Hotel Federwerk

An amazing Hotel located a short distance (15 mins) away from Triberg. World class amenities and tasteful decor, right from the lobby through to the restaurant and rooms. The hotel also takes every effort towards sustainability.
We requested for a crib in the room for our infant. We were pleasantly surprised when we found several baby products and a diaper pail in the room. Top marks for thoughtfulness.
Beware , the facility is not air-conditioned, which was a minor inconvenience since we visited during very high temperatures.

Nice and big rooms.

I sat at the restaurant/bar area for over an hour one evening and nobody came over to check if I wanted anything to drink. My colleague had to walk over to the bar to order. Not the service I'm used to.

Nice modern place in idyllic location in the black forest with modern rooms and nice views all around. Service was ok, but can be improved. There was an event happening at one of the evenings during our stay. We asked for a coffee as guests there and got send away. I understand the restaurant is closed due to the event but it should be possible to arrange a cup of coffee for the hotel guests if customer service is made a priority.

You can tell whoever put this place together cares a great deal about their hotel. It is well-maintained, beautiful, and an absolute gem in the black forest. We have stayed at quite a few places since arriving in Germany and this has by far been our most favorite. We were greeted kindly upon checking in and every time we interacted with anyone, the breakfast was also great and the rooms were very nice. All around an incredible hotel with an awesome view of the surrounding town.

Very comfortable and nice rooms. Friendly staff. As a person with a lot of allergies this hotel was super. I would stay there again if I happen to travel this area.

We enjoyed our stay very much and the overall experience was a really pleasant one. We want to highlight the impeccable cleaning service of the room and the very friendly staff at the reception who was always helpful in any situation.

The hotels interior is lovely and modern, both the rooms and the restaurant. We also enjoyed the nicely equipped gym as well. Things that we missed at this hotel was a real lobby where the guests can spend time. Now the only place to hang out was the restaurant, which works when it is open. But sundays it is closed and with rooms that only feature a bed but no sofa or comfortable chairs it was a bit of a challenge to just spend some relaxing time at the hotel. There where some chairs in the hallways but those weren’t really inviting since it was drafty there and a high traffic area by the elevator. Another thing the rooms lacked was a electric water heater/ coffee machine, because of the same reason as above, the restaurant is not always available to buy stuff. It was nice that the hotel provided soap and shower gel etc but the quality of those products should be improved upon.

We did not try the a la carte food of the restaurant but the breakfast had a good selection of products and the staff was always present to tidy the buffet. There is a few things that could be improved upon. One is the staffs training and service skills. It happened to us several times that we ordered a simple beverage e.g earl grey tea and the service responded with ”What is that, I don’t know it” despite it being clearly stated in the menue. Even if the staff was new it makes me question the training in the products they sell and service attitude overall. Its a shame because this hotel is great but things like that really impact the overall experience. Somehow it seemed like not everything was running smoothly. One thing we reacted too that the breakfast was booked extensively some days for external guests not staying at the hotel. Our experience was that we as hotel guests should have been treated better like having our table reserved instead that was done for the external booked people but thw house guests were told to ”sit where there is space ” and some (not us) even had to wait to be able to eat. Those days the quality of the breakfast sank, the staff clearly overwhelmed with the amount of people, not able to bring out enough food and it vanished immediately.

In that regard I’d really like for the management to take a look at how the breakfast experience can maintain a good quality for hotel guests when they book so many external guests at the same time.

Overall we really loved our stay at the hotel despite of those small issues and we will definitely be back next time. Nothing is ever perfect but the important thing is we felt at home here and our stay was lovely and pleasant

Rooms are very spacious, hotel has good facilities. Breakfast spread is very good. Evening meals are to a high standard. Hotel is very clean and well organised. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Recommend.

Great hotel, big rooms. We got the ground floor room, spacious and great for kids. Hotel has big outdoor and also indoor parking. Multiple electric chargers available, it happened to be that one of the outdoor charger for electric vehicles (22KW) was not working during the weekend, but we still managed with the other one as it was not crowded. Hotel has 2 or 3 indoor chargers as well. It costs 15 euros to use it once. Restaurant is inside the hotel and you get freepass card for the visits in the region. Overall super happy with our choice, we had great long weekend and will come back again in near future. Greetings to the stuff and lovely personnel for their service.

Absolutely STUNNING hotel! From the beautiful hardwood floors to the sleek and modern shower, this hotel was a masterpiece. Heated bathroom floors were a plus! The hotel restaurant was delicious. Looking forward to our next visit!
