Expect the hotel will show a bit a wear - it was built in 1832! It's always a struggle to maintain very old buildings but it is evident management is diligent keeping amenities functional and the hotel clean and maintained...

Charming, but over priced for a cold old house. You can't adjust the room. temperature yourself, and it's too cold for making love. The AC causes a constant draft as you sleep. Lots of blankets on the bedding help, but we woke up sore despite the pillow top cover. It's also bright at night because of all the lighting outside the window. Friendly staff, but we wouldn't return.

We had amazing experience at the hotel. From the time you enter the hotel you know that you will be well treated. From the folks at the reception to the hotel to the shuttle drivers all of them were friendly, well informed and courteous. Shuttle service made it very easy to move around in the area. Half of the staff is excellent, friendly and helpful. A few rude staff. Your guests will be confused on where to go, the place is huge and there's very little directional signs. We stayed at the family suite. It was so cosy and comfortable. So many books to checkout and the artsy vibe of the suite was very superb indeed. The host was warm and inviting. Can't beat the location downtown. Older inn, but has all you need. We didn't know it was affiliated with the larger Prince if Wales inn next door which had a pool. So we weren't prepared for a swim. I recommend it.

Inn has been freshened but retains its quaint feel. Not fancy; comfortable and perfect location with kind staff. We opted out of the breakfast option (Prince if Wales is where to go) as the brunch that day was tasteless. Stagecoach is where we went for breakfast instead.

This was a great two night stay for me and my fiancee. Carolyn and John were so welcoming and sweet. The breakfast was more then we could have asked for...Was great to bounce off Winery selections on them and they mentioned some amazing wineries and restaurants. A very nice B&B in a great location within walking distance of downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake. Since we were the only guests at the time, we were upgraded to a premium room at no extra charge. This is definitely our go-to place to stay when visiting the Shaw Festival. We've stayed here before, and we'll stay here again!
