One of the dirtiest places I’ve stayed in. There was a mouldy shower curtain in the bathroom which made the whole room stink. The floors in the room were dirty, and so were the walls and chairs in the room.
Thankfully the staff were friendly and changed the shower curtain and cleaned the room when I asked.
The furnishings are shabby, which is ok for the price, but the lack of cleanliness was disappointing.

Location was great for our hospital visit. Room was small ,but ok. The bathroom didn't have a fan for moisture control. Overall, our stay was fine. Breakfast was good. Pricewise, you get what you pay for.

The room was in the basement. Had I known I would not have booked here. This is a detail that should be made known during the booking process.
At first glance, the room seems quite nice, but there are some things that need to be attended to. First, there are gaps in the door, so light is coming in all night. The bed is made up very nicely, but unfortunately, the mattress is soft, lumpy, and uncomfortable.
The sink in the bathroom needs attention. The water runs out very slowly. Please clean the shower liner. The tub itself was clean, but it had a discoloured ring, making it appear dirty.
Terrible coffee maker. I filled it and ended up with water/coffee everywhere.
The breakfast was much better than I anticipated. There were lots of choices and the coffee was good. the dining area is pleasant.
Perfect location if you are going out and about in the downtown.

Pretty, older hotel in Halifax. Very nice rooms and bathroom with a sky shower- I loved it. The staff were welcoming and friendly and recommended A couple of good restaurants nearby which gave a discount as we were staying locally. Free street parking and a nice generous breakfast.

What a super spot for a weekend break in Halifax. Relatively quiet location (the road isn't busy at all) and quaint inside. Rooms are on the small side but had everything we needed, including good air-con and a tub to soak in. Breakfast was exactly as described with good coffee and tasty bagels. Staff are friendly and super-helpful. The location is perfect: a short stroll to shops, cinema, waterfront and all the downtown tourist attractions. Would stay here if I ever visit Halifax again.

Pricey for the type of breakfast they offer and also because they charge you extra for parking. Excellent location near the Citadel and downtown though. 24 hours concierge service available.

Great quiet location for visiting Dal or loved ones at the hospital's, and enjoying a few days in Halifax. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The breakfast is good although no hot food items; still a great selection of cold cereals, oatmeal pouches, coffee, yogurt, juice, bagels, toast, muffins and pastries.

Friendly staff. Our flight arrived late resulting in a near midnight arrival at this small family hotel but they stayed open especially for us. Continental breakfast included. Clean place. Great location. My only complained is that the bed was short. I'm only 6 ft. And my feet were hanging well over the bed

We had a wonderful time here. Location was great, just a short walk downhill to the waterfront. Love the entrance and breakfast room.
