Where to stay in Grimma

Came here for a wedding from SF, room is a little sparse and hot but very comfortable. Family friendly and great staff made for an amazing party. Do yourself a favor and rent a bike from the hotel and do the loop to Grimma with the ferry, one of the highlights of my entire trip was that bike ride (bike was nice and well maintained).

An absolutely stunning place to stay! The room was decorated and furnished to a very high standard, and had good air condition, which was important at that time of year. The food in the restaurant opposite was of great quality, and a bonus point for stocking my favourite wheat beer! I will 100% return next time I am working in Leipzig.

A ship mill is a mill, what used to be a ship mill. Now there is a guesthouse or a hotel chain or a great place to eat and drink here, where you can eat your fill or become a meeting place. This was the perfect choice for our wedding location. I normally don't do 5Star but this location was exceptional. Choose this hotel because the area was familiar. What for a great place. The owners such a nice couple and helpful. The rooms are a retreat. Didnt expect the hospitality and was a huge releave as we fellt welcomed and almost at home in our cute little apartment.

It was noisy in the evening/night due to various meetings and parties. The room was not even cleaned during the stay and you had to get fresh towels yourself. The towel in the room had been hanging there for so long that it was yellowed and dusty. The non-smoking room used to be a smoker's room (as was my colleague's) and smelled strongly of cold smoke. Wrong room, bad service I had booked a family room but got a regular room. When I asked the reception about it I was told that they don't have that room and that it is sold out. Hotel is in ok condition. Staff is nice, with the exception of one lady in restaurant, which is so rude and disrespectful on treatment of the guests. Rooms are a little old, not air condition available. In family rooms, they don’t offer queen beds for families, just offer two single beds and a very hard sofa bed. Parking is very convenient and secure. Restaurant is great, food is good.

A wonderful hotel This is a very nice and updated hotel away from the city center. They have a wonderful buffet breakfast and an on site garage. The pleasant surprise was a complimentary tram ticket for the entire family so that we could get to the city center. We’ll definitely stay here again.

The Staff is realy nice and helpfull, breakefast is ok but the cleaning service isn't doing its job "well done". Three is a lot of dust around the edges of the furnitute. The beds are comvy but are already heavily used out. The room 206 has a broken toilet, it's not atached to the wall firmly, it does its job but that's very uncomfortable. Could not get an exchange room because the hotel was full....

Affordable hotel just outside the city centre of Leipzig. You can easily take the tram in front of the hotel, or take a 30 minutes walk to the city centre. Room qas quite spacious for the price charged. It is equipped with a coffee maker and kitchenette. The bathroom was clean and not too small. There’s some noise from the street, but that wasn’t a problem for us. Good breakfast and nice staff.

Good choice for a budget hotel. It's in central Leipzig and a tram stop is just around the corner. Very cheap and the room had everything we needed. The shared bathrooms are alright, but bring your own toiletries if you can. All in all, great value for €22 a night.

Perfect stay for family We stayed one-night; family with a tween and 7-year-old. It was the most pleasant and quiet stay ever. Found free parking easily (it was Sunday though). Studio was clean and comfortable.

We were desperately looking for a place to stay at half past ten at night when we around this little hostel. Super nice staff and great prices. Clean and well equipped. Our room smelled a bit of scented candles, but I think it was just to fit in with the atmosphere of this hostel.

The double bed was just too small for two people and the matress was probably quite old. We arrived at the hotel little late on the evening and felt unsafe until we get into the property. I do not recommend to go outside walking in the evening.

Room and staff were great! We loved the airco in the room and the breakfast particularly. When we booked, we paid almost 120 euro per night. However, during our stay the price was about half of that. This felt disappointing, because we paid in full. During the booking process, we were not notified about the free parking in the street next to the hotel. American travelers should know this is an older building and your room probably won't have A/C, but will have a fan. Shower water can be as hot or cold as you'd like. This is a review of the property as an art gallery. Focusing on Leipzig School works, and spread over the hallways of the five floors of the hotel, the Leipziger Hof gallery is quite enjoyable. It can be visited any day between 10a and 8p. Plan between 30 and 45 minutes. Particular highlights include a Mattheuer and a Tuebke.
