Absolutely incredible hotel. The reception as well as food and beverage staff are second to none, everyone is so friendly and helpful. You’re right opposite the Cowboy’s League Club so if you’re into rugby you are in the perfect spot. The food at the hotel is also amazing, definitely recommend!!

1 bedroom is nice. Great staff. Breakfast buffet is great. Unfortunately after dark the area immediately in front of the hotel is a gathering place for homeless and leaving the hotel can almost guarantee you will be bothered for money. Otherwise it's in the middle of everything so that's nice.

A hotel reminiscent of late 1990,s in style, recently refurbished it has enabled the hotel to uphold its relevance. Rooms comfortable but not spectacular in big city sense. However this is a regional town and it’s purpose fit. Rooms clean, excellent location for downtown convenience

Great location, it's close to everything you will need. The room was lovely, the only con is no connection to anything in the bedroom TV. Staff were super helpful and answered questions as best as they could. The bar was disappointing as there weren't many options for cocktails. Buffet breakfast was good, options for everyone. I especially enjoyed the bacon and eggs. Just wish pancakes were an option...

it’s an excellent location and always a very nice stay

I rarely leave negative reviews but due to the lack of acknowledgement or resolve from management at Madison Plaza I have to say; We were given a Business Queen room with black mould in the air conditioning—an obvious health risk. With no comparable room available, we were downgraded but still charged the original rate and told we’d be charged a $25 room change fee, I had to argue my case to not pay...

First time in Townsville, I arrived at midnight an hour after my checkin time and was so happy to find the hotel reception still up and waiting for my arrival. The service was epic. I requested an extension for two days and was given without delay. I will recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great service and friendly staff any day.

Air con leaked, we got new room. Otherwise ok, little noisy at mornings.

The hotel is conveniently located. The facilities are not really bad.

We stayed for one night. Room was clean, shower was good, bed was alright. You get what you pay for

Very clean room and nice location..

Nice apartment, well-located. Spacious three-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment with full kitchen and 2 balconies with lovely views from each, at either end. Main bedroom had nice ensuite and king sized bed and other 2 bedrooms were a reasonable size too. After-hours check-in was quite easy, following the instructions to the lock-box. Only a few hundred metres walk to Palmer Street pubs, restaurants...

Very warm welcome, the staff is very kind and makes sure to give you the best possible service. Very clean room. Very good value for money.

This is the third time I've stayed here and everything about this place is fantastic. However, the office closes at 5 pm and customers have to call for check-in process after this time. Either the office hours should be till 7 pm or the staff should call the customers regarding their arrival time.

Booked a room for the night last minute and still managed to get a fantastic room for an affordable price! Great service from the staff and being so close to Palmer street and Flinders street was very convenient! I will definitely be staying again when the opportunity comes!

I stay here a lot and have always had great service. The staff are really friendly and the rooms are great. I won't stay anywhere else in Townsville.

Lovely place to stay, the staff were very efficient, welcoming and helpful. The downfall was the $250 security deposit that had to be paid along with the room fee and the fact that it will be sometime before it comes back to me. The room was beautiful and probably the cleanest I have ever stayed in. I would definitely recommend The Grand Hotel for your stay if you don't mind paying the security deposit

Booked into here by work, but would come here again. Staff very helpful, great to stay with kids in the 2 bedroom apartments. Heaps of restaurants right nearby

Nice enough. Great spot for eating out. Rooms are comfortable, and it's very quiet.
