We usually take a stop in Gottingen when returning from our summer holiday in Italy. This year we choose FREIgeist, and what a hotel! We found the hotel and ordered a room at our arrival. Got the price equal to the price on their home page. In addition we paid €15 for a parking space in the safe garage below the hotel. Check-in procedure was smooth and service was good. Overall a very nice hotel. The room was modern and clean, in a decent size and in a great condition. We didn’t try the spa, but we did try the restaurant and that was a treat. Portions were perhaps a bit on the small side, but they did warn about that beforehand so we weren’t surprised either. A good experience!

The design of the hotel overall was very nice and they have excellent food. Service is almost as good as you can expect in N. America at the reception, but leaves something to be desired in the dining room. Meals are family style and they bring some tables all the items stated on the menu and completely miss others. Historic city center and parts of the university at a walking distance. Also no noise from railway and roads. Easy to reach by car as well, but no free parking. It's not a 4 star hotel. The rooms are quite simple, and needs to be renovated. The breakfast is ok, but nothing special.

Very good location, walking distance from the train station. We found free parking on Scheutzenanger st and Hidebrandstrasse, both barely 10 min walk from the hotel. Sraff was very friendly and helpful. The city center is also 10 min walk from the hotel. Room was clean, comfortable.

Perfectly fine place to stay. The room was spotless, they have a lot of great things at their breakfast bar, and the location is a 3 minute walk from the train station. The city center is a 14 minute walk away.

Great service and polite and sweet staff. Their beds were really comfortable! Tasty breakfast buffet, their jam options and their breads were also amazing. Very tasty scrambled eggs and the variety of cheese and freshly prepared mozzarella.

I stayed more than a month in this hotel. Cleaning was well done and the staff were always kind and cheerful. I've never had breakfast here but I know that they offer breakfast for an extra fee if it's not included in your reservation. It is located very close to the center but definitely should be careful about the high building right across the street because I've seen cops there almost every evening

Good hotel! Special thanks to the receptionist who helped me open a christmas calendar to remove the battery, it took a lot of effort (thank you). The only not so good aspect is that they didn't make my bed, while other colleagues had their beds made every day. I got used to it 😗

We stayed for 3 nights at the B&B Göttingen as a family of 4 in one of their Family rooms. The room was spacious, with enough beds to sleep 5 people. The room was clean, quiet (we faced the front of the building, away from the train tracks), and was an easy walk to the centre of town. Parking was free, with multiple places for electric charging. Cleaning and stocking (especially of toilet paper) were not done daily and were not great. The location is good, and the room is fine, but a mini-fridge and a kettle would have improved it. The reception personal were nice. Breakfast is really pricy for what's offered. For a lower budget hotel it's fine, but not much more.

Good location with about 10 minutes walk to the center. The staff at check-in were helpful but no more, almost nonchalant. The rooms were clean but a bit dated, felt like traveling back to the 80s. Since two years I stay regularly on business trips in this nice hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. In summer I recommend to ask for a room to the back side, where it is so quiet that you can leave the windows open. The hotel is very nice, the breakfast is tasty. It is situated far from the city centre, and the buses come every 20 minutes, or once an hour on non busy hours. If someone has a bike or car however the hotel will be perfect for them.

Stayed there for 5 nights in early January 2024. Very nice and professional front desk staff, actually every employee at the hotel was very nice. Good place for a single room. The price is reasonable and the location is excellent. However, the interior design could have improved a little. The wall image was supposed to create a perspective of spaciousness. But the idea of printing feet and legs on a huge wall isn’t very aesthetically appealing. So clean. So comfy. So friendly. They had nice, firm beds, comforters with the perfect weight, and crisp sheets. The shower had awesome water pressure. The decor was cool, without being aggressively so. I would go back again, without hesitation.

Clean and good hotel. The pool is a must have ! (You need to reserve it in the reception) The rooms are correct, not too small, the staff is friendly. You have a desk too in the chamber. So it’s a good choice !

Nice and quiet hotel. Clean rooms. Road touch with a bus stop merely 150m from hotel. Friendly staff, good breakfast. But only line-120 bus will take you to the train station. Other buses can be caught with nearby stops which are approx. 500m from hotel. McDonals and KFC nearby.

A nice stat The staff was very helpful and the check-in was quick and simple. We realised that the hotel is dog friendly, meaning we will come back in the future. No doubts. If anything then the hotel is perhaps a little old fashion. However not an issue at all and breakfast was good :-)

Food at the hotel was excellent from the very full, extensive selection for breakfast to the very high quality of the evening dinner. The room was large, spotless and included tea and coffee, the bed was huge and comfortable. I would certainly use Parkhotel Ropeter again.

At first, the check in with a new staff was a bit unpleasant. Later the evening gentleman was very kind, initiated to make the stay better. We are grateful for him and the hotel.

Outstanding value for money. We booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children, and it turned out that a family room consists of 2 double rooms with a door between them. That means 2 bath rooms, 2 big single beds, 2 of everything. So much space. Outstanding! If you as a family need to go somewhere, go to Astoria in Göttingen!

My home away from Home while studying at Göttingen! I love the rooms, so clean and fresh all the time. I stayed at the top floor, and small window from my window always gave me the opportunity to have a view of Göttingen. The staff is very friendly, and I remember, he even gave me his cellphone to call my parent in Austria. Oh, and the love the Breakfast!
