Fantastic location right on the beach, very friendly and helpful staff, one of the best breakfast buffets we've had with delicious fresh fruits and excellent coffee, evening meals were also superb. Restaurant has a great view of the beach. We stayed in a suite with view of the iconic historic lighthouse and the Wadden Sea with a side view of the North Sea. Beds were very comfortable. We're looking forward to our next trip!

We were there at coffee time. We had to wait 10-15 minutes for the service to give us the first comb. At least 4 tables were not cleared, it took 25 minutes for the dirty dishes to be cleared away. It didn't make us feel very welcome. Unfortunately, the radio is on in the background all the time. The table decoration looks dried out (which is difficult with plastic flowers)

However, after the order was placed, it was at the table very quickly.

Breakfast offered a great choices of items, including fish. Dinner was nicely composed. Staff was very friendly. Room with an amazing view of the sea

We had wonderful days on the island as a family. After deprivation through the Corona period and serious illness, it was a gift for us. First and foremost, we are grateful to Hotel Gerken! A sea view suite right on the beach. You can hardly get closer to the North Sea! The suite was clean, tastefully decorated and even when you shower you can see the North Sea. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired.
Our compliments go to the entire staff of the hotel. With the amount of people arriving and departing every day, you do a great job with friendliness and competence!
We'll be back for sure!

Great place to go on vacation, right on the beach. A bit old, but very charming and absolutely clean.
Courteous staff and beautiful, bright rooms.
There was sun all day on our balcony.
We'll definitely be back.
