The proximity to the harbour could not be closer! Good location. The room was small but clean. The area near the sliding door had a table, 2 chairs and 2 foot stools. It felt very cramped. We spent Aus$977 for 2 nights and had to ask for fresh towels for the 2nd day and tea bags, 4 tea bags were provided. It seemed a bit paltry. The reason given was to be environmentally friendly. We stayed at this hotel as our usual one had closed due to the owners moving on. Hotel was awesome! Great history of Helgoland on show throughout the hotel. The rooms were well decorated and furnished to a high standard. Staff were attentive and the breakfast tremendous. We shall definitely return. My Grandmother was born on Helgoland and I shall always return. It’s a very special place.

The room and complimentary breakfast were awesome, with a great view from the room as advertised. However checkout seemed very early (10:30) given that no boat was leaving the island until the afternoon (first ones leaving around 15:00).

Lovely people working there. We were there for three days. Fantastic breakfast and food. The sauna and steam room needed to be better, steam room wasn't clean and didn't work properly. They didn't clean the room every day. Only made the bed. Maybe you should ask.

Fresh fish, crab and lobster in the restaurant and lovely place to be on beach or take a quiet walk around the island or go underground on tours of Hitlers WW2 fortress. Great views in certain rooms. But nonetheless u should be in your room.

Absolutely fantastic. The room was superb, clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We really enjoyed it. The location is, of course, perfect.

This was our first time on Heligoland, where we stayed for 6 nights. Haus Rungholt was a very good choice; the apartment was clean, bright, and pleasantly furnished. Only an apartment with a sea view could have topped it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was very good. We would love to come back.

I very nice hotel situated on the promenade. Rooms were very clean with everything you need for a few day's holiday. Breakfast was very good, plentiful, and covered every taste.

Great emphasis is placed on cleanliness. The breakfast buffet is rich and missing something is always refilled. Very friendly and courteous staff.

The two of us stayed there for one night in a room with a sea view. Small but fine rooms that are wonderfully open thanks to the large window front. We received a nice and friendly welcome and the breakfast was nicely prepared. We would love to come back :)

Great place, very hospitality and lovely coffee whit apple pie

The Cake was really Tasty, and the Coffee as well. The waiter needed a bit longer but it was worth it.

We stayed in the Helgolander Klassik apartment for 3 days. Everything was beautifully renovated. The artists there were very busy. The breakfast at the Helgolander was very good and sufficient. I missed the contact person at the reception at the hotel. Cleanliness is very important here. So all is well. The staff at the Helgoland embassy was very friendly and was able to provide us with all the information...

Love the service, ambience,the taste and variety of the breakfast. For us it is just the mattress that would need to be renewed,but that is nothing unusual for hotels or holiday places in general! We still love it there!
