Our day trip to the SPA was very pleasant. The water was pleasantly warm, the pools and SPA facilities clean and well maintained.

Use the indoor swimming pool (heated to an insane 35° in the winter months!) and various saunas. They have a snack bar and bar just off the spa area where you can get refreshments during your stay. Towels provided free, with bath gown for 5 leva extra. The best spa facility in the area.

Overall feelings about Calista Spa Hotel are positive. Best things are variety of saunas, swimming pool with different jets, professional massage. Personal at Reception and Spa attentive and ready to help. Rooms are in reasonable conditions for such hotel. Maybe this hotel was "4 star" in another era, but I am unsure what qualifies it as such now. Though some parts look very nice, the facilities are quite dated and in need of some work. We had a great experience here! The whole staff is extremely polite and helpful. Good food, amazing variety of spa procedures, mostly the massages. We tried 3-4 types, all great. We would definitely like to visit again.

Calista is a great place if you are looking for a good, medium sized spa hotel to bring your family to. Rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. Room service is decent. Strange hotel. There are no hangers in the bathroom where you can hang your towels. The door has a gap and constantly knocks when there is a draft. I had to seal it with paper. The restaurant has been declared open but not open. And on top of that, private parties are organized for external clients. With loud music for no time. I wouldn't come here again a second time. Nor would I recommend it to anyone

Very good option to stay around Stara Zagora, especially if you are heading to Thassos, Grrece. The hotel is sorrounded by Pine trees, the rooms are big, clean and the parking is closed therefore feeling very safe. Definitely the price is very good. We loved how big the bathroom was, while the room itself was obviously made for one and narrower. We were right above the restaurant where the music was playing in the evening. Both she and the guests in the neighboring rooms could be heard loudly.

Clean, all facilities (AC, TV, private bath with shower, Wi-fi), friendly hosts. My room had a small balcony too, with a nice view of Stara Zagora. It's close to the bus station, so it's possible to go by bus to the centre for a glass of wine. There is a good restaurant near by. They have a beautiful garden with trees and flowers and a terrace where you can eat or drink a beer. Price is very good.

Only problem we've encountered there is no conditioner in the bathroom I don't know if i was supposed to ask for it but i think it's very wrong. Other than that everything else was perfect and the way you check in is very convenient for someone whose flight comes in late.

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance but at our last visit the food was not as good as before. Dry seafood mix. The compliment from the chef was a nice touch though.

The location of the hotel is perfect - in the center of the city. There is also a convenient parking for its guests, although it is not free. But the entire image of the hotel gives an impression that it is somehow empty - the main entrance looks like it lacks maintena nce and the room had a specific smell - like a place where no one has entered there for a long time.

I have stayed in this hotel twice. Both times the rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and towels were available. The hotel is located in the very center of Stara Zagora, walking distance to stores, activities, transportation, park, banks.

Rooms are somewhat dated. Plenty of closet space. No real view per se. Convenient to the pedestrian walkway and to museums. Nice lobby.

It was a nice place to be for a limited time, they were really nice and among the few who could speak English. The only issue was the internet. It was weak and sometimes turned off alot

The place was perfect for our stay. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. She helped us with everything we needed including parking, restaurants, work space and helped us arrange Covid Testing. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again.

On the way to Greece we decided to spend the night in Stara Zagora. I found this hotel wonderful, the staff are very friendly. The hotel also has a spa but I only used the pool at no extra cost, access was included in the room rate. Large room with air conditioning, large comfortable bed, clean. The city center is approximately 7 minutes' walk from the hotel. I made a great choice at this hotel

This is a very good hotel, from the moment I arrived to the moment I left the experience was perfect. The young, smiling receptionist did her job with the minimum of fuss. The room was just great and had a lovely terrace that used to sit on and watch the shallows flying around gathering materials to build their nests. The room was pretty dirty. The carpet had multiple stains. There were spider webs in the room and bathroom. Dust under the bed. Biscuits and seed shells on the carpet. I would give only 2 stars for the room's cleaneess.

The room with balcony, at least on the 5th floor, is not worth it. There's no view to be had. Otherwise, great service and location.

The service and rooms are very nice. They are quite clean and modern, but I expected a richer selection of TV channels. I had an issue with the hot water, but it was resolved immediately. The breakfast options are good and fresh, just a bit limited in variety. The location is excellent, right on the main street.

Staff was very polite and welcoming. The room was newly renovated, spacious but cosy and it had a very pleasant scent to it. Bathroom was new, clean and functional. Location is great. Overall, it is really good value for money and a great experience. I would definitely recommend it to both Bulgarian and foreign guests.

The place is quiet, thats what i found good, its also clean. But balcony is connected as one and its way too high you can bearly see anything.

It's more like a hotel than a hostel, I paid a 2bedroom and was all alone, with towels prepared on my bed. The stuff was really nice, just the kitchen is not really usable, you have a microwave, but no chance to cook Was really nice there for that price

Took the double room with a/c for 39leva. The lady at the reception speak very little English but had no issues communicating to us what she needs. Clean and nice room. Heater in the bathroom is great and the room looks like a college dormitory room. Two single beds on each side, closets for 2 separate people and 2 separate outlets on both side with one table in the middle.

This place is great! We were kindly welcomed and the rooms were very nice and comfortable! Many extras for this price: good TV, airconditioning, new furniture, great bathroom. We enjoyed our stay very much!Will come again! Deffinitely recommend this place!

What hotel City has going for it: the staff is very kind and supportive; the rooms were clean. What hotel City doesn't have going for it: there are a lot of small issues, that need fixing all over the hotel - leaky toilets, broken shower head holders, other bits and pieces; cleaning of the common areas seems non-existent - you go for breakfast and the restrooms in the restaurant are dirty, the bins...

Check-in and check-out were smooth and easy. Reception is nice but the hotel needs some major renovations. They obviously have mold issues and pipe problem. This is a great hotel, it is mid priced by Bulgarian standards, by in the lower range for foreigners. The hotel is easily accessible and with fast exit from the city. The rooms are clean and well prepare for the guests. There is no noise coming from outside in the room at night. There is coffee and croissant for breakfast and the restaurant works up to 23:00(11 pm) at night.

This an ordinary hotel. But you'll get a nice room (all the rooms are in different colors and beds) and a very good service. The hotel has a big restaurant which is suitable even for a wedding. It's located to the outskirts of the city so you'll have to use a taxi if you want to go out and party at night.
