Where to stay in Sankt Georgen im Schwarzwald

Nice clean old styled hotel. I did not have time for spa there. No GSM coverage in the area. Their WiFi is also very slow.

Brilliant location- almost felt like a holiday during my drive to the hotel, through tiny villages, brooks across the road-sides, dark woods and all along, powdered with snow. The black forest area intrigues an explorer's interest- it really reminded me of cartoons, seeing the forest section. Reaching the hotel, the views were brilliant from the premises. A new hotel with a nice wellness facility, which includes a Finnish sauna, Hamam Sauna, swimming pool (outdoor & indoor). The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is diverse and tasty. The hotel is pretty far from all the bigger cities, but this is probably the good side of it's location - should be nice area for hiking in summer & winter. Overall very good impression.

I stayed in the rosengarten hotel for a working seminar. The place was great and perfect for working and team building events. The food was delicious and the service really good. I can only recommend this place!

Great room, very good food, but most of all, a friendly staff who cared about our well being and made our stay very enjoyable.

Very nicely renovated restaurant, decorated with love. Really great, super nice service with a 2 meter large menu on wheels! 😂 The homemade spaetzle were a meal in themselves, delicious!! But the rest was delicious too. If we come by again, we'll check back in. 👍🤗

After a hard day of cycling the Krone was a welcome rest are. Very nice clean, spacious rooms, quite and peaceful area, only the cows in the fields around you, farming area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful dinner in the dinning room. The following morning we had a very good German breakfast with plenty of choice to keep you going on the hills.

Super Service, the operation is eingegengen to the wishes of the guests. . The food was delicious. The rooms are very clean, tasteful and appropriate. At any time gladly again...

Really clean, really nice. Very large rooms. Friendly staff. Restaurant and bar was nice and casual to hang out in in the evening. Breakfast buffet was okay.

The hotel itself was really nice. Breakfast ok, fresh fruit and vegetables good quality. 3-4 stars as they triple charge for an electric car charger. A bit rediculose if you consider the price of the room and the electr cost elsewhere.

We loved the hotel so much that we ended up extending our stay for 2 more days. It's definitely kid friendly and has a small spielplatz outside. The staff was very helpful and friendly too. Lots of nice halal restaurants nearby. Triberg city is only 20 minutes away and many other beautiful cities of the black forest are not very far.

Very nice hotel. Modern. Great location. No AC, but thankfully it had cooled down a bit by the time we got there, so wasn't a big deal. Just be aware if staying during hot weather. Staff very nice.

The lady of the house (?) did not entirely grasp the concept of hospitality. The breakfast staff was one amazingly friendly lady.

Absolutely Superior! My husband, adult son, and I traveled in the Black Forest area of Germany for the weekend. We had a glorious fall foliage tour that was extra wonderful with our discovery of the Hotel Kammerer in Sankt Georgen. This hotel cannot be beat! The location and parking are very convenient. Der Bauernhof ist zwar ruhig gelegen. Man kommt aber zu innerhalb kurzer Fahrzeiten zu allerlei Attraktionen in der Umgebung. Der Bäcker ist fußläufig zu erreichen, Gemüse kann man in der Stadt jeden Tag inkl. Sonn- und Feiertage kaufen. Auf dem Bauernhof ist viel für die Kinder geboten: Trampolin, viele Fahrzeuge, Sandkasten, Schaukel etc. In Absprache mit den Inhabern können die Kinder auch im Stall...

We were able to spend a wonderful week on the farm. The landscape is simply wonderful to look at and those looking for peace and relaxation can find it on the Holops. What impressed me even more personally, however, was the warm and familiar manner of the entire family. We immediately felt very comfortable. Thank you for the great time with you 🤗

Breakfast and dinner was generally great. We stayed 3 nights and had both dinners at the restaurant. The hotel has been renovated lately and accessories and furniture is in outstanding status. The room was very comfortable.

Lovely cozy guesthouse in a beautiful location. Very central for most other Black Forest attractions if you’re driving. The food at dinner was amazing, definitely make sure you reserve a table. Also they have a very friendly cat named Apfelstrudel that followed us as we hiked around the local area.

300 hundred years old family house turned in to small hotel with a lovely staff. It's location is far from main road so quite. If ur looking for good relaxing day close to the black Forrest this is a great option amd also the buffet for the breakfast great organic food and fresh

The hosts are so warm and welcoming. We had a fantastic dinner - the best of our trip. Great wine and food. The cakes are incredible! The room was lovely. Just renovated and very comfy and warm. I'd love to come back here!

5 star experience all the way. Location was exotic, surrounded by the forest and snow meadows in winter. Clean rooms with beautiful views. The service is special, they take care of you. Excellent breakfast and lovely pastries. Overall an unforgettable experience staying here for the budget pricing.

Irene Schlender is what made this place wonderful. Her cooking was delicious. Her family was charming. We were going to come back but alas she is no longer working there so I will take one star away for that.

Nice hotel at the top of hill. It's great if you have a car as it is more than 20 minutes from MarketPlatz. The host lady is very nice and helpful. There is a nature trail which starts on the hill right in front of the hotel and takes you rut o the waterfall. It takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour. You may face issue with mobile network (at least I can say for Lebara) in some rooms. Wifi isn't the best...

Outdated but clean rooms. We had a family room with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Everything was clean and for a very good price (therefore I don't mind the outdated furniture). I've seen just one person from the staff. We wanted to check out and she kept on the phone for more than 10 minutes while we were waiting. Not friendly! Otherwise I would have given 4 stars.

We had a large 2 bedroom for 4 people. It was comfy, but the furniture didn't match. We had an early train and the receptionist was trying to help us with a taxi but there aren't any available before 7am. The hotel is also on a high, steep hill unlike the other hotels so we had to carry all of our lugagge to the train station, which wasn't fun. Next time we will stay by the train station. This is a great hotel. It is wonderful if you have kids because of the large family rooms, indoor pool, and game room. The owners are very welcoming, and will ensure you have the best stay possible. The other great aspect is the hotel is close to Triberg center without paying the Triberg prices.

Lovely place to have some lunch, i sat at the garden/terrace area. Very good vibes. Food was decent, ordered fish for lunch that came with spinach, creamy sauce and boiled potatoes. Really enjoyed the meal and the service. Would definitely come here again.

The room has an amazing view! We sat there for so long just chilling and enjoying the view. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is great too!! Few mins walk to the waterfall. Includes free tix to the waterfall which is only a few mins walk away!

We found Hotel Ketterer to be a great place to stay. We arrived too early to check in, but the staff held our luggage and ensured we obtained our Guest card to facilitate our visit to the waterfalls and museum. It is a family owned restaurant since a long time. The pan fried fish with buttered potatoes was amazing. They do serve a lot of vegetarian food, we tried the vegetarian patty which was really good. Their black forest cake is the second best I have had in the last 9 years! One star reduced since the customer service could be better.

The hotel is not very well appointed and the cafe seemed very light and not very welcoming. The staff are very helpful though.

It only gets 4 stars for the wonderful young people who served us. The Hotel is located in the central part of the town and has some beautiful features. It’s important to mention that the staff was so so lovely, very friendly and hardworking. As for management, we are not so sure. Beautiful place but needs a little bit more ‚love‘. It’s outdated and ready for some refurbishment. The spa area is lovely...

Excellent old hotel located in a beautiful Black Forest town of Triberg. We got a wonderful large room with a larger bathroom including a jacuzzi bath in the main building. Awesome. The hotel has a great Wellness and Spa area, well designed and all in perfect operational order. Sauna land area is only allowed to be unclothed. Great pool, jacuzzi, many dry and wet saunas, resting area on water beds...

An excellent place to stay at in this small town. Cozy rooms, food at breakfasts is great, good location. Special thanks to the staff, extremely helpful! We needed some hot water late at night twice, they were very nice to get it for us. The only downside is that they don't have an elevator. Otherwise, this is a perfect place. Highly recommend!

Very nice place with large rooms and private guest parking. Enjoy the bar and restaurant at hotel or several other locations within walking distance to widen your selection. Spa and pool help relax the body after a walk to Germany's largest water fall(free to hotel guests) or a few hours of climbing in the trees on a recreational rope obstacle course 15 meters in the air.

Such a beautiful restaurant. Nice and friendly service, food selection is ok. A bit disappointed with the famous black forest cake there, kind of dry. But overall, we still enjoyed it.

Very pleasant hotel with spacious , clean and comfortable rooms. The staff, particularly the young lady on reception, were friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and dinner in the restaurant was faultless and extremely tasty.

Location is superb, check-in is too late..cannot wait such a long time after long journeys..better to check this for a better customer service.

The views from this hotel are fantastic. We were here after it had snowed, and it was like we were in a Christmas postcard! The breakfast, which is included in your stay, is phenomenal. My only little complaint is that the blackout curtains are really more for decoration. They don't span all the way across the windows. They had all of the balconies decorated with lights, which was cute...from the outside...

The place is quite cozy and the woman that attended me was patient and kind. The availability of the different dishes was not too extended, but I had for lunch the Frikadelle and the Wursdtsalad and they were delicious, as well as not so expensive. I recommend to stop by!

Wonderful location next to the lake overlooking a nice playground. So we could stay warmly indoor while our kids are play happily outside. Everything we ordered were super tasty and comes in very generous portion, also great wine and very lovely and friendly service. All 4 of us enjoyed it very much. Also thank you for letting me tried on the bollenhut. :-)

Beautifully located right next to a lovely little pond/lake with nice seating and good staff. The food here was great, one of us having the flank steak and the other the rump, the flank steak was the definite favourite. The food was well seasoned, with good quality ingredients and reasonably priced ($$). Staff were friendly and it was an evening to be enjoyed sitting here with the view over the water

We stopped because this place has the highest rating for a restaurant open before 5PM and after normal lunch time. The staff was very friendly and immediately made us comfortable upon arriving. Great location for couples or families in the rolling hills away from noisy road traffic. Just a short drive to Triberg and and hour away from Freiberg. We loved the traditional German Breakfasts and Dinner menus. We did not leave hungry. Plenty of free parking available. The outdoor wading \ spa pool and indoor pool were wonderful. The Host was wonderful, spoke English, even let us practice our German...
