The rooms are fair the breakfast is adequate but the dinner is just overpriced. The area surrounding Hechtsberg is awesome if you enjoy a hike in the forest.

Very good kitchen and food. The breakfast selection at the breakfast is very small. The whole facility is in very good condition but the hotel is in the middle of nowhere! All in all a clear recommendation for a short stay!

Lovely room above a Greek restaurant. Close to the train station and walking distance to the Blackforest Open Air Museum (well worth a trip). The bed was very comfortable and there was everything you need for a short stay. We ate at the restaurant and the food was great.

We stayed in a room which looked directly over the Canal, to our delighted surprise. Made for a very pleasant spot to relax! Our host was very welcoming and friendly, and we enjoyed our breakfast.

Great place to stay on the Westweg rail and very good value for money. Nice room and wonderful dinner (I highly recommend to eat here). The old lady who is running the guesthaus is amazing, she can speak 5 different languages which is pretty rare, especially in the black forest where I met only few people who could speak English.

Wonderful family hotel and restaurant with a very special charm and great rooms, owner-managed by the gracious family Pastor! Great cuisine with typical dishes and seasonal, varied dishes, which are sweetened by a homemade Black Forest cake for dessert! Me and my wife can highly recommend this location, that i we visit multiple times a year!

During my business trip for 5 days, I stayed here. Frau Pastor and her husband were very accommodating and made my stay very comfortable. The food is also very nice, and the homemade cheesecake was amazing! The bed was comfortable and the room was nice. I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend to you.

5+5 Stars. This place was amazing. When we checked in iirenea greeted us and informed us of things to do. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. All the linen and towels were crisp and clean. When we were leaving we asked about dinner. I told her my wife wanted Jagerschnitzel. It was not on the menu and she said she could make it. We came back and told her we would be back in 30 min. for dinner...

We ate the soup and the käsespätzle. It was okay. Some bread with the soup would've been nice.

Very nice parking space with only 4 places, cozy at the inn with chickens in the immediate vicinity. Railway, road and summer toboggan run not far away, but not disturbing. Shower and breakfast possibility as well as drinks and snack machines. You feel welcome. Gladly again.

Very nice stay at Gasthof Hecht, warm welcome, nice bedroom and very good breakfast. The only thing is that the English version of the website shows an incorrect price of €38 per person and it is actually €44-48. I hope this will be corrected quickly since a 20% price difference to what is advertised is not a pleasant surprise.

For a cheap money you pay, you get to stay in a nice, very clean hotel. It's old stylish but still nice for a stay. Has a small pool which can be used also in the night, as well as sauna...

We stayed at the hotel over the weekend and were completely satisfied with everything... No matter whether it was the room, breakfast or the service... Very nice hosts. That's why I can't understand some of the bad reviews at all... If you look at others Treated the way you would like it to be treated yourself, there are no problems.... We will definitely be guests there again.

The three of us came completely wet and dirty from a mountain bike tour. We would still be offered a place independently. The hostess? showed us a room where we could change. During our meal, which was very tasty, our things were briefly washed and dried. SUPER SERVICE. Here, hospitality and service is not just a job but a calling. We'll come back when we're nearby.

A very nice hotel. We were there with 9 motorcycle riders for 6 nights. Very nice rooms The food is simply very good and plentiful. Breakfast was also very good. The persona, rarely had such friendly and helpful employees and owners. So I was completely satisfied with everything. Price performance is simply top. Definitely coming back again.

A nice hotel in lovely surroundings. Friendly staff, good food and excellent facilities. Well worth a visit. It’s also worth remembering that between 1 and 3pm the hotel has what they call ‘quiet time’. The local railway station gives you plenty of opportunities to visit other interesting parts of Germany, including Heidelberg.

Arrived here in desperate search of accommodation after the place we booked lost our reservation. The staff were very helpful and set us up immediately in an excellent room. Good size, very clean and with an excellent view of the town. Later that night we dined in the restaurant and the food was incredible. Absolutely a gem of a hotel! Great design elements, small but not cramped. Great for couples. The town Hornberg is sleepy but quaint, some nice restaurants. Many great walks and beautiful vistas near by. Great breakfast buffet!! The staff are friendly, speak English well and gave good advice for things to do. A place we'll visit again soon!!

Super stay. Big family room very well laid out, great shower and amenities including a kettle and they left some toys for our 2 year old which was greatly appreciated. Good breakfast, especially enjoyed the fruit salad. Very friendly and helpful staff. Also recommend the restaurant right next door - Tannhauser. Overall a great experience, highly recommend this place.

The people were very welcoming and helpful, the location was picturesque and the on-site farm shop was an added bonus.

Went here with my group a while ago. Top accommodation for good money. As soon as we have a construction site in the area again, we'll be back. You can also shop late in the evening in the farm's own shop...sausage, bread, schnapps and much more from the farm.

Need to check room facility every time with owner.. Example heater not working

Very beautiful place to be. Great value for the money. The homemade breakfast it's really good. The owners are very nice persons, tho only the daughter understand good English. The only downside for us was the fact that we had to buy our own barbeque tools only for a day, as they are not providing them. However, we enjoyed it very much. May actually go back again sometime.
