We were guests at the Strandhotel Gerken at the beginning of December. The hotel is beautifully located right on the promenade. The room we had had a few small weaknesses, but they hardly detracted from the really good overall impression. There are hardly any shelves for washing utensils in the bathroom area. We were there at coffee time. We had to wait 10-15 minutes for the service to give us the first comb. At least 4 tables were not cleared, it took 25 minutes for the dirty dishes to be cleared away. It didn't make us feel very welcome. Unfortunately, the radio is on in the background all the time. The hotel has a great lounge with a sea view. The keeper is having fun and it's bursting from every pore of his being, we really enjoyed being his guests! The service is great, the cocktails are well-intentioned and the chat is warm. At New Year's there was a glass of champagne on the house from the boss himself.

Breakfast offered a great choices of items, including fish. Dinner was nicely composed. Staff was very friendly. Room with an amazing view of the sea

Fantastic location right on the beach, very friendly and helpful staff, one of the best breakfast buffets we've had with delicious fresh fruits and excellent coffee, evening meals were also superb. Very bad internet. You could hardly use Facebook l😂😂😂 let alone Netflix ! So bad I use my own data to connect to others devices ! Often no internet. Staff are quite friendly.

We just had dinner this night and tge food was delicious. Service was absolutely ok. I deduct one star for the price ranges, but that is usual for Wangerooge.

Very nice, familiar hotel, especially if you like horses. Our dog was welcome. Rich breakfast. My daughter will remember the riding lesson.

Very nice single room, the bathroom not modern, but functional. There was a large and attractive breakfast buffet, as well as friendly staff. I especially enjoyed the carriage ride with the very personable coachman and beautiful Frisians!

Good morning! The price-performance ratio is just right! Rooms are clean and after breakfast you go the first round full! Parking spaces always available! The hotel is ideal! Bicycle storage free with ramp! I've been going there for years! Greetings to Ms. Kraus and the nice staff!

I thought it was very nice there, very clean. The breakfast was also great, a large selection and you were served directly. There were also enough parking spaces. Everything went smoothly. I would like to go on vacation in the hotel again 🙂

Very nice little cozy hotel! The welcome was very warm and really nice. The rooms are large and very tastefully decorated. You feel right at home in the cozy room. The breakfast room also looks very nice ... The breakfast itself is very tasty! If you can't find anything, it's your own fault 😉 ... there is something for everyone from fish, cheese, sausage and and and. In addition, everyone is very attentive...

Only stayed two nights, but we really liked it. Net, friendly and helpful. Totally quiet, but it depends on the guests.

First impression is very good, might even get five Stars before we leave..

Top quality gastronomy. Thought this had died out in Germany.. Very pleasantly surprised and prices that are absolutely affordable.

We stayed at the Hotel Leuchtfeuer for a short break and were pleasantly surprised. The service and friendliness of the staff was great. The breakfast and dinner also left nothing to be desired. We will definitely come back again.

Super nice room (the suite) In the middle of the village square, you are super central. The room was very clean, nicely decorated and had a very nice balcony. The staff was nice and the breakfast was delicious with a lot of choice. The counter invites you to sit in the evening. I can only recommend.

A cozy, homy, and best place to stay in Horumersiel. Even probably the best place in Nordsee, or Northsee. They have a restaurant too, near the hotel, that also great with their recommended cuisine.

Very friendly staff, who reacted very flexibly to our short-term booking request. The rooms are decently equipped, but partly a bit outdated, but adequate. The location, on the other hand, is perfect, directly behind the dyke, and you are just a few steps away from the water.

We felt completely comfortable and would love to come back. Super friendly staff, you feel right at home and warmly welcomed into the family! Everything is super clean! Wonderfully quiet location, lovingly designed gardens for use. Very appealing, clean holiday apartment, stylishly and modernly furnished with the latest technical standards. Landlord extremely prudent, friendly and very important to us animal-friendly. Always happy.

I had the honor of being a guest here for a week. I booked here at short notice in September 2021. Room and bathroom was quite small. But: On request I was provided with a coffee maker and a kettle. Great for kids... You can always ride from 10am to 6pm. Lots of rides for kids. Nice playground. Kids can move around the yard very well on their own and freely. Very pleasant experience here. Rooms are spacious, very clean and quiet with green surroundings but centrally located. In only a couple of minutes you can ride a bike to the old town of Jever. Staff is very friendly and helpful, full recommendation, we will come back.

Have been a regular at the hotel for many years. Quiet location, sufficient parking space, very friendly staff and a full breakfast buffet speak for themselves as a price-performance ratio. The hotel is not booked out quickly for nothing. It was a pleasure.

Was only there for one night as a temporary solution, but felt very comfortable. As others write, the decor is very old-fashioned and clocked, but in the room and in the restaurant at breakfast everything was very well-kept and clean. The owners are super nice and gave me a warm welcome and service. At breakfast I also missed fruit and vegetables, but nothing else was missing and everything was delicious...

Wonderful little hotel with great sense of style and comfort. Located at the town centre of Esens this little gem offers exquisite hospitality. Large rooms are stylish and so comfortable we had a hard time getting back out! Balconies add extra comfort, cleanliness is a matter of course. So is free WiFi. Even pets are welcome!
