesday night in particular. Very friendly staff, steaks $10 off on a Wed night. Specials on other nights. Our favourite pizza place too. Can order pizza to take away. Delicious, but we always need to take half home. Worth a try anytime, especially winter as there's always a welcoming fire.

The hotel is located close to everything that I wanted, on my visit. The staff are extremely friendly, the rooms and other facilities are clean and the food is excellent. There is plenty of more expensive accomodation in the area, but I chose this hotel, and I am very happy with what I experienced.

While very close to the highway and there is some traffic noise, it does quiet down throughout the evening. Only issue we had was the bed needed replacing otherwise all good and would consider staying again

Staff was very cooperative. Proper parking for each cabin is provided. Dual AC, electric kettle, hot plate, toaster, microwave, fridge, TV were provided. We checked in very late at night and checked out very early in morning but there was no problem at all. We just coordinated with staff prior to visit.
