Mantra Collins Hotel

Staff were amazing! So friendly and accommodating. Never seen anything like that before, even at 5 star hotels.
Managed to snag a room at late notice for the Australian Wooden Boat Festival. As luck would have it we got the top floor with a view out to the Derwent River and the docks. Located a block and a half from the docks it was a great location for the festival. Hobart being a compact city I found I could walk to all the city locations easily. The day we checked out my partner needed a place for a zoom...
My husband and I just recently stayed at the Mantra in Hobart for 1 week. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The location is great, walking distance to everything in the city. Our room was nice with a view of the mountains. We will definitely stay again when we visit Hobart.
Good quality comfortable rooms, well serviced. Parking is next door at Sultan multi story carpark. Take your ticket to reception for validation and reduced parking fee. Ignore carport full sign.
Fantastic location! We found the staff in all areas to be welcoming and efficient. Their professional attitude made our stay very enjoyable. Our room requests were met, and we appreciated the lovely view to Mount Wellington. The room was clean with a comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend this Hotel as a great base to explore Hobart.
A great place to say. I stayed for 2 weeks. Staff are very friendly and always greet you with a welcoming smile. The food was restaurant quality. My room was great with queen sized bed and spacious. Couldn't fault anything at all. Every time i come back from a days work my room was cleaned and like i just arrived looking fresh. I would definitely recommend to anyone and i would happily stay there again...

The room and bathroom are very spacious (the room was quiet - number 23). Once the room was warm the air con was not needed. The bed was so comfortable and made for a great night's sleep. You can almost see Salamanca Market from the front door.
We are staying upstairs in the hotel and we’re told the meals were good at the hotel by the gent at the tourist info ℹ️ Tbh it’s a restaurant full of charming character, superb central location & nice alfresco area. The staff were great, drinks choices were plentiful and the food was delicious. 🙏
Many trips to Tassie, walked past the place so many times. Needed some refreshments so sat down & had a few drinks with prawn & squid dishes matching anything we've had elsewhere. Pleasant, perfectly located, friendly. Highly recommend a visit
We had a wonderful time at the restaurant. Visited for the weekend and was recommended this place. Beautiful ambience right near the wharf. The food was greatly enjoyed by everyone on our table. The wait staff were fantastic, especially Antonio who served us the lovely food, always with a smile. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Rooms have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Maintenance required: Room 5 Bathroom - black mould on ceilings Window didn’t lock or stay closed properly Location is very central, east walking to everywhere. Breakfast is lovely. BIG WARNING: if you stay on a Saturday night there is a night club below playing heavy drum and bass until 4am, bring ear plugs (even then you will feel it reverberating
I had a great stay at the Customs House. Nice views of the harbor and good food. The restaurant had limited serving times for breakfast, lunch and dinner but food could be ordered from the bar as well. Tyler and the rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions or needs I may have had. Lots of parks and historical places are within walking distance from the hotel.

We stayed for the first night of our honeymoon and they upgraded our room. It was beautiful and a massive room and bathroom.
The location and views were magic. So easy to get to and to access other attractions, such as all the great restaurants. Room was massive and very comfortable. The atmosphere of the public spaces is dramatic, yet sophisticated and comforting. All the good paradoxes! Staff are excellent, personable and professional.
Stunning hotel and amazing staff! Couldn’t be happier to have stayed here during our long weekend in Hobart. All the reception and service staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and our room was outstanding. I’m pretty sure it was the comfiest bed I have ever slept on.
Loved our stay at MACq 01! Great design that was also very comfortable, and we loved the “stories” for each room and other places around the hotel. The location is great, right by the water in downtown Hobart. The room had lots of great extras - the minibar is to die for! - and comfy robes are always a nice touch. We had a very nice meal at the restaurant. The best part was the staff, though. Everyone...
A must stay at place in Hobart. Great room, friendly service, such a cool and unique experience. Highly recommend their complimentary story telling tour of the hotel. The rooms all have a story and the hotel provides all the best comforts for your stay. Their bars are also a must visit
This is a world class hotel with all the amenities you could want. Our room was enormous with great views of the harbour. The on-site spirits bar is also a highlight. Loved it.

Fantastic location, friendly staff and AMAZING art. The art tour was a highlight.
Stayed for several nights as a getaway from Brisbane. Had a great time and experience! The hotel room did not disappoint and was of great style. Kept true to its roots with modern upgrades. Everything was spot on and had a great time! It was a great location to walk around the city and get some really cool experiences!
A wonderful stay at The Henry Jones for work. From the moment I walked in, I felt looked after. The staff were accommodating and warm. The valet parking was quick to put the car away and to retrieve it. The building was interesting to walk around in. There is so much to see! The meals both in the room and the dining room were delicious. I can't wait to come back in July.
Great location, right by the harbour and super close to lots of restaurants and Salamanca. Excellent staff. Oh and the breakfast is delicious, especially the hot food selection. We were upgraded to a deluxe harbour view room by Callum, which was a lovely gesture. The hotel gym is great, and the wifi signal is very reliable throughout the hotel. In fact, the entire hotel is very nicely decorated and...
it is very central and a beautiful boutique place to stay.
Stylish hotel along the Hobart waterfront. Lots of artwork hanging on the walls. Our loft room was very nice. It had dual air con for the upper and lower sections. The automatic blinds were nice too. We appreciated the bottle of wine while we were there over New Year’s Eve. It was a perfect location to attend all the festivities at the waterfront. The staff was courteous and helpful. Beautiful boutique hotel with kind and friendly staff Nice cozy bedrooms with all the facilities and beautiful views. Marc took care of us very well
The Islington was recommended to us by friends and it certainly lived up to its reputation. A truly wonderful, first class experience, with professional, friendly staff and a spectacular location. Our suite was spacious and luxurious, with every convenience catered for. The little personal touches, like the evening bedtime tea and treats, were very appreciated. We particularly enjoyed the meld of old...
Our stay at this lovely and charming hotel was made exceptional by the attention that was given to us by Marc and his capable team. Being greeted by a relaxing cup of tea in the morning room after a long, busy day was just the perfect beginning to our stay. The food was amazing with the quality of the local Tassie produce shining through, and the views - be it from our room or the gorgeous conservatory...
Wonderful Service. Exquisite grounds. Well appointed room. Stayed in the garden suite, would definitely recommend. Had a very relaxing little getaway. Views of the mountain are exquisite. Hot breakfast included. Would absolutely stay here again
My husband and I held our small 28 person wedding here in January. We booked the whole hotel exclusively so majority of our guests could stay the whole weekend. We were all blown away by the exceptional service we received, not only on our wedding day, but for the whole weekend. The level of service here is so hard to find. Everyone was constantly greeted by name by the very friendly staff and asked...
Beautiful property with amazingly furnished rooms, architecture and landscape. We originally booked to have dinner there but couldn’t make it as our flight arrived a few hours late. We emailed the hotel and they’re nice enough to prepare us a cheese platter in our rooms. Breakfast was magnificent, so is the space we dined in. Can’t recommend Islington Hotel enough for your future stay at Hobart!

Really happy with the location! The view from our corner room was lovely and our room was huge!
The staff went out of their way to make sure our 97 year old Mother's birthday afternoon tea went off without a hitch. They helped with parking, changed our seating to a quiet area, and were helpful and super attentive. Highly recommended.
Absolutely brilliant location, central to everything in Hobart. However, the “city view” side is quite noisy due to the constant traffic which is a downside. Would recommend requesting/ booking a harbour view. Very welcoming staff and fast service. Room was nice with good selection of pillows to suit all.
Family of 4 stayed here for 2 night. Perfect location, rooms were lovely and large in size. Room service available and a restaurant down stairs. Parking available at a charge. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants. I was a little up in the air about staying here as it was so cheap and the website doesn’t show too much information. So glad we did though as it was value for money. Pool available...
We stayed at room 1221 over the weekend and it was absolutely lovely staying there. Location was close to everything. The view was amazing. Room was very good size for twin deluxe. Their shower gel and lotion smells amazing. The bathroom needed a bath mat i think to prevent slips for safety purposes.
Lovely hotel. Went to a conference. Large air-conditioned room with massive round tables. Had internet issues with some presentations and linking to people in other states. The breakfast is typical of a hotel buffet style. priced, a little over but not greatly. Shame they charge more for speciality coffee, was surprised by that.

Huge suite. Expected more toiletries than just shampoo, conditioner and soap. Only one bin in bathroom so I moved it out to lounge - for such a large room two bins would work better. These are just minor of course - bed was comfortable, shower great and kitchenette handy. So disappointed with the pool - sad, old, sparse furniture and pool had bird poo and bees in it so putting on the filter more often...
The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. The room was impeccably clean, well-designed
What an amazing place to stay. The Rydges' team were wonderful - very helpful and obliging. Food at the restaurant was fantastic. Our Manor King Room was very spacious and spotless. Heaps of on-site parking. Great location only a 20 min walk to the Hobart CBD.
Were on second floor of main hotel and there were no lifts so had to carry everything up the stairs. Room was very spacious but the shower drain was slow and the main shower would overflow due to this. Also, when the room was refreshed the tea bags were not replaced. Great position and quiet but just a few oddities.
Loved the history of the building! Situated in a convenient but quiet location, price is very decent for the quality, and staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The bed was so comfy it made it very difficult to get out haha - would definitely love to stay here again when in Tassie.
Wonderful staff! Comfortable and spacious room, lovely balance of heritage and modern features.

Christmas Dinner - Buffet style. Good selection of traditional favourites and light options for dessert. Enjoyable night.
What a great pub high up in West Hobart with breathtaking views over Hobart and the Derwent River. I go there regularly for lunch and the buffet is moderately priced with an incredible selection of entrees, mains and deserts and you can go back as many times as you like. A must go kind of place but it is advisable to book 👍👍👍
Location is wonderful as it is nearby the hobart city area. Very clean room and comfortable beds. Not too big but enough to be comfortable for 4 adults. There is a bistro that provides fabulous service!
had a buffet dinner here, I don't usually like buffet meals but this was the most delicious buffet I have ever been too. so many different varieties of food. food like chicken parmi (that you never normally get in a buffet meal). I can't praise it high enough. definitely recommend. 5 star all the way.
A very ordinary smorgasbord during Covid times. We looked at it and the offerings were fried foods, poor salads and limited desserts. We left.

Normal room-cleaning was good, but quite bad mold in the bathroom. No service once I checked in. No soap in the bathroom (or anywhere). Hand sanitiser is does not count. 20ml shower gel for a 7 day stay. Restaurant staff (downstairs) blatantly rude.
A good no-frills hotel. The manager was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and water pressure was solid. The hotel also felt safe and secure.
Hotel is located about 5 mins walk from most of the shops. It's relatively clean, but definitely a very budget hotel. No lifts, so you must be comfortable carrying your luggage up 1-2 floors yourself. The rooms have no insulation, so absolutely freezing unless you run the heater all night long. There's absolutely no sound proofing, so if you're there on a weekend, you can hear every person coming...
Budget small rooms in a great location. Very loud on Fri and sat nights
Second time we have stayed the owner is very helpful and the hotel is great for the money also in a great location

The rooms are spacious enough. The bathroom was great. The view was amazing over the Derwent river and surrounding areas. Easy check in and out. Easy access to the restaurants around the hotel. TV great channels. Only tea and coffee making facilities. Would be much better with microwaves in the rooms. Comfy, big spacious bed.
People will generally go somewhere because the venue has something to offer that others don't have. The Casino is one such place. What makes an enjoyable visit and make one keen to return or pass on positive feedback to others will be the staff. Unfortunately the staff lack providing its clientele that special experience. I did not feel that special experience so I will spend my money else where next...
The renovations look great, the atmosphere is good, makes the place stand out from what are used to look like, on the downside. Dress code is gone out the window, the only thing missing from some patrons where thongs and hi viz vests. At least in the casino part, maybe a little bit of a dress code
Our night out watching Aussie comedian Dave Hughes was lots of laughs —He’s so funny! Trendy atmosphere, everyone dressed up and having a good time. Place was packed. Our Drinks & snack food were delicious. Easy access with plenty of taxis waiting to take us home. Our First time!

Thanks Hadley Orient Hotel Staff. We had a great time, everybody was friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms are fantastic, great food and the bar staff are cool. Hope to stay again in the New Year and experience summer time in Hobart.
We chose Hadley’s Orient Hotel because of it’s old world charm and location. A beautiful hotel with wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful staff, plus it is only 10 minute walk to the Salamanca Markets. Our room was comfortable and well maintained. We enjoyed the ambience in the bar and a delicious meal at the restaurant, again the staff were wonderful.
What a timeless gem. The room was beautifully done up and very comfortable. The vibe of the whole place was fantastic. Staff happy to be there and overall could not speak highly enough about the venue. Comfort, quality service and location all 5 star!
Very nice and quiet stay. Top of Hotel which has strange windows behind columns, not a good view. Room was cosy and had 2 areas, bedroom and living area. Doors were oddly placed. Bed comfy. Room had a spa bath that took forever to reach half full. I suggest they rip it out and put a claw foot type in. Restaurant below very good food and service. Desk staff was nice.
Very good hotel. Clean rooms, excellent attitude from the staff. Like stepping back in time to a period hotel but with all of the mod cons. And quiet! Didn't hear traffic or other guests. The art gallery is very good too. We really enjoyed our stay and would go there again.

Excellent location, parking at door. Meals available, quiet and well laid out for evening meal, breakfast is great. Rooms comfortable and clean, good bed.
Mostly positive experience but a couple of issues. The mattress was pretty old and saggy. The big problem was that 2 nights out of 3, the phone alarm went off. Once at midnight and once at 6am. The midnight one was accompanied by the clock radio alarm also going off. We told reception about the problem and the response we got was "hope you had a nice stay!" which is a little disappointing. Great room on the 7th floor. Double glazing is really good - we get a nice view over the roundabout without having loud traffic noise. Nicely appointed room. Great location, just a short stroll down to some of Hobart's best bars and restaurants. We have stayed here a few times now and have not been disappointed by the rooms or staff. The building itself is absolutely gorgeous and the views from the rooms of either the harbor or mountains (depending on your selection) are great.
First time to stay here. Amazing hotel. Words cannot describe the ambiance of this old world hotel. Large rooms, clean and extremely well serviced. Friendly staff. Cannot find fault with Lenna of Hobart. Extremely close to Salamanca Place restaurants, market and waterfront. Will NEVER try a different hotel in the future when visiting Hobart.
Just up the hill from Salamanca Place, a restored mansion that offers modern accommodation and amenities. The venue has all the mod-cons, great staff with ample knowledge of the island. Worth a stay with that special someone.
I've stayed here a number of times with work and I always enjoy staying here. The building is historic and while it has a semi-modern feel, the richness is starting to show its age if you look hard at the details in the room accommodation. I went for the steak night on Wednesday. I was really excited for the steak. It was a bit confusing where to order for food and where to sit to eat as the pub is devided in two; front/back. When the steak arrived it looked really good but it was quite chewy. Wasn't as soft as medium rare I expected.
