Great place to stay. The room are really nice. The location is pretty quiet and very close to the center (2 min of walking from the fortification).

Staff/volunteers are wonderful and go above and beyond to make your stay a good experience. The hostel itself holds a relaxed and social environment, but seems to be in need of some further investment - there’s no fan/aircon/blinds in the rooms and only two showers and toilets available. There’s plenty of relaxation space outside and inside too.

Genuine and helpful staff and clean accomodation made for a great stay. Large seating area outdoors and next to kitchen as well as a cushioned area upstairs with charging ports to chill out on. My only issues were that the dorms don’t have blinds to block out the sun or a fan to circulate the air as it gets very hot in the summer nights. I rented a private room and it was very spacious, bright and nicely decorated. It has a cosy common room where you can relax and socialize, it is at a nice quiet spot away from the main roads and all the noise but still within walking distance from the center. Free parking on the street too. Just beware of cats😸

Very clean and calm place. I paid 20lev for a bed in a 10 beds room with dinner and breakfast (in beginning of June). Staff is really nice and helpful. Dinner wasn't really tasty but fair enough for the price I paid. I definately recommand this place.

A great stop for backpacker. Nice stuff, clean rooms, good food included in the price of your bed. A glass of Bulgarian beer and new people to know! Located at 3 minutes from the citadel gate, with great restaurants around. Also, do not forget to pet the cats :-)

Exceptional hostel. Rooms are clean and neat full of life with their decorations and artworks scattered all around. Very homie. Love the living room where you can stay, chit-chat with other guests and play some games if one so desires. The reception was warm and sweet, felt very welcome. Will deffinetly visit again!

Very comfortable room. We stayed one night and had a great sleep. Very comfy beds. Shared bathroom and toilet available and very clean. Kitchen 24hs open. The only problem was at night someone turned off the lights and was so dark, someone fell in the stairs. Great location and heating in the middle of the cold! Recomend!

Best place for backpackers in Veliko. Great location with a great view on the forteress. The house is so beautiful and the staff very professional and friendly. The facilities are cleans and confortable. It's the real bulgarian experience! With friendly people!

Lovely place! The location is great and our host, Radu, was wonderful. There's everything you need- an accessorised kitchen, a washing machine, two bathrooms+ showers that always had hot water (!!) My only note would be that the beds are a bit old but overall great experience :)

Staying at Zarin's and William's hostel was like staying home with friends. They are really nice guys, friendly and open. They helped me find the place to hitchhike in Veliko Tarnovo and gave me good advices. The hostel is very clean and quiet, and the view simply wonderful. I would give them more than five stars if I could.

Lovely and friendly staff! They have a nice terrace with a beautiful view over the cozy town, there you will have the brekkie... pancakes, melon, roasted bread with cheese, also you have yogurt and musli. As well the terrace is a great place to socialize and talk with fellow backpackers! 10 euros per night in a dorm is super cheap for such a great place! :)

We ate trout, meal was good, simple, but very good. Espresso, wine, limonade - perfect.

Good music (if you like jazz) I do, happily surprised at the food, good beer, will go again.

This is the fourth time we have stayed here. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the location is good as it is only a 10 minute walk into town

The location of the hotel was amazing and everyone from the staff was very nice and helpful. The room was spacious and had everything necessary to make my trip more than comfortable. When I come back to the city, I will definitely book again with Hotel Arena, as I had the best experience there! 10/10 recommend.

Great place to stay in the summer or when passing by. The breakfast was not so diverse but we went in autumn, off season.

35 euro per room per night is a good value for this 3 stared hotel. Parking is available for free. The parking is in the Arena stadium and it is safe. Food and snacks are served until 10:30 in the area with umbrellas just outside of the reception. Breakfast is good. Room are spacious and wifi is available. The location of the building is central, the rooms are big enough and very clean and the view is wonderful. The host was very hospitable and helpful. I highly recommend it.

You have everything you might need in the room, spacious bathroom as well as a balcony with a great view! I love this place! It's a gem:))

The guest house is very good, but it has't parking lot.

Lovely host, clean, great view from the balcony, you can see the whole valley and the fortress on the hill. Delicious bulgarian breakfast in the morning. Located near the historical center, which was under heavy renovation at the time of our visit. 5 stars from my point of view

This place is clean and fine. It's a bit out of the way and breakfast is disappointing, but it's a good value for the price.

Very clean. The pool was nice in the hot summer. The view from our balcony was stunning. The kitchen only offered breakfast. You should consider going out for lunch and dinner. As a compensation you get a discount in a nearby restaurant.

The location of the hotel is good, somewhere in the middle of the distance between the old center and the fortress. The room cleaning is done daily and the staff was kind. Unfortunately, the furniture is quite old and some of its elements are missing. They also lacked drapery and the sun was raging inside the room. The rooms on the upper floors did not offer anyone who knows what the skyline was, and...

Very nice and cozy hotel. The owners are very nice people. The room was well maintained and extremely clean. Breakfast was delicious and we were surprised that it was not buffet style. On departure we were given a magnet with a photo of the hotel - a small but nice gesture. We will be happy to visit the hotel again.

We were there 2 years ago. Things have changed in the opposite direction. There are no improvements. The mistress performs her duties under duress, without desire and any positive emotion. The room is beautiful, but without any view, except for some courtyard. Breakfast under any criticism. Services have become more expensive, but there is no value for money. Too bad for the hotel, which is empty even...

Very clean rooms, comfortable beds and nice personnel. Too bad they don't really speak English, but they are using Google Translate, which is creative, funny and helpful at the same time. Breakfast is quite frugal, with a fixed menu, but otherwise good.

Quiet and quiet place in Arbanassi with a fresh green garden and gazebo with a barbecue where you can relax or party. The rooms are clean and cozy, with all necessary for complete relaxation I recommend it to all!

One of the best places to stay in Veliko Tarnovo. Beautiful view over the whole city. The room was big and clean, so was the bathroom. Extremely friendly and helpful stuff. The hotel has its own parking spots directly in front of the entrance. We definitely will visit it again.

Great location between the fort and the city center, the place is clean, calm and there is a cute garden. The host was super nice to us!

The attitude of our hosts was far from nice. We felt like intruders. The room was big but nothing special.

Great for the price... I think... But- I have asthma, there's lot of dust here which kinda ruined a little my stay but I'd still rate it 3 stars, the pool is like small bowl filled with water bet nobody really swims in it. Not bad, just not good.

Note: this review applies to people able to speak in Bulgarian. Do not recommend for English only speakers. The location is relatively far from the city centre, but conveniently located within most of the tourist attractions. Rooms are fairly small and bathroom quite basic. The owner is a little gruff, but fairly helpful.

Very nice location, in the centre of the cit. I stayed with my family of 4 in a 4th floor room. The room was small but very clean, the beds very confortabile, the terrace view absolutly breathtaking. It is not a luxury hotel, but perfect for a few days stay. The host is a really nice man, very opend and friendly. They also have parking witch is a big plus believe me I enjoyed my stay there.

Perfect hotel if you are looking for a quiet place in the city centre! Amazing view from the balcony/windows where you can see the two Fortresses of the city. The owner is such a lovely person, he makes you feel welcome from the very first moment! Rooms and bathrooms were clean and we had functioning fridges and heaters. Recommended!! A great place to stay in Veliko Tarnovo. Amazing host, terific room, perfect services. When we arrived the aircon was on in our room which was a great touch after our long trip through 40 degrees Celsius temperatures. Fantastic view from the terace. Small pool available anytime.

Great place to stay. Very good staff. It is family owned and family is great and helfpful. Motorbike friendly place with possibility to park behind fence, even in garage, if free. Great place to stay in Târnovo, close to the old town, on a quiet street. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the view is nice.

It was an excellent apartment very large and comfortable. The receptionist was very kind and helpful.
