Nice rooms and bathrooms. Restaurant staff really helpful. Postcode took us somewhere miles away up a mountain. Communication was in German and sent pre-arrival emails that were really important because there's not 24/7 staff at the hotel.

We arrived late in the evening but they kept the restaurant open for us. The food and service was excellent. It was possible to store our bicycle in a garage but this was not locked.

The hotel is overpriced for provided service. No AC or fans in rooms. Valves in the shower are super tight. Breakfast is good, personal is nice and friendly but doesn't speak English. There is a garage for bycicles.

Clean rooms, really friendly service, breakfast buffet satisfying, good coffee (!), beds a bit short.

Prices are too high in my opinion but food is good and portions can easily be shared by 2 !

However, they used a phone number for the key machine (i arrived very late) I could not figure out, so I had to use another hotel spontaneously. There wasn't hotel staff or others reachable, due to my late arrival. After 11pm, you are on your own. After 9pm, hotel staff has already left and there is a number to call until 1...

Great service, very friendly staff. Diner is perfect in the restaurant, breakfast fresh and a lot of choice and variety. Rooms a bit outdated, but clean and comfortable. Dogs welcome: a big plus for us!

Clean and tidy, with a few exceptions. The Hotel is already something older, what is on the interior recognizable. Nevertheless, it makes a good impression. The room and especially the bed were clean. Overall good The location is perfect and the view from the hotel stunning. The only negative point is that this hotel has no AC (which can be expected when travelling in Germany). I wish there had been a fan in the room. It got pretty warm during the night - and not to mention the insects that came into the room.

No airconditioning, the smallest shower possible and the breakfast wasn't great.

This hotel is charming and well located right in the historic section. The area has many outdoor restaurants, and a lively little outdoor beer garden right on the river side. The best features of the Hotel were the out door terrace, and patio overlooking the Rhine. It was easy to get to the train station and to visit towns, such as Rheinfelden and Laufenburg.

I’m Italian and I don’t like the bed German style but all the rest is ok

We found exactly what was shown and described on the website, nothing more and nothing less, the price/performance ratio is good. Very friendly staff at reception and in the service, clean junior suite with large, bright bathroom and organic coffee in the room. Varied breakfast with fresh ingredients, not overly lavish, but that's exactly what makes it pleasant because it avoids food waste.

This is the best hotel in the area. I have stayed here 3 times on business and will continue to come back anytime I am in the area. The staff are all incredible and friendly and the location is very relaxing. The rooms are spacious and modern with a balcony. The food is fantastic as well. 10/10 would recommend.

Very clean comfy rooms. Lovely staff. Awesome breaky with cooked eggs and fresh squeeze orange juice. The old town is short drive away and has many nice restaurants and areas to wander around exploring. We ended up staying an extra night and day we liked it so much.

Booked this place by mistake but we were very glad as it worked out better for us. Quiet, rooms were very spacious we had a balcony so sitting out in evening was wonderful. Breakfast was superb. We asked for a kettle for our room and staff went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Would definitely recommend and great value . 2 female friends from Canada on tour

Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. Rooms were clean but the bed was not particularly comfortable. Very expensive due to the proximity to Switzerland. After the third night only one bath towel, the other towels were gone. The breakfast buffet is sufficient but for the number of guests with full occupancy the subsequent delivery of, for example, sausage and cheese took too long.

The room was big, in excellent condition, clean, the desk and TV also in big size. The auto checkin was OK, no problems. The free WIFI is pretty good. The breakfast I think was rather poor. I did not find the cheese, only ham, in the bench drawer any day of my 3 day stay. With small improvement in breakfast I might stay again.

Comfortable, a bit characterless and beige otherwise. Has all the usual amenities just devoid of staff. Would stay again but a bit expensive for no service whatsoever.

Wonderful experience during the whole weekend! Very friendly staff in the hotel but also at the restaurant and bar. The food was delicious and there is a nice range of available drinks. The surroundings are beautiful. We'll visit anytime again, hopefully soon!

The service in this hotel is the best service that I have had in years. This hotel group wants to do everything for you and your party to make you comfortable and make sure you have an excellent stay. Cannot fault the intent and food options and quality of rooms.

There are definitely no negative points from me, because after my flight was delayed and I arrived in Rheinfelden well after 10 p.m., I was still able to get into my room! Very clean room, very quiet location, very nice and courteous staff. Definitely a pension where I would check in again! I would like to add that the rooms with balconies are ideal for smokers and they also have ashtrays. Perfect

All in all very pleasant, breakfast buffet was nice and plenty choices. Only downsides are that the room walls are rather thin and depending on your neighbor, you may hear them clearly. The other small downsides are the missing slippers in the room, so you best bring your own. Location is great, just 5min walk to the Swiss border.

Good choice! Great choice in the area to explore both sides of the border. It is much cheaper to stay in Germany than Switzerland. A ten minute walk to the Rheinfelden train station on the Swiss side where you can access all of Switzerland. Breakfast is very good, room is up to date and clean. Staff is friendly and attentive. We stayed in Rheinfelden as a base to take trips into Switzerland. The hotel was a nice place for the money. It did take a little time to get back and forth to Basel. We really enjoyed walking across the bridge into Rheinfelden Switzerland! There are several good restaurants near the hotel. Our favorite place was the sushi restaurant across the street!!!

Arrival entry is different It is a bit confusing getting the door to open when you arrive. It requires a call or a special code from the email. But the breakfast was awesome.

Good value for money. The room was large and clean, nice modern bathroom. Paid parking was in the same building underground. Location is in the German side, if you want to explore the Swiss side, it’s about a seven minute easy walk.

My wife and I first stayed at this accommodation last year and were so impressed that we returned again recently, when it was just as good. The hosts/owners are still very welcoming and our floor two room with balcony overlooking the Schwarzwald was again excellent. Beautiful location where you can see the hills all around as far as the alps. A bit hard to get to but worth it! Perfect if you want to do some walking in the evening. The location is the best part, it's located just 5 minutes from the train station. In addition, lots of shopping areas, supermarkets and restaurants around. Breakfast is standard, with juice, breads, croissants, cornflakes, eggs, fruits forming the main ingredients.

I was here for three months on a business trip. Perfect and clam place to rest while the city center is quiet close and at walkable distance. The owner is very gentle and the staffs are very friendly too. May be one of the best place to stay in schopfheim.

The hotel is located next to an industrial area only 600m from the Swiss border. The hotel only has breakfast service but restaurants are in a short walking distance. The room was very clean and well equipped with all the essentials.

Very comfortable hotel in a small village. Very nice staff and fantastic breakfast. In the village reigns an incredible silence and thanks to the fountain everything is very relaxing. Unique is the restaurant, prices out of the ordinary to be in a small village. Grappa 9,5€ is too much.

To reach by car, a beautiful path leads to this Restaurant, When you start in Wyhlen you land here after a ~1 hour hike. I would really love vegan options here, since i think the chef is talented and we should go with the time, and more and more people would like to be able to eat out vegan.

simply put, this place is one of the most welcoming and charming houses i've ever had the great luck of being a guest. the fact that this place has just a very small amount of rooms in total besides being set on an incredibly amazing location gives you the actual feel like being welcomed in a lush and private secluded villa, even though its set almost in the middle of this little villages center. everything...

Very impressed with the Kalbschnitzel and Rösti dish. The Rösti was more potato-ish and golden-crispy fried. With a light crust it still fell apart like a soufflé.
