Perfect family hotel with indoor and outdoor facilities in a relaxing environment. Very clean and cosy. Personnel always smiling and helpful. The food is of very high quality and the surroundings need no introduction, it's the famous Black Forest after all.

The hotels location is perfect. Its clean. In checking however took us more than half an hour. I would suggest to also have an option to check in at the main desk. This would be way more customer friendly

We had booked a 5 night stay - the room was a little on the small side for 2 people navigating, but efficient. A small fridge would be a great addition to the room. Location is great - walking distance to restaurants/shopping and the train station. The only draw back we found is that there is no physical person that can be addressed - all communication goes through a central office not located in town...

The rooms are modern, very clean and have everything one needs. There was a desk with two chairs, a closet and even a small balcony. Great breakfast! Gym is very good with "smith" machine, bench press, heavy dumbells and pull over. Excellent for strenght training. Keep it good please! And let it open 24h. Only lowlight is lack of air conditioning. On summer time must be hard. Everything else was excellent.

Familiar hotel with kind people helping you with all your needs. The room was new and clean, the food at restaurant was really good. We stayed just one night so we could not use all the services offered, like the Sauna or the Gym. Better stay in the area!

This is a family run hotel and so they try to make it more comfortable for the guests. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. There is also a full service restaurant, serving hearty Baden cuisine, which is clearly frequented by locals as well as by hotel guests. Pleasant village setting nestled amongst vineyards and framed by the hills of the Black Forest.

The room was very clean and comfortable! The pre-registration seemed to be a bit much at first, but I'm now assuming that it is so they can prepare a one-day local transit pass and have it ready for you upon check-in. The staff are very hospitable! We stayed a night after spending the day at Europa Park.

Friendly host who speaks English, German and French. The apartment has a Nespresso coffee machine and capsules are provided for a small price. A beautiful garden with a spectacular view in an upper cul de sac. Even toilet paper, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher powder, towels were provided. Ideal base for a visit to Europa Park.

Quite Big rooms and very reasonable rates. Owner lady was too nice and explained everything nicely. in 216 Euros we had 2 double beds and a bunkbed so place for 6 people actually .. Highly impressive.

Three night stay in the Black Forest. Well placed hotel, with good road and public transport connections. Most of the Black Forest is within an hours drive. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Buffet breakfast served till 10am. Ate in the restaurant in the evening, set menu available. Quality of food very good and well presented. Staff very friendly and entertaining.

Contrary to other reviews, I have absolutely no complaints about the cleanliness. It's a hotel that offers excellent value for money. An overnight stay including breakfast for around €65 is perfectly reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.

The location is very good if you want to go to Europa-Park. The room was clean. Free parking is available. The breakfast was sufficient. The hotel also has a sauna, a pool, tennis courts, etc. Perfect for sports enthusiasts.

The welcome was warm, and check-in went smoothly. We also received a great recommendation for dinner at the Kenzinger Engel. The rooms are tastefully furnished, the bed was very comfortable – we slept excellently. A particularly practical feature: the windows can be completely blacked out using external blinds. Our room was spotless, and despite our late arrival, the checkout process wasa breeze. We were particularly charmed by the hotel's decor, which evoked a lovely village and cozy atmosphere. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of air conditioning in the bathroom.

The day we arrived, a member of the female staff received us in a rather cold manner. She didn't bother to show us our room. The boss ignores us in a masterful way when, for example, we want to go up the stairs; she doesn't move aside when we pass her, nor hello or smile. Lovely family hotel for Europa Park A lovely hotel near Europa Park. Used their shuttle service ro the park and the station, and that was brilliant and always on time. The pillows could have been a bit better but aside from that a lovely family hotel.

Still as great and simple as ever.

If you need a place to stay after a long day at Europa park this is a great spot. It has friendly staff, clean rooms , a grocery store across the street, even a winery 3 kilometers away and a very good Italian restaurant next door. Whatever you do though do t accept two keys , if you lose one or your kid does they will charge you a crazy 20 euros. One key is enough , do not accept 2nd.

5min drive to Europa Park and Rulantica. Clean rooms, family rooms with bunk beds, free great breakfast, complimentary water bottles, and budget friendly. Way cheaper than staying at one of the theme parks! Loved our experience.

Very convenient if you go to Europa Park, near the direct bus shuttle to the park and the train station. Rooms are big, clean and bright, hotel has a nice little garden with tables and breakfast is really good. Only negative point is that hotel reception staff is only available till early afternoon.

Not too expensive, spacious clean bedrooms, excellent breakfast with lots of options to choose from in the buffet. We went during a calm period so there was no noisy disturbance. You can hear the regional train nearby if you open the windows. There is no air conditioning though. You can have bottles of sparkling water for free. Overall it was a really nice stay.

This place was at first glance fairly in the vicinity of the motorway. Upon closer inspection, it was still a half an hour by completely unlit forest roads to ride. Since we are on passage were from Italy and in Switzerland many had been delayed, on the road, the call that we were in. There isn’t much competition in the immediate area, but still this hotel does its best to make you feel welcome. Rooms are spotless and rather big, and come with decent workspace as well. They are, as is common for Express hotels, not very well equipped (no fridge/minibar) but it’s enough for an overnight or two...

Fodd is good with a very nice staff. A/C controlled by hotel despite the dial in the room. Wont let you cool or warm it past what the building stat is at. Opening the windows will get you a night of horseflies.

We came home yesterday and spent a wonderful 8 days in the castle courtyard. Our children (6 and 2) and we were absolutely thrilled, we found the cowshed particularly great :) Real farming to touch and great offers for the children. The area also offers a lot, so that you are always busy :)

We are just going home and our little mouse (20 m) had a lot of fun in the castle courtyard. All the animals are great and the people there are very nice and uncomplicated. Our dog was also welcome. We can fully recommend the farm.
