Hotel garni "Alte Warener Zeitung" in Waren

The location of the hotel is very central and parking in the underground car park is very practical. However, for a 4-star hotel in this price range, the service and cleanliness can be improved. When booking the room, a voucher was requested, but this comment was not taken into account. The greeting or farewell was quite simple both at check-in and check-out. They didn't even ask if they enjoyed their stay, let alone wish them a safe journey home. Our double room facing the lake was in need of renovation in many places, for example the chipped paint on the walls or the scratched fitting on the sink. Unfortunately there were cobwebs all over the ceiling and dark hairs in one corner of the bathroom. Nevertheless, we felt comfortable in the room and were able to sleep well in the comfortable bed. We liked the breakfast best in the entire hotel, and the service was also very friendly. The hotel has a lot of potential, but could use a breath of fresh air in both the service and the rooms. In the current situation we would unfortunately prefer other hotels due to the price-performance ratio.
