The Ville has a great location and is modern and clean. Drink prices are too high and service is slow. In a recent stay, I could not get a coffee until the Casino opened as the QD was closed until 11am. The hotel was full of guests. Late night dining is also limited. Gluten Free options need improvement.

Lovely stay here. Pool was definitely the main feature, loved that it was salt water so you didn't get the stingy eyes. The pool was always clean. The pool and splash bar were really fun, even for our 3 year old. Enjoyed the Sunday session live music also. Buffet breakfast was excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and even helped us and other guests get to the airport when the taxi service was super slow - this was over and above expected. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed for several nights for a conference, including awards dinner. Conference venue was good with large rooms that were able to be split into 3 smaller rooms. The AV systems played up a few times and became a distraction, but were fixed quickly. Attentive and friendly staff. Rooms were standard hotel rooms and unfortunately didn't have much of a view from my room.

I went to the Ville Resort for brunch at 10:30am, specifically at the quarter deck. Unfortunately breakfast closed at 10am and lunch opens at 11am. Absolutely incredible hotel. The reception as well as food and beverage staff are second to none, everyone is so friendly and helpful. You’re right opposite the Cowboy’s League Club so if you’re into rugby you are in the perfect spot. The food at the hotel is also amazing, definitely recommend!!

1 bedroom is nice. Great staff. Breakfast buffet is great. Unfortunately after dark the area immediately in front of the hotel is a gathering place for homeless and leaving the hotel can almost guarantee you will be bothered for money. Otherwise it's in the middle of everything so that's nice.

A hotel reminiscent of late 1990,s in style, recently refurbished it has enabled the hotel to uphold its relevance. Rooms comfortable but not spectacular in big city sense. However this is a regional town and it’s purpose fit. Rooms clean, excellent location for downtown convenience

Great location, it's close to everything you will need. The room was lovely, the only con is no connection to anything in the bedroom TV. Staff were super helpful and answered questions as best as they could. The bar was disappointing as there weren't many options for cocktails. Buffet breakfast was good, options for everyone. Location close to restaurants and convenience store. Parking can be a bit of a pain to deal with. Staff were lovely and helpful. Beds were a bit soft and the balcony a bit small and pokey. Restaurant was great with a nice selection of wines and nice value for money steak. Garlic potatoes were fantastic. Buffet breakfast well worth the money.

Very good hotel for work trips. Staff go out of their way to help and provide a good buffet breakfast. Within walking distance to most parts of Townsville, one of the few hotels with 24 hour check in. Everything you need but no frills or extras.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. Staffs are very helpful. I would like to commend Riyana from housekeeping. She went beyond her job. I ordered food from door dash and asked to deliver in front of my room however the delivery guy left it at the reception. And Riyanah came to rescue to check and get the food for me. Thanks! We stayed for one night to go to a Cowboy's game. The whole town was very busy. A lot of rooms were not ready for check-in after 2pm. The hotel was fully booked the night before and the cleaners were trying to get the rooms cleaned. The reception staff were very apologetic and were doing their best under very difficult circumstances. There were several disgruntled customers who were not understanding...

Hotel is getting old and is seriously in need of refurbishment. Staff were lovely and it was clean but very run down. I suppose it is cheap so you can't expect too much but don't be fooled by the pictures on the website. Parking is $15 per night. There a lot of homeless people in the area. I'd advise you stay elsewhere.

This motel offers a variety of room choices, we chose a room on the ground floor with a bath tub and it was very nice. Good room, free wifi, friendly and very helpful staff. It's a good location outside of the city centre with short drives to many shops. Great for families and couples although if you're travelling with friends be aware the bathroom sink is an open area which is common in far north Queensland.

The Vale Hotel is a great suburban pub with a great feel about it. The bistro was clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely will be visiting again and more regularly.

Amazing service, food and venue! On the 1st my cousin and I stayed in the restaurant way past closing time and didn’t realise until the Manager politely let us know. He was so good about our lapse! The experience and dining was excellent also! Great food, affordable and enjoyable!

I didn't actually stay here however I booked a nights stay while my wife was in hospital. Until at 7.30pm I was told I could stay In the hospital with my wife. I then called the Vale and they could not have been more understanding and kind to allow me to cancel and receive a full refund. Definitely recommend just based on their service and understanding 👍🏼

Lovely lunch. Ordering has gone to that QR scan thing which I find painful as a coeliac, still have to talk to someone. But the ribs are GF so all good, nice size meals, quick to come out. Hubby not so impressed with the crumb steak. Good place for a quick bite

Great place to Stay- staff excellent. 👍 just a suggestion but as Reception is not open very late or early before 8.30am - only things to make it even better - Rooms need:- Hair dryers for Women staying, 2 biscuits, bowl for the Breakfast Cereal which is included please. Everyone enjoyed their pub meal and the children's play area was convenient for the 2 year old. The play area has an active a camera so you can watch them at all times while sitting at your table.

We decided to stay in Townsville after my hubby had eye surgery and my sister flew in from Adelaide. Called in and asked for 2 rooms beside each other on the ground floor. Nothing was a drama and they accommodated our request. Rooms were spacious and the bed was amazingly comfortable

Emma from front desk was absolutely brilliant. Such a friendly and professional person. We arrived quite late but she was able to accommodate us and left instructions on how to retrieve the room key and enter the rooms. Very happy with the clean and comfortable rooms.

The owners are beautiful people, we were well looked after. I had just been in an accident and the owner even offered us her car ! The rooms are large - heaps of space, modern, spotless, comfy beds. On-site restaurant has a good variety and the food is beautiful. I highly recommend staying here

The bad; dirty vinyl floors, tiny shower, old aging decor, yellowing white goods, poor quality or no internet reception, patchy phone reception and reception closes at 6pm The good; comfortable bed, nice view of magnetic Island, is a quiet location close to town, and was reasonably priced. Verdict would I stay again? No, it generally wasn't that nice.

Clean and comfortable with great views. We were only there one night, but no problems and staff were keen to help - they kindly facilitated an early check in for us. Motel is walking distance to cafes and restaurants, but it is uphill on the way back. Just to be aware of if you’re planning to walk around. A lovely find at a reasonable price.

Stayed a few months ago.Absolutely gorgeous place for a weary traveller to stay in Townsville. Beautifully presented rooms designed by someone who has a flair for interior decorating and design which was obvious as soon as you walked in the door, what a breath of fresh air. We stayed in the main accommodation and all I can say is wow. Very clean and exceptionally well priced. Absolutely everything you could need was catered for and is perfect for families to stay in.

This place was fantastic ! Every small detail had been thought of, it was like a home away from home. The cleanliness was exceptional, linen soft and a quiet atmosphere. This hotel might not look like much from the front, but the rooms have all been renovated and they are nicely decorated, clean and functional... with three different pillow types!! There are lots of nice little touches and the bathroom is modern and spacious. Tabitha, who met us at reception, was incredibly friendly and helpful. Also the street is nice and quiet and there is a washing line ourside...

Stayed her for 1 night. Good comfy bed. Nice staff. Good looking place. Clean Thin walls so you can hear a lot going on in the neighbouring rooms. Only 1 bathroom (that I'm aware off) that might get busy in busy times.

An amazing stay! The place was homely, Fran was very welcoming and kind and the beds were comfy. To top things off, the guest house is in a perfect location, around the corner from the city, the strand and castle hill!

Stayed in the 2 bedroom, 4 bed, self-contained flat for 2 weeks. It is quaint and comfortable. Fran is an absolute sweetheart and very helpful. Highly recommend if looking for somewhere affordable and in the city.

A quiet more relaxed hostel and gives you a breather from the "party hostels." Rooms are clean and tidy. Fran, the owner, is very helpful and always on hand if you need anything.

Just staid there for three nights, cozy place with all you need for a stay. I had a single room and this room contained a small tv and air conditioner. Washing / WIFI is for free. Fran is a friendly owner / host and nice to chat with, would stay there again.

If you are looking for a quiet hostel, this is the right place. I loved the fact that they are traditional beds and not bunk beds.

We had the privilege of having our own double room, still with the social kitchen and living spaces. A great hostel, with all the facilities you could need, very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean, AND a bath! :D Would definitely recommend.
