Great place to stay in staufen. Accommodated my late check in and breakfast was great too. Shame I could not stay longer.

A hotel with view of the Staufen castle. Nice and spacious rooms. Though the breakfast is no as good as there other Hotel Lowen.

We stayed for a week and were very satisfied. The breakfast was rich, regional and fresh. Wishes were, if possible, immediately fulfilled. The manager of the house is a person full of warmth and friendliness. The room was comfortably furnished and clean. A halogen lamp in the bathroom was broken and was immediately replaced... Great! We'd love to come back...

Great staff. Rooms were comfortable with plenty of space to work, and the bathroom was entirely redone. This is a typical, traditional family-run German hotel. Dedicated parking was a blessing. Quiet and clean, fits. Couldn't use the breakfast included in the price due to lack of time. People are friendly, what more could you want !!

Very warm welcome, beautiful pleasant studio

Great place, beautiful and clean rooms, excellent cuisine. The best value of this house, however, is the team. From the boss through the chef to the service, they all live customer orientation in perfection.

Hotel located just opposite the Vita Classica thermal baths. Perfect welcome, a small cocktail is offered to you upon your arrival. The rooms are spacious (small kitchenette in our case) very quiet. A little note for you when you arrive in your room, some trout and a drink. The staff is very friendly and at your service. We will return without hesitation!

Great place and German. People were extremely helpful. Johann was the best! On his way home he gave us a short tour of Freiburg.

Nice rooms and good breakfast. They have an underground parking which is quite narrow and difficult with big cars. If you have problems or the underground parking is full ask at the reception and they will help you. Nice view from the roof. No minibar in the rooms but there are drinks at the top floor in a fridge.

Since we are in hotels a lot, I think I can judge what is on offer. From the outside, the impression is unspectacular at first, as is the entrance area and hallways. Directly in the hotel next to the reception there is a kebab shop INSIDE, you don't have to find it good, but it doesn't bother you and if you are hungry a pizza without a long way is certainly not wrong in the evening. We had 5 wonderful days at the hotel Zur Sonne in the spa town of Badenweiler. We felt really welcome and at home. We had an outstanding tasting menu of 4 courses. The flavours in each dish delicate and balanced and beautifully presented. The service was excellent and the ambiance warm and pleasant. The monkfish served on a bed of black lentils was delicious and visually interesting. It was a special event to celebrate - Women in wine, with winemaker Johanna Bernhart presenting excellent local wines.

The Zur Sonne Romantik Hotel is amazing. Tom the chef and his wife Catinka made my friend and I completely at home! Last Minute decision on a Saturday in September to Book a room in this hotel. The procedure of reservation was simple and check in also. Just like in the pre internet days. Good, quiet place, to France 2 hours on foot, to Switzerland 4 hours on foot. We lived and worked here in the summer of 2020. The building is closed to visitors, repairs are underway, hot water is not everywhere, there is no gas, they cooked on electric stoves. The sewerage in the shared kitchen does not work. 9 € per day is deducted from the salary. Everything else is fine.

This hotel has held the tradition of "old world charm" blended with a lovely modern spa/pool. A treat to see their collection of antiques!

A busy spa hotel. Small swimming pool but lots of other spa facilities. Food was fantastic and waiting staff very efficient, if a bit stern at times. We had an upgraded room as there was a small problem with our original room which we very much appreciated. It was in a nice area with lots of good walks and parks in the vicinity. Very clean rooms and facilities.

Nice hotel in a very quiet village, perfect for a peaceful getaway. The staff is very kind and welcoming. Two points that deserve real improvement are the parking space availability and the messages (which were of poor quality for the price, real shame!)

Very enjoyable old songs from 70s and 80s the golden era of music of this type and other genres using above all electric instruments which gave a whole new sound. This set was acoustic with some effects added but effective and enthusiastic singers from a local duo from Lorrach. Audience mainly over 60 participated eagerly to experience a bit of nostalgia myself included !

My husband and I recently indulged in the Roman Paradise package at Fini Resort Badenwiller, and overall, it was a delightful experience. The Hotel Alte Post is a fantastic place. We stayed in a very comfortable and quiet room. Upon our arrival after, a long day in the car, we were welcomed with a glass of local wine. The breakfast has something for everyone and the hotel’s bio ethos means that everything is locally sourced. Is is simply fantastic!

Comfortable stay in friendly hotel Friendly hotel with spacious rooms but very small bathrooms (larger people might struggle in this tiny space). Breakfast buffet was good with plenty of choices and locally produced organic drinks available.
