Hotel Das Bayerwald in Lam

I spent a week in the Bavarian Forest as part of a seminar, and I was absolutely thrilled!!

- The staff in the restaurant, at reception, and in housekeeping were incredibly friendly, professional, and very helpful (they even sent my forgotten sleep mask without any fuss). The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I felt incredibly comfortable and at home.

- Even though the room was a bit dated, it was spacious, clean, and the mattress was new.

- The sauna and swimming pool, as well as the option to book massages on-site, are fantastic for wellness and relaxation.

- A particular highlight for me was definitely the food. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, varied, and appealing. Dinner (we had half-board with a four-course meal) was incredible: again, very varied, with large portions and some unusual dishes. Everything tasted amazing, and with a choice of four main courses, there was something for everyone.

The Bayerwald is a truly beautiful place for a vacation in the Bavarian Forest. We booked a therapeutic fast and were very pleased with the support we received during the week. Dogs are also welcome, and it was very easy-going. We couldn't rate the food because it was a therapeutic fast. However, the food smelled very good. We will definitely stop by for dinner sometime. The rooms and the hotel are clean and comfortable, although a bit dated in some places. Nevertheless, we highly recommend the Bayerwald! It was a lovely vacation.

A super cozy hotel with very friendly staff! The welcome was warm and welcoming – you immediately felt welcome. You can tell that the hotel regularly invests in and maintains everything well. Not everything has to be state-of-the-art – the overall package is just right here.

A small heating problem in the bathroom was fixed immediately, which only reinforced the positive impression. The breakfast and evening buffet, which has already been praised several times, were simply excellent, along with the large selection at the salad bar. The quality and taste are truly superb. The seating we were assigned could have been improved...

You simply feel at home here. With so many hotels in the region, the Hotel Bayerwald is definitely a recommendation – the price and quality are right here.

The location is good. The swimming pool and the sauna are quite ok. Despite the lack of staff, the employees tried very hard. The rooms in the main building are no longer brand new and the old carpet in the main building smells very musty. That would have to be fixed.

Great hotel with its own wellness area. Half board is extensive, dinner with plenty of choice and always delicious and attractively prepared.
