We took just a light breakfast as we had early morning travels and there was a terrible snow storm that we had to endure. Staff was great in getting us updates on the storm and possible road closures. We had dinner at Casey's and enjoyed the meal also.
If you’re Looking for a place to stay pet friendly, this is a great choice. Rooms came with dog food and water bowl available which was considerate. A pool two hot tubs and a sauna is pretty nice addition. No complementary breakfast and tv is where it lost points. Basic cable with no movie options and paid breakfast, idk the last time I stayed somewhere with paid breakfast. All said and done, comfortable...
We love staying here as a family because the pool and hot tubs are phenomenal!!! But we found out during our last visit to the soo that they also have pet friendly rooms!!! 10/10 would recommend! The floors are hardwood and they even give you a place for your dog to eat and drink!!
Great hotel. The outdoor hot tub was a blessing after 10 hours at the local ski hill. Live entertainment was cool. Casey's restaurant was good.
Reason why I gave it a 3 outta 5 is when I check in, the girl that was working there in the evening wasn’t friendly. My kids was saying hi and all she did was gave them a smirk. After I told her I was paying everything in cash including my deposit her attitude change toward me and my family. Room was nice and bed was comfy but there was no garbage bag in the garbage bin. Love the food it was amazing...
It's ok, easy to get lost. Rooms were smaller then the other hotels but this hotel has a company rate for us. Bathroom is small compared to others but they do have a pool/hottub/gym/sauna. The gym has some decent equipment and weights. This is the only hotel I've been to without a bible, so make sure to.bring.your own.

The location was great! Walking distance to many museums, food options, and a great tour of the locks. The people and facility are top notch. Highly recommended.
Fine experience rooms as many others have said need some attention to detail to make the dated furniture and decore look less shabby. Will be a stellar place once they start a renovation process (seems long over due I couldn't tell you the last time I saw a bed skirt in a room but they have them). Stayed with a coupon got a shabby room... bathroom door had a hanger rammed into a hole in lieu of a...
Tops In Town One of the most mentionable areas of our stay was the competent and professional staff. They all appear to be well trained and provided service with class. I don't know what other properties are available in Thunder Bay but would certainly stay here again and recommend it to all looking for a first class experience.
The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a great view of the river. Loved the river walk. Would definitely stay here again!!
Amazing hotel, the kind of quality you'd expect coming up this north! Lobby is beautiful and staff friendly, there is a Starbucks in the front, and a restaurant with a patio in the back. The rooms are amazing, beds are very comfortable, the TV has good channels (most of them) and the washrooms are also nice. Depending where you are, you can get a view of the river! Would definatly come back (if not...
Stayed with family in a double queen room. Had a beautiful view of the sunrise over the lake. The restaurant had good variety, even some vegan options. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Couldn't give 5 stars as it was pricey for a basic room.

This hotel is very accommodating. I had no snow brush in my rental car, the hotel let me borrow one all week. The service was amazing, always attentive to any request and called within 30 minutes of checking in to see if I needed anything for my room. Always nice and clean ,,pool is a decent temp, hot tub down since Aug.?? come on Marriott,! breakfast is nice, good location.its winter so keep the pool warm!
Got into Sault Ste Marie late in the evening and needed a place to stay. I spoke with Skyra who was very professional, polite, and helped me find a room for a rate that fit within my budget. The lobby is very well maintained, there was water and coffee available when we arrived. The process of registering was seamless and quick which was very much appreciated. Wifi is included with your stay and connecting...
Very positive staff. The hotel looks modern, clean and well maintained. Free breakfast, great location. They also give discounts. I would gladly stay again.
Front desk staff are great! Good parking. Lots of good food options walkable. LCBO Boston Pizza Fratellis Pizza. Wacky Wings and more all walkable
Nice rooms; current remodeling involved changing carpet and wall paper. One of the few hotels that serves hot oatmeal. Good parking. Right beside a Boston Pizza.

Very clean and comfortable. Really good breakfast and very friendly staff! Walking distance to restaurants and amenities.
Stayed here for out of town work, it’s very clean rooms are great staff is very friendly, as for the continental breakfast it’s an actual breakfast the day I went, bacon and eggs toast coffee cereal waffles bagels several different juices I was shocked on how good it was.. definitely a place I would recommend
Pros: clean, very safe (cameras inside and cctv on parking in front), good location passing through Soo, bed is comfy, breakfast included. Cons: rooms are small, little space for big suitcases, smell of bacon and waffles wakes you up early morning (probably share same vent and smell goes to the rooms). Overall worth the money, would stay again.
We came here on a walk in, hockey tournament was also happening, the area is quite busy. The rate is decent and the room is very clean and nice. The bed is very comfortable and the parking is big. The area is also very safe and just by the highway. The staff are also very polite and friendly. The breakfast was included, its basic, the usual continental, enough to fuel us up in the morning. Highly recommended...
Great hotel! Our room was very nice! It was clean, comfortable with a microwave and a fridge and breakfast included. Staff were extremely helpful. Our stay far exceeded our expectations!

The rooms are clean, beds are nice and comfortable, tv channel options are okay as well. Definitely make sure to ask if there’s hockey games in town, as if you’re trying to enjoy the pool or relax you will not be able to do so. During my time in the pool, multiple children were jumping directly over my head, splashing and kicking water towards us. Kids overran hot top so we weren’t able to enjoy that...
Very nice hotel and decent staff. When I checked in, I noticed that the staff warned everyone to take valuables out of their cars as there had been break ins. I figured that I didn't have much to worry about since I was parked very near the lobby door. Once the sun went down I saw why they had a problem as they had absolutely no lighting their parking lot making all the cars an easy target for theives...
Our stay in this hotel was just amazing, Our room was spacious and clean, the front desk staff and cleaning ladies were fantastic and the breakfast spread was just amazing with many options to choose . The breakfast worth every penny. I stayed twice at this amazing hotel and both times I was super happy with the experience my family and I had. Definitely staying here again and again . Well done 👍🏻
Great service. Clean. First time that we went that the hot tub was close. Pool water was a bit on the cold side. Kids favorite place to spent the night
I recently stayed at the holiday inn floor 4 nights on a work related trip. I found the hotel to be ready for a possible upgrade. Staff, location and room was perfect for visiting with family. Breakfast could have more options like waffle iron and boled eggs
The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff was amazing. The free breakfast left a bit to be desired though. My grand daughter loved the fresh muffins every morning but, for me, the carton eggs and the sausages were not great. Bacon would have been a pleasant change
This place was perfect for our one night stop over. The room was a standard size and it was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The complimentary breakfast was good and plentiful for us but if you are fussy about having your eggs over easy and someone topping your coffee up every 10 minutes you may want to pay more somewhere else. (I topped my coffee up every 5 minutes because it was good...
250$ deposit for 2 nights seems steep for a place with rooms stuck in 2014. Maybe 150 would be more reasonable. Free breakfast, pool and staff were amazing, they dont decide the deposit, owners do. Front desk management was stellar, and easy to work with as i had payment issues. Rooms are very clean, and de-ordozied, to the point the smell as clean as a hospital.. Comfort in cleanliness. Room was clean (a little dated but fully functional). Bathrooms were clean. Front staff super friendly. Breakfast was lacking tho - after 3 hotels in a row, this was the least impressive. No muffins, waffles, pancakes or oatmeal and only one kind of juice - enough to get you on the road but we’ve had better. Meal area clean and food well stocked.
These rooms are nice and clean and have a great view from the higher floors out of beautiful bay windows. There are jacuzzi tubs big enough for two in some of the rooms and the upgrades done to the bathrooms in particular are very nice.

Great place to stay. Location could not be better and if clean is your thing they are one of the best. Checked in fast and efficient.
I though this hotel was pretty good, the room was clean and spacious. In the morning the hotel had a small selection of breakfast foods ( On my visit I chose an omelet, bacon, hashbrowns and a fruit filled pastry ). The front desk staff was friendly and answered my questions. I would stay here again.
Excellent staff, room was meh. We checked in at almost midnight as we were running very late but the lady at the desk was upbeat, friendly and extremely helpful. The beds were clean and comfortable but the washroom could have used a little more TLC.
I stayed here when in SAULT STE Marie for a family emergency. The rooms have been remodelled and are clean and comfortable. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as could be during our time there. It is close to all amenities with lots of parking. I have never stayed in a hotel with a more comfortable bed. It was actually better than my bed at home. Thank you to all the amazing staff...
Awesome staff, rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast and coffee is amazing. They were all very good with our dogs.
Super friendly and attentive front desk and breakfast staff! We appreciated that they had pet friendly rooms that were clearly labeled! The breakfast was really good and there were so many options!

We stayed a few days ago, and Ravi at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. His kindness made us feel very welcome. Thanks, Ravi, for making our stay.... also, great continental breakfast.
Staff is great over here. Very friendly, they go beyond expectations.. Soo Blaster Sports Bar inside the hotel, has great staff, great attitudes, Lori and Kumar are great at what they do. Make you feel like Family! Concerts, gaming, pool tables, and cold drinks!. Food is excellent and the cooks are great! Thanks so much for everything during my stay. Blair
Front clerk was helpful, and the staff on the floor where also helpful, but that is where it stops. First the website is very deceiving as to what it looks like, and the door is in a really weird spot. I thought we had the wrong place. Second I had to sign a paper saying no smoking. We stayed here for 2 nights this past weekend. The staff are wonderful. Very helpful. It was a quick and easy check in and out. The rooms were a decent size. Very comfortable and clean. Absolutely amazing experience!!! Rooms were massive, beds were very comfortable and had all the amenities needed. Staff was great and super helpful! The breakfast was delicious with a lot of options. Super happy with our stay here; would absolutely recommend to others if they are stopping over here.
The rooms were great, clean and roomy. Bathroom was a bit small, but you don't stay in there. Guest service was about the best ever. We made an error in judgment, checked out to find somewhere a but further away to see more of Canada. Didn't like the town after all. Called the hotel, asked if we could possibly get our room back. They accommodated us wonderfully.
I love this hotel, been staying there for many years, right back to the days when it was the Ramada Inn. They keep it up to date. Breakfast is great, and plentiful compared to a lot of free breakfasts I have had at other hotels. Staff are helpful and friendly. My only reason for the 4/5 stars is they do not offer any Level 2 EV chargers. In the current change to EV and the low cost to add Level 2 chargers...
Awesome place. When the restaurant was fully booked, they brought me wine in the lobby. Restaurant was great and rooms were nice and tidy and modern. No accessible HDMI on the TV, though. So I used my notebook to watch stuff instead.
First time staying at this hotel, but defintely won't be the last! We are in town at least a few times a year to visit family. The pool is a medium sized saltwater pool, and is surprisingly warm. Super easy to locate and find. Staff are extremely friendly, and our room was really clean. Wifi here is strong, and we were able to see our vehicles from our room. Bed is super comfortable.
Pleasantly surprised! Very clean rooms and common areas. Rooms were bright and lots of room, very clean! The staff were extremely nice and quite helpful. Breakfast was included and nice variety. It's right beside the highway and easy to get back on the road again. Lots of dinner choices and gas stations nearby. Pet friendly too. Would definitely stay here again!
The room was clean and very spacious for the price. There was enough room for a Queen sized bed, a love seat and two desks. Cable TV much better than other budget motels with HD and all sports channels. Good breakfast options. Nice to be able to open the windows in my room. Because the property has many trees, I never had to run the A/C once during my stay.
Great room for the price. Room was very clean and small pets allowed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
Lovely hotel. Located right on the 11. Rooms are large, quiet and clean. Newly renovated. Great place to rest for the night or explore the city. Two issues. First was the dog fee is way too much. It's $20 a night a dog. Second was that they charge an extra $6 for an first floor accessible room, which is not fair considering we did not have a choice to move to the main floor and if you require being...

I LOVED the little cabin and the fact that I got to park my car directly next to my door. It made it SOOOO much easier (as a single woman traveling with her dog). Truly lovely (a bit outdated - carpet, drapes, etc. but perfectly fine for the money). Thanks!
Stayed in one of the log Bunkies. As the cabins were all booked. There was no heat, but there was electrical. So we brought a small space heater with us. Worked well to keep us warm. Very cozy. Update. Came through town again, this time for new years. Rented a cabin with a fire place. Was very clean, and very cozy. Enjoyed it. Amazing spot to stop for a ski trip.
This is great place located on Hwy 17. Cabin is also great. Customer service is also great. However, the cabin was not clean. Non of the sinks and bath tub drains were cleaned. Toilet seat was not clean. I had to clean them before I use. I also found condom cover under the bed. It seems like they haven't clean the cabin at all. If you can clean the cabin yourself, then, it's a great place to stay
I must say- this place is a hidden GEM. True Value. The actual cottages themselves are wonderful- furnished & fully equipped, with every possible necessity you could imagine. The staff are incredible. Not only friendly & accommodating- but go above and beyond to diligently maintain the property and cottages. Thank you
Cute little cottages but lacking some simple items. The bedding is old and could be refreshed; there were some stains on the comforter as well as sheets. More than one towel and face cloth would be nice to have as well as tea towels and cloths. Cleaning supplies would also be nice as there is no daily cleaning service that comes during your stay.
Stayed 2 nights and then moved to an overprice motel...spent the next 2 days wishing we were back in our super roomy cottage. Easy access, within a short drive to Sault Ste Marie. Clean comfortable beds. Warm. Appliances in working order. Highly recommend.. I will definitely pick this every time I am in the area

New owner Paul is very friendly and honest. Doing tons of renovations. Affordable rates and great centralized location. This place had a bad wrap with the previous owners not really doing anything. Now with the new owner and all his hard work, this is bound to be one of the best places to stay in the Sault.

Really neat old building, and very good location. Room was nice and modern, had good TV and the shower was nice. Price was very reasonable. Only downside was the owner yelling at us and threatening to call the police at 10PM because the people across the hall were smoking and we got falsely accused. Kind of exciting though. This motel was a gem! Reasonably priced and very clean. While it is clear it is an older building there are new fixtures and decor. An added bonus - it is pet friendly! Stayed twice recently. Rooms very clean and in good order. Family that runs it are quite nice. Portions at the chip kiosk are rather generous. Parking spaces are wide. Nice places to sit, front and back of the units. The pool is well appointed and was so refreshing after a long drive. The park-like setting out back adds tranquility.
We always stop here on our way up to the wilderness. Can't beat the clean rooms, convenient to local area needs in our pit stop, friendly owners and staff, and the added bonus of a pool& sauna and the Ambassador Fry Shack. The Lady at the front desk was awesome. A little customer service goes a long way and this lady has nailed it! The room was pretty good. Clean, bed was relatively comfortable. Only downfall was that the rooms dont have much sound proofing so could hear the people next door. Overall, I cant complain. I'd definitely go back in the future.
Great people, spotless rooms. Check this...we stopped due to a serious snowstorm on our way home to Toronto. 3-4 feet of snow. The next morning, they had shoveled a path to the doors of our car so we could access it. Seriously thoughtful gesture that was not an easy task. Some cars were completely buried under the snow. overall great profs, small size classes and had a a good experience as a student. As an Alumni of Algoma university, I will like to know of some suggestions, where I can feel some inclusion as an Algoma Alumni.
University education with small class sizes, approachable professors, and research opportunities. The science program is great and always expanding. Quiet, safe, comfortable campus -- Why go anywhere else?
The university is a great place to work out. A ton Of equipment, interesting classes (Kendo, Tae Kwon do, kettlebells), and afterwards you can hit up the Speakeasy pub.
Good university. You can get a very nice one on one experience with your professors. I personally know almost all of mine on a first name basis, and they all know me. Residence rooms are very high quality. A lot better than one would expect for a place if this size.

So I'm not really sure what's going on with these other reviews saying this place is bad. Maybe they expect a 5 star service or something lol but idk. Basically, this place has everything you need. It has hot water, heat, a cozy bed, no smell at all, private access and super easy parking too. I have definitely noted this down as a motel I will stay in if I ever have to stop in Sault Ste. Marie ever...
We needed last minute accommodations for us and our dog and Skyline was the only option. We were worried about cleanliness with the reviews but frankly the experience was totally fine. Of course could have been cleaner but for the price, it did the trick. If you’re in a pinch, I’d recommend Skyline.
Room was open late and there were plenty of cozy places to stay - but it seemed like we weren't welcome there and the heater in the room was garbage.

The one major point I will give this motel is that they didn't price gouge when there was almost no vacancy (unlike another motel). The room was adequate for a 3 star motel. Large enough ... In mild disrepair but clean enough. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful though.
Didn't go to the hotel but went to the restaurant for all you can eat wings. It's a regular Tuesday special for $18 with a purchase of a beverage. Wings are super crispy and delicious and they are served with fresh cut fries. Always enjoy the wings and in my opinion are some of the best wings in the Sault.
Excellent food and service for a large work get together! They did such a fantastic job with a pizza and wing buffet! Delicious!!
We were there with a group of over 30 and the waitresses were excellent all night. The food was great. Top 3 wings I've ever had.
The rooms are basic but clean, the upper deck offers great wing's and burgers. They also have pet friendly rooms.
You know what you are getting when you come here. A pretty decent casual dining menu, sports on the numerous TVs and they make a mean Caesar. I would like to say that their recent switch to only carrying Molson products kind of sucks. I liked having Rolling Rock on tap.
