We ended up here just because another hotel put us off. We probably wouldn't have booked it otherwise. But what a pity. It may be in the middle of nowhere, but you can enjoy a great breakfast buffet with wild sausage in the morning. The extensive grounds make you very relaxed. The staff are so friendly and the room was basic but the beds were very comfortable. Full marks as a stopgap and the location...

It's a really nice and relaxing place. Only shortcomings are no internet and very bad mobile coverage (WiFi connects but no internet, only 2G mobile which they can't influence).

Very nice hotel, spacious rooms. Service and staff friendly, competent and courteous. TOP. Location if you're mobile is quite good, if you're not mobile is not so good. Train connection is 7 km away.

Spacious room a bit dated, the bathroom is small and not very conveniently arranged toilet at the entrance of the shower cubicle dangerous step in / out and the cabin does not close properly. The breakfast across the road but was good and friendly service. There are mostly elderly people had a nice day and see you next time

Interesting place as a time travel back to 1980's or earlier. The hotel gave a bit of Overlook Hotel feeling.. Furniture and colours dark and a bit oldfashioned but all clean and proper. Breakfast is ok but nothing extra, served in an old dancehall with lot of history in the walls..As close you can get old DDR nowadays! Be aware of that Visa and MasterCard is not accepted!

A cozy, small and above all clean hotel! The breakfast offer is very rich and tasty and the view of Stralsund is just stunning. Mrs. Schachtschneider and her staff are very nice and courteous. I don't even know how many nights we've spent there in recent years, but we're always impressed, starting with the warm welcome, the lovingly furnished and clean rooms, and the lovingly prepared breakfast buffet. The dear operators always have an open ear and are at your side with advice and action. Simply recommended and we will stop by again and again.

I stayed at the Hiddenseer for two days while visiting Stralsund (See it in blackandpaper.com) It was really good. The staff is really nice and the rooms are very clean but could be a bit cramped for some. The best aspect of the room was the terrace view. Secondly, the hotel is next to the aquarium and other bars and eateries. And, a 10 minute walk to the center. We had dinner at the Hiddenseer...

Amazing hotel with a stunning sea view and a very good breakfast.

One of the best restaurants you will find in Stralsund. The location is close to the water and very comfortable on the inside! You need to try the seasonal fish. They are fresh and good prepared with delicious side dishes. Hope to come back soon!

Basically everything that you need is available, including a large shower and dishwasher. The apartment on the ground floor, directly across from the office, is unfortunately very badly soundproofed, not bad in itself, as it is a rather quiet location at the harbor, but rather unsuitable with a baby. We are regularly in HST. The location is excellent, right on the harbor island. You should definitely book the parking space with whom you are arriving in your own car. It is also practical that the owners run a brokerage office on the ground floor, which can be helpful if you need help. A cheap hotel with very kind, polite and helpful staff. The rooms contains what is expected of them and more. With free wi-fi, Sky TV offering, a fridge that also contains drinks you can buy, snacks you can buy, fine beds and excellent bathrooms. Besides that free coffee and cake is available at the hotel. The breakfast is also fine, with a good selection of toppings for your bread and other options

The breakfast was very delicious and fresh. This pension is close to all shops, cafes and also close to the see promenade. So the location is great. Staff is very nice and helpful.

Minus: burger place on the ground floor which leaves a constant smell of grease in the hallway (no smell in our 2nd floor room). We had a big and nicely decorated apartment. The apartments are well located and the cleaning was good. I recommend staying here.

Beautifully cozy and individually decorated rooms. Lots of exposed brick in very historic buildings around a central courtyard.

We had a great stay. The rooms were cozy and there was even a nice coffee machine with their own roasted coffee. Great sauna facilities and especially loved the breakfast. Definitely recommend it!

While struggling with speaking English , staff are genuinely friendly. In this beatifully restored place we had 2 adjacent rooms, very spatious with high ceilings and subtle decorated walls with our own balcony. Dogs welcome in tthe room with their own amenities provided.

Great hotel in a great city. Rooms are a bit somber but perfectly equipped and cleaned. Beds are excellent and so is the bathroom. You can compose your own breakfast that will be carried to your table in- or outside, and appears to have no limits. The hotel has a good restaurant for your evening meals if you so wish. There is a valet car parking service. Highly recommended.

The hotel consists of three buildings connected with a beautiful walkway underground. Checkin was smooth and they help with the luggage to the rooms. Very nice family environment. Nice large rooms comfortably designed with full bath. Very clean! Delicious breakfast buffet with very friendly service. The location in the center allows everything to be reached on foot.

Near main station of stralsund, where you can quickly get train to go to Binz.

This is a decent hotel, located just a three-minute walk to the right of the train station. It's very convenient for walking to the old town and taking the train to and from Rügen Island. The receptionist and the guy were always in a bad mood, lacking even a smile. There's also no "Huazhu Club free transportation card" as promised.

Hotel right outside of the train station. They accept pets for a fee. Breakfast was ok and had a good variety, however it was always the same. The beds however are too hard.

I wasn't too happy with the rooms, the appearance is very outdated and could use an upgrade. It was however quiet for the most part, which is a plus. The breakfast was a bit too small and lacked some in range. I expected more choices. The corridors and entrance smelled like smoke at times. The staff is great! Very friendly and helpful.

Rooms clean and quiet, breakfast quite good. Big negative was the internet-speed (200 kbit/s). This was the speed according to the hotel's instructions, not a mere impression on my part. Couldn't access my emails. That's not acceptable for an urban hotel in a developed country, sorry!

Frindly staff, and a nice and clear hotel

Stayed here for a few weeks for a work related stay. It was great. Friendly staff, clean and fresh, nice breakfast and a great location. Bahnhof was close and a short walk to the Altstadt.

Excellent place. Friendly staff who will help you with everything. I had seen a post about English speaking and the lack of it but that is not the case. English speaking staff here for sure. Nice buffet breakfast and good sized comfortable rooms. Close to the Bahnhof and easy walking distance to the Altstadt. Car parking available at request.

My room did suffer from a bit of early morning noise from the side street, but it was a comfortable room of a good size. Meals were available, but I chose to dine out. The bed and bathroom were good. The lift was very handy, too. The desk staff spoke English and gave good local advice.

Across the street from the train station, this hotel was very convenient for us and offered good value for money! Comfortable beds in a big, high ceiled, pleasant and clean room. Breakfast was basic but good. Be aware that the downtown area is some distance away. We had bikes but otherwise you're in for a longer walk or a bus ride.

Already from the outside you can imagine the grandeur of former times. Inside the simple decoration and furniture appeal to former Eastern Germany. In 2022 this is connected to a certain atmosphere. Okay for one night. The bathroom, in particular, is very cramped. Wiping a little more dust would be good. A cobweb hung from the ceiling throughout the bathroom. Staff was very friendly.

Nice, clean and personal. The staff went to great lengths to meet our special needs for the arrival time. For a few days you definitely can't go wrong here. A hygiene concept is in place and is implemented in an uncomplicated manner.

Warm welcome, nice beds, decent breakfast, price a bit too much, not that clean (sone dust), small bathroom with annoyingly loud fan - but I don’t like fans anyway. Check-in at 2pm, but also noon was possible. Check-out at 11am. Great! On property (small lots) and plenty of on street parking - Overall a good experience.
