Courtyard by Marriott Halifax Downtown

My stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Halifax was an overall pleasant experience marked by commendable service and a couple of minor drawbacks.

The hotel’s service undoubtedly stands out. The staff’s friendliness and attentiveness were consistent throughout my stay, ensuring a comfortable and accommodating atmosphere.

However, the issue with parking deserves attention. The limited parking space or potential additional fees could pose a challenge, especially for guests with vehicles. It might be beneficial for prospective visitors to explore alternative parking options or inquire about deals specifically tailored to address this concern.

In terms of amenities and ambiance, the hotel offered a cozy and inviting environment, making it a suitable choice for both leisure and business travelers. The rooms were clean, well-appointed, and provided the comfort one would expect from the Marriott brand.

The central location of the hotel proved advantageous, allowing easy access to downtown attractions, restaurants, and entertainment options, adding convenience to the overall experience.

Despite the parking concern, the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Halifax delivers on its promise of quality service, comfortable accommodations, and a convenient location, making it a viable choice for travelers seeking a well-rounded stay.

Great place to stay, modern, exceptionally clean, terrace and zen gardens overlook the harbour, nice place to have morning coffee. Hotel is in downtown, close to everything.

The only downside is we didn’t have our own thermostat…well we did, it was just connected to the heating system of the hotel. It was quite warm in our room even though we turned the thermostat to cool. Also, our room window didn’t open but I saw that other rooms did.

Other than that, it was a great stay!! I would recommend!

Everything was just perfect in this hotel. Enjoyed the location. Staff at reception were courteous and accommodating. Room was clean. View was great. They let us do late checkout as they weren’t busy. Bistro served a mean grilled chicken sandwich. All in all, great stay.

Beds on the firm side but comfortable. Views great. Staff lovely, and I can't say enough about their grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup from the bistro. It's anything but basic, and worth it. I wish I could make them that amazing at home. The perfect luxury comfort food to ride out a flight delay and storm.

Staff were friendly, view from the room was nice. Very clean. Don't bother with the breakfast at The Bistro, very over priced and literally 3 things to choose from. I would much rather gone somewhere else for breakfast but we had already included it in the price of the room. Wouldn't do that again. Great location for waterfront access, restaurants and bars. If coming from Dartmouth take the ferry, short walk!
