We spent a week at the Heissinger Hotel for the festival. A very well maintained hotel. Spacious room (suite) with a terrace and river views. Very comfortable beds and impeccable morning service. The breakfast is excellent: quality products and plentiful. We also had a closed garage. We will definitely come back.

Very nice hotel with exceptionally friendly service and personal care from the owners and staff. The room was a good size and furnished. The balcony offered a beautiful view of the city and the Ölschnitz River. The very good breakfast with fresh fruit and plenty of coffee is an additional recommendation. A perfect place to rest and very nice people

In the summer of the Golden stag has a menu of the most comfortable beer garden of Bad Berneck with exquisite Franconian. The beer is well chilled. Open from 17 o'clock, closed on Wednesday.

Friendly Service, unfortunately, is displaced from the smell of the kitchen throughout the building. Otherwise, the rooms and the Breakfast are good. A stay will not be regretted.

The hotel is a bit old. The room is in need of some refurbishment and should be updated a bit. Shower and toilet are in the room and are clean. There is WiFi and a TV is available. I think the price per night is a bit high

Both the stay in the hotel and the food in the restaurant were excellent. Very attentive and friendly service and super delicious fresh food. It's hard to choose from the selection on the menu, but you can't go wrong anyway. It just tastes good. We'd love to come by again.

Great short break! The children (4,4,6,8 years) and we were able to recover well in a few days. The food was great. The staff was great! They did everything they could to ensure that we didn't miss anything. I would love to go back soon!

Great hotel for families with young children. The staff is very attentive and nice, food is tasty, rooms clean, and the entertainment for children very good. The only thing missing was WLAN in the room, it was available in the communal areas, but not in our room at the time of our stay. Overall I fully recommend a holiday here!

Lovely family run pension. They provided information about the pension and area before our arrival, which was great. Fair priced and very nice breakfast. Also, they were kind enough to provide us with a kettle, so we were able to prepare formula for our little one without any hassle. Great cost/benefit for a beautiful area.

This is a great base for visitors to the Bayreuth Festival (why we come every year). Simple, confortable and very cheap. Also great for it's call and the many many great walks all around the forest and small mountains.

Very nice family business in an excellent location, currently surrounded by construction sites in town, but you can get there! Excellent cuisine, fantastic sauces from the chef for his dishes. Beautiful holiday apartment in the heart of nature. Great hikes can be started directly from there. Bayreuth is also not far away and worth a trip. The furnishings are comfortable and the host mother is really welcoming. We'd love to come back.

Great accommodation for the 4 of us with a dog. The landlords are very friendly. The house is beautifully situated in nature and is recommended all year round. In winter there are a few ski lifts nearby that are easy to reach. During the rest of the year you can go hiking and cycling and Bayreuth is half an hour away. We spent a few lovely days there. Gladly again 😊

The Hotel Bayerischer Hof was outstanding. The people that work there, the location and the room all were top shelf. The staff took very good care of me, as well as every other person I watched them deal with. They took great concern to meet all my requirements. Travel advice for in and around Bayreuth was perfect. I will definitely stay there again, and so should all travelers.

Comfortable family run hotel. Reception staff could not have been more helpful and we were made to feel most welcome for our short stay. Standards of cleanliness and Covid safety measures could not be faulted. No elevator but not a problem for us because we were given a room on the 1st floor and reception staff insisted on carrying our cases up.

I fall in love to this hotel. Here you can find the most friendly staff, kitchen workers, old story and feel yourselves in home atmosphere. Staircases one of the most precious in this hotel, all noises from it returns you to old fantastic times.

For the second year At The Wagner Fest I stayed at the Hotel Goldener Hirsch just across the street from the Hauptbahnhof . To me it is the heart of Bayreuth. All the Guests know Wagner, as that is why we are all there. It just feels like home to me. Breakfasts are great and Tina runs the main restaurant where I eat everyday and return to after the Opera on Green Hill. I will return there again...

The other ratings are not quite fair, you cannot expect a Hilton when booking a room here. It is a lower cost option in Bayreuth, but they also offer a good transfer option to and from the opera house. It is a bit out of the city, but the bus stop is in front of the hotel. I had a few hours of events in there. The drinks where always filled up again and the snacks in the breaks where delightful.

Fine hotel. Services are very good, restaurant is excellent. I was with a group of 7 people, some of them complaint about the beds (too small and too soft).

At the moment very good hotel, staff and breakfast. Not far from brewery-Maisel and center of city.

Good experience at Arvena Kongress. 10 mins walking from city center, staff was very polite and helpful, room big enough. Just the wifi was a bit annoying, not working properly at times and having to type in keywords everytime you come back to your room. Shower with tents instead of box can be improved too.

Great place for the festival. Breakfast until 1 pm and transport to Festspielhaus. No idea what it's like outside of the season.

Checked in an hour early, the front desk reception was warm! The location is very central and convenient to everywhere! Parking 🅿️ is in the nearby P7 parking lot, very close!

Nice hotel, with an antique atmosphere. Big bedroom with a big bathroom. Great location. The penthouse suite is amazing, also for a group workshop. The negative points: -Very bad WiFi and LTE coverage in my room (52). It is absurd to have such a bad coverage in a "first world" country. Pretty comfortable rooms and great service though the rooms seem to be a bit old on the first view. But all in all a great hotel and a great price! The buffet at the included restaurant was also delicious!

The rooms are spartan but still comfortable. The staff us friendly and the breakfast is good. It can get quite loud sometimes because the hotel is situated at a traffic crossing and on one side there is a bar which closes late. Overall very good.

Hands down one of the best breakfast places I have been to in the whole of Germany! Large outdoors and indoors seating area, very atmospheric, delicious concoctions like the croissant breakfast burger, and I had the egg and avocado eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs done to perfection.

Pastries for breakfast were nice but the coffee - sorry, not good. But there is a nice coffee shop nearby, I wish hotel was using their beans :) Room are nice, modern and big ! We had a dog with us and there was even a nice bowl for him already placed in the room.

Great value for money. The hotel is new and modern. They even have a little breakfast buffet with baked goods, fruit, coffee and tee. The check-in is automated so even though we arrived later we got into the hotel by opening the doors with our phones. Gym is tiny, but perfectly enough.

Room was very outdated, pillows felt as if they had been there since the hotel opened its doors 30 odd years ago and didn’t offer any support, my head was on the mattress most of the night.. Apart from that the staff was friendly and location was good.

OK place, with friendly staff and good facilities. It is a bit basic. Rooms are a bit small and do not come with a fridge or tea & coffee facilities. They do not bring your luggage to your room. Breakfast is OK. As is the focus on the Festspiele. Location is OK, not in but close to the city centre.

This was an excellent stay at the Rheingold in Bayreuth. The hotel room was very clean and so was the bedding. The bathroom was clean and the towels were very clean as well. The restaurant served scrumptious meals. Their breakfast services was exceptionally good. The wifi was high speed and the staff, even though l spoke no German, was very kind and courteous.
