Ok hotel to stay at for a night. Large spa was a big plus but the hotel is a little run down and the staff was not very friendly

Great hotel, but not if you are sound sensitive Great hotel, great bed, great location to stay overnight when driving through Germany, but wear earplugs if you are sound sensitive.

A very good hotel. The rooms are quiet and very clean, the location is really good (walking distance to city center and station), reception staff is very efficient, the food is good. The parking is free. I will be happy to stay in this hotel again in future.

Room was OK, but stains on the wall, carpet and curtains. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom nice! Main issue was the noise. There's a place for events just adjacent to the hotel which, unluckily for us, hosted a darts competition on the night of our stay. I was stranded by DB late at night and had no other option but to go to a hotel. Reception, Majid in particular, was so amazing and I was in my room within 10 minutes. The room was clean, all the staff was nice, and the location was perfect.

Clean, functional rooms, standard breakfast buffet (extra payment). Optimal location if you travel by train, directly at the station. Historic city center and parts of the university at a walking distance. Also no noise from railway and roads. Easy to reach by car as well, but no free parking. Conevnient hotel for my visit to the University of Göttingen. Nice room with coffee maker, but no refrigerator. Desk space is very limited. Check-in took a long time despite having done an online check-in in advance, there was a long line at the reception. But got a glass of wine upon check-in which was appreciated. The hotel has a great bar, which is open late. Breakfast is nice but expensive.

We usually take a stop in Gottingen when returning from our summer holiday in Italy. This year we choose FREIgeist, and what a hotel! We found the hotel and ordered a room at our arrival. Got the price equal to the price on their home page. In addition we paid €15 for a parking space in the safe garage below the hotel. Check-in procedure was smooth and service was good. Good location with about 10 minutes walk to the center. The staff at check-in were helpful but no more, almost nonchalant. The rooms were clean but a bit dated, felt like traveling back to the 80s. There is no air conditioning so it was terribly hot in the room. The breakfast gets a big plus, fresh and a lot to choose from. There is free parking outside the hotel

Since two years I stay regularly on business trips in this nice hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and quiet. In summer I recommend to ask for a room to the back side, where it is so quiet that you can leave the windows open. A couple of minutes walk from the old center, great restaurants in the vicinity. Very good breakfast with excellent spread. And fresh pineapple! The room was very nice and tidy. Didn’t see if there is air conditioning, but luckily didn’t need it.

The hotel is good. The rooms are clean and of high standard. There are multiple saunas and a Pool for cooling down afterwards. The city center can easily be reached by foot. Breakfast is good - nothing special, but solid. Staff is superb! The only thing which bothers me, is that there is a bath tub instead of a common shower. But that's more a personal preference, I admit.

No soap-cups or holders, old equipment, shower as in a hostel. 15mbit free wifi, and 25mbit pay wifi! Come on! Really? In 2021 pay wifi with 25mbit? Not a 4 stars hotel in any means

The hotel is very nice, the breakfast is tasty. It is situated far from the city centre, and the buses come every 20 minutes, or once an hour on non busy hours. If someone has a bike or car however the hotel will be perfect for them.

The rooms were cozy and the reception available at all times of the day. Not the best location, about 20mins bus ride from the train station. Had some difficulty finding the main entrance. The best part was breakfast, everything was so delicious 😋.

This hotel is good for transfers, but the room has a strong smell. It's facing the cemetery, so timid friends should take a detour. The location is good, it takes 10 minutes to reach the city center and the train station.

Practical and close to the train station

I stayed more than a month in this hotel. Cleaning was well done and the staff were always kind and cheerful. I've never had breakfast here but I know that they offer breakfast for an extra fee if it's not included in your reservation. It is located very close to the center but definitely should be careful about the high building right across the street because I've seen cops there almost every evening

Good hotel! Special thanks to the receptionist who helped me open a christmas calendar to remove the battery, it took a lot of effort (thank you). The only not so good aspect is that they didn't make my bed, while other colleagues had their beds made every day. I got used to it 😗

Shared bathrooms in itself would be ok for a hoStel, misleading name, but community showers? What are you smoking? You have to create an account for the useless app (you'll get a key card anyways), worst of all with a phone number. The doors slam shut very, very loudly, very annoying in the night, you know. The only nice thing is the mirror and a washing basin in the room.

So clean. So comfy. So friendly. They had nice, firm beds, comforters with the perfect weight, and crisp sheets. The shower had awesome water pressure. The decor was cool, without being aggressively so. I would go back again, without hesitation.

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Rennschuh. The room had everything I needed for the night and the staff gave me great tips on places I could get food later in the evening, as well as helpful directions for finding my room and other things in the hotel. I would stay here again!

it is remote, facility in the room is not as advertised and overall not a convenient place to stay. the restaurant however is excellent, although limited menu for vegetarians. room has no air-conditioning. but if you open windows, bugs get in and also high noise. very little comfort in the room. very limited parking so you may not get any although it is advertised.

Great stay, awesome breakfast! Very nice hotel with great service, nice rooms and an awesome breakfast. The only thing is that the beds were quite hard. But all in all a VERY nice hotel! We will definitely come here again. Also a plus for easy charging of E-vehicle. A heads up though is to watch out for speeding cameras entering and exiting the village over the bridge.
