A very nice, clean, and unique small hotel. The location is also great as there is a forest next to the hotel which is perfect if you love nature. I went for a jogging there and it was relaxing and quiet. Books are everywhere in the hotel, also some are in English. They have a small sauna at the hotel if you need a time to relax. Highly recommended.

Location, interior and service are very good. Reception is bad and Wifi is mediocre, but not exactly required features for a Hotel based on literature, reading and relaxation. The Literaturhotel Franzosenhohl hits the mark on everything it wants to be.

Oh... speechless...what a hotel... located among maple trees... quite and peaceful away from any pollution...5 minutes drive from iserlohn railway station... squeaky clean washrooms and linen...super friendly staff...nice English breakfast...the omelettes were great...lots of books arranged all round the hotel..

Had a great 1 night stay booked a forest view room but asked if it was possible to upgrade to valley view receptionist was very helpful and arranged for us to move rooms nothing seemed to much trouble, evening meal was delicious and breakfast was also very good, looking forward to staying here again, peaceful location with lots of walks and close to the town.

Great little room very quiet, just what you need when your travelling with work and feeling tired WiFi has a great connect and location is good to grab a bite, plenty of pizza and kebab shops if you want something quick or restaurants. Hotel was very tidy clean and welcoming.

Such a great experience. Marcel and the owner are so nice and accommodating. The breakfasts are hearty and tasty. It's a very genuinely German experience. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the wifi is solid. Such a friendly place.

It is a well equipped, big hotel complex, conveniently located in walking distance to central Hagen. Interior is a bit aged, but still in good shape and clean. Hotel staff are very friendly.

Nice hotel in a nice location on the outskirts of Schwerte. The reception is well laid out, staff are attentive and rooms are clean and functional. My only grip is that, there is no blinds in the bathroom so when the sun comes up, it wakes you up irrespective of whether the curtains are closed or not. There is a great pub a hundred metre down the road, and has some fantastic meals available.

Great hotel, everything complete, not much to complain about except the pillows 1 a little small and soft for my taste and the supplement for the dog very excessive.....Parking 1 a little far away. Otherwise the rooms are large and well equipped. The full European breakfast, not just German....

Passing through and with little choice and exorbitant prices everywhere, I came across this magnificent hotel by chance, located not far from the highway. Very large, fully equipped room, same bathroom, nothing to complain about. Hearty and complete breakfast with very good service. Very good night spent.....Just 30€ for the dog supplement is excessive even for a hotel of this category. Perfect welcome...

We stayed 3 nights over a weekend in April in this very nice small hotel. We had a large room in the new building next to the old hosue with the restaurant. The interior including the bathroom was very modern and worked very well. Very little noise from other guests or from the traffic. Breakfast was traditionally German, fresh and delicious.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, das Zimmer modern und sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen.

The building was big and open, outside is a nice walking route behind the carpark, free car park was a great touch, bakery & restaurant down stairs in the main part off the building

This gem of a place is located in the outskirts of Dortmund. The quality of food is very good with lots of Vegetarian options and salads. Their breads are awesome 👌

Location is very good, with private parking at no cost. The sorroudings we neat and silence, near the city center. Breakfast was very good.

We stayed in the big 34m^2 room and it was just amazing. The bed is comfortable, the windows are big and the room is bright. The rooms are very stylish and all in all just beautiful. I had to study there for my national exam, and it was easy to calm down and feel well there. it’s quiet, spotlessly clean and the staff is more than helpful. And the breakfast: AMAZING! Freshly made egg dishes for everyone...

A great new hotel in the centre of Hagen. Nice, service-oriented service. Excellent, well-equipped bathroom with hairdryer, hand cream, soap, shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Capsule coffee maker and tea set in the room. Unfortunately, there is no fridge and I missed a kettle. Also, a cloakroom in the entrance area would be desirable. I did not have breakfast. Overall, highly recommended.

New, modern and well-equipped hotel near the main train station. Friendly, courteous staff. I felt very comfortable in the hotel. However, the breakfast was a bit meager for such a great hotel - points deduction.

Welcoming and caring family business We're staying at Hotel Lex every time we're in the area and can confirm that everybody is being welcomed catered and cared for from the outset. The location is conveniently central and in walking distance from the station. The breakfast is rich and the rooms are larger than normal. Strongly recommended!

If you see fit to pay the former industrial town a visit this is a good place to stay. Comfortable beds, roomy bathroom and a nice breakfast. The reception will help you find your way around should you need it. Try to explore the surroundings, the city centre offers less charms. Recommended.

We were in Dortmund for a wedding and stayed here for one evening. Upon arrival the host was very friendly. He could communicate in English and told us everything we might need to know. Positively surprised . Arrived late evening when dining area was already closed ,asked for any option on buying a tea. Consierge prepared 2 for me and my wife even that wasn't of his duties. Hospitality at the top level.

I stayed at this hotel last year. Overall, it was okay, for the money you pay, don't expect too much. It doesn't belong to the category of establishments I would rate with 4 or 5 stars. The food is okay. As for the staff, you might be used to a cold attitude, but for me, it was fine. I can't say they were overly friendly or accommodating. The spa center was also okay, nothing special compared to hotels...

Amazing hotel and experience. The spa is beautiful and very clean with great views over the lake. Hotel service was very professional and they were able to cater food for my gluten free & nut allergy requests. Only thing in my opinion that let the room down slightly was the aircon not working, tv was difficult to work and pillows were not great, however still a top stay!!

I would have given this Hotel full 5 stars but unfortunately there are some big flaws which is unacceptable when considering the price of the room/food etc. 1. Lovely clean friendly near the town center very enjoyable

Stayed for 1 night in the family room. The room was clean and well managed with beautiful view. 👌 Even though it's a small hotel, the staffs were well trained and very kind. Be aware that there's no elevator in the building. Also, can access to town center in 5 min. by driving.

When in Plettenberg, I always stay in this "Kino" hotel. Very kind personel, better than average food, nice rooms, perfect price. Noone wants more. Best hotel in Plettenberg in my opinion.

Generally, transportation is not convenient

Budget friendly hotel, room was nice. Aircon was loud and didn’t do an awful lot, Bathroom was the best. Bed very comfortable however the bedroom itself wasn’t exactly spacious! Be prepared, no wardrobe or draws of any kind just a rail for hangers. No safe either, bottle of water supplied but room was that disgustingly warm it was warm as there wasn’t a fridge. Well worth the stay if visiting...

We stayed 2 nights as part of a package to see Borussia Dortmund play. The hotel is well outside the city centre however it is conveniently located across the road from a light railway station that had a regular service to the city centre, taking approximately 15 minutes. Staff where friendly and helpful at check in and helped us to move room when we were booked into a double instead of a twin room...

Environment: very good Hygiene: clean and hygienic fully equipped good service

The hotel is really nice and the stuff is friendly. There are a few things that can be improved. Tv didn’t work in our room, and the only one solution was to switch the room. Also, even if the hotel is nearby the main road, you cannot hear anything. One big plus is that they have a charging station for electric cars.

Loved this hotel - after a long day on the road, they took us in quite late in the evening. The hotel was located exactly where we wanted it - it was clean and quiet with loads of extras to make you feel comfortable and at home. Good parking and great breakfast. Would stay again. Thank you.

Stayed here on our drive back to England from Poland. Clean and comfortable hotel well worth the price with free on-site parking. Attached restaurant caters to food allergies (gluten and dairy) and dogs are welcome and treated well (dog bowl and puppy treats in the room). LOVE this hotel. Will definitely stay again on our way through.

A very nice hotel, centrally located with great public transport connections. It was clean, and my room even had its own balcony. The bed was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was a little small but perfectly functional. The only minor improvement would be a mirror in the main room, but otherwise, it was fantastic. I'll definitely be back!

The good: spacious rooms, balcony, close to city center (with car). The bad: no airco, no fridge, no kettle, paid coffee (coffee machine available in room, you have to buy coffee cups from the reception - 1.50 euro a piece). Parking is a mix: there are some parking spaces of the hotel, but the spaces are tight. Couldn't find an available spot each time, but enough free parking spaces on the street...

I've been coming as a private traveler for years and enjoy nice weekends in DO. Quiet yet centrally located. Tasteful furnishings. Delicious breakfast. Loving host family.

For the past 5 years, we like staying here during our conventions. It's very basic, and good enough for a week's stay. Rooms are quite spacious, but you have to share the Bathroom and Kitchen facilities with other guest.

We were touring through Germany and came across the Landgasthof Kleiner, a very pleasant, clean and friendly Hotel in Stockum. The food was good and easy parking outside the Hotel. We managed to fit a it of walking on some of the local trails adjacent to the Hotel as well. Well worth a visit and hopefully we will return again in the future.

A family company with heart and soul. Great rooms and really fabulous cuisine. Unbelievable when you consider that the lady of the house herself cooks everything in the kitchen for several guests at the same time.

We booked here spontaneously for a night in a weekend (with a-year-old baby). Especially the kitchen (chef is mother of the owner's family) was fantastic. Kid's meal request was perfectly interpretated, shared sermon dish as a starter was beautifully separated into two at the dinner without asking, and the special cake on the Easter and homemade bread at the breakfast buffet were specially delicious...

Great Rooms designed with some african decoration and so is the hole Hotel. I was fascinated by it. The only bad thing is that there was no cleaning service for my room , since i stayed for two nights i needed a change of towel unfortunately that service wasn t provided . Otherwise i had a great experience

Incredibly friendly and cozy here... The food is really delicious, especially the salads... The rooms and the house are very rustic and therefore extremely comfortable... The scenic view and this idyll let you relax very quickly come... The hospitality of the Weber family is really nice... You feel very welcome here 😊
