I stayed in this hotel more then 5 times, This is absolutely the best hotel in town, In a great location in the old city, very pleasant crew, great breakfast, amazing restaurant (best restaurant in town) Comfortable rooms with a lot of space. Really recommend this hotel

the young staff were very friendly and good (thank you Joshua especially) The restaurant was excellent - we went for NYE dinner and the night before. Restaurant was cosy and food very good. The location is in the city centre so you can walk everywhere easily. Parking is free and next to the entrance.

clean updated rooms nice bathroom. the owner offered us a lift (5min )car drive into old town without us asking!!! he gave short history, recommended good restaurants and was all in all very very friendly111 the breakfast buffett had everything warm and cold juices cafes, fresh fruit salad etc etc. what a very positive experience in this hotel with a very good price!!!!

This is an excellent hotel. The price was very good. The staff and facilities were outstanding. We travel lots worldwide and this is a quality property that I well run. Hats off to the owner/manager and his team.

Thank you Peter for your welcome. We stayed during the heatwave and no air con in our room, so pretty uncomfortable. However, it was clean & we also had parking in the garage. The breakfast was so good, where do you get your bread?!

As an American, I prefer one large bed to 2 twins, which is more typical in independent European hotels, and I find it odd that the front desk is only staffed from 8:00a-noon and 3:00p-6:00p, but these criticisms are cultural and should not be taken as a criticism of the property. Nice "youth hostel" in the oldest town of Baden-Württemberg. In the middle of the city, so convenient ! Check also for their "Fasnet" and never ask there for Karneval/Carnival or even Fastnacht.

I stayed at this pension for 2 nights. The room had all you need for some days visit, small but you don't need more space...in my opinion. HClean, nice staff, pleasant atmosphere!

We stayed at Pension Haas, Rottweil last year during the ADRK Klubschau of August 2012. Pension Haas is a nicely furnished, clean and well cared for Bed & Breakfast, which is administrated personally by Mrs. Haas. The hotel is good looking inside. The room was clean. Bathroom clean. Breakfast was crowded but most probably depends when you go to eat. I could imagine a bottle of water for free.

This is truly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. It might not have a swimming pool or be very large, but the service more than makes up for it. The music in the restaurant is played via an LED triptych, so that depending on the mood, bar lounge music or other topics can be played (almost like live music) ... The room was spacious, a bit old but did the job just right. The shower was a bit too small to my liking. Overall great location, facilities, and cleanliness. But a bit tooo expensive tbh. 160/night in april is Crazy. But so is the world we live in... these pictures were taken from the room balcony !!

I look a bit outdated but very neat, the rooms are clean, the food good, the staff pleasant and unobtrusive. In-room coffee machine and free welcome coffee ... wi-fi is very good 👍

For those who complain you should take a 5* hotel and pay 500€ per day.. this is very nice hotel... rooms are big and nice.. breakfast is unbelivably good..we are now here...first time in Bad Durrheim and we will come again to this hotel...

I loved staying here. The restaurant had amazing food! The rooms were beautiful and it was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in. And the breakfast was absolutely delicious.

We were seated immediately arrival on a Sunday afternoon about 12:30 pm. The waitress was fast and friendly. It was a very german menu with a lot of choices. The service was excellent and the price was reasonable. I would go there again.

Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast buffet is really good and filling. Restaurants are available at walkable distances for lunch and dinner options. Free parking available. I was not happy with the Wellness (massage) services offered within the Hotel. They seemed to have a new website of their own (not yet updated on the Hotel's website) as well as missing several massage options.

Pros: - Staff was friendly and helpful - Breakfast was good Cons: - Most of the hotel looks old (furniture, decorations, etc) - My room was cold when I arrived and it took about two days of heating to get the room temperature to be at an acceptable level - Walls are thin - Wifi is slow and stops working at some points - Elevator was broken the whole week I stayed there

Decent hotel with helpful and kind staff. Hotel is near to the forrest, but Villingen downtown is a bit far, so I recommend coming with a car. Note that reception works only from around 7AM to the around 7PM. Rest of the time key lockbox is in use.

Ok place to crash for a night. I didn't like the thin bed linens, but the room was large and clean. The caretaker leaves at about 9pm, but keys are left out for late arrivers. The breakfast buffet in the morning was small but quite nice, and since we were, as far as I can tell, about the only guests still in the hotel it was quite sufficient! I stopped by this place while on a motorcycle trip. The room was neat and clean, and a small issue with the shower is being corrected. I walked into an obviously top notch restaurant in shorts and a Hoodie and was accepted and received great service. My biker hair and clothing did not fit in 😁 A great place to stop and stay, and ease enjoy the great food.

The food was outstanding, we had the 4 course menu, the asparagus and the lamb with buckwheat were delicious. The service was on point and attentive. Highly recommended, we will comeback for sure.

Whilst the reception area is still a bit of a time capsule and provides a glimpse into the hotel‘s history, the rooms are very modern, tastefully renovated with new bathrooms and modern, simplistic and well designed fittings. Only downside to would be that the rooms have no aircon (at least I didn’t find one) , so hot summer nights could become painful, as keeping the windows open may not be an option...
