Hotels in Brena Baja

I've been there 4 times (altogether 9 weeks!). Clean rooms, good food and the hiking tour busses stop right in front of the hotel! The beach and two scuba places are in walking distance

Rooms are clean and comfortable but the hotel is quite dated. Looks like the carpets and furniture haven't been replaced in about 30 years. The breakfast food was fine but not great. Staff are friendly.

It's quite a luxurious place. With plenty of bars and services. However.. They wi-fi only works in the lobby, the elevators are loud and feels unsafe, the lunch and dinner is lackluster (the breakfast is okay). I think it's a great place for elderly people, since there was a lot of them... In the end it's not a place to bring your family, but if you're an elderly couple lookong for a relaxing vacation...

Great overall experinece, the all inklusive is generous and the staff is helpful and accomodating. When I go to La Palma again H10 Taburiente will be my choise.

The hotel is very nice, my wife and I stayed here in May 2016. There was some refurbishment work being carried out but this didn't impact our stay. The food was excellent, the staff are very courteous and eager to help. The rooms have the usual equipment and facilities with nice views, be it mountains or the sea.

Great service and beautiful garden. Room was a bit dated and had a weird smell, but overall we had a great time staying there.

Such a wonderful place. Had a great time staying there and I will definitely go back at some point. Really great hotel, with pool, good food and service. Surprised it's only a 3-star hotel. Particularly loved all the resident animals (Lola the parrot, turtles, cats, and more)!

Lovely low rise buildings surrounding beautiful gardens and a large salt water swimming pool. Four star standard but only rated 3 star because no a la carte menu or lunch is provided. Substantial breakfast and evening meal buffets however make half board stays a good choice. Access to the black volcanic beach via a side door adds another option. Also a smattering of small shops and restaurants nearby...

Great aparthotel. Excellent service at reception, lovely rooms, grounds and pool in a great position near the beach. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our family stay here. Had two rooms, another for our teenage daughters. Rooms are basic but are clean with a small kitchen area and bathroom soap, shampoo etc. Went half board for two nights, breakfast plentiful with many options. Dinner again there was always something, fish, steak etc. Staff were very efficient apart from check in at 5pm which was a bit hectic, another staff member...

A very good opportunity in La Palma. Good location, beautiful garden, nice pool. Better to forget the sauna. Good breakfast

A very nice restaurant that is part of a nice hotel. The views towards the ocean, Santa Cruz de La Palma and the mountain from the terrace of the restaurant are amazing. It is also OK to stop during the day just for a coffee at the bar, which is very nice as well.

Lovely hotel with nice view from up the hill. They grow everything in their own garden. It is good to come with family. Close to airport (10€ taxi), to city center (10€ taxi) and to the beach. A little expensive.

Good location to visit the Island, near the airport, Santa Cruz, etc. Colonial-style mansion, with a curious, ornate decoration, which nevertheless gives good results. The best thing is the attention you receive, advice for each day to make plans and routes on the Island, etc. Good breakfasts, prepared at the moment. The rooms for my taste somewhat uncomfortable, both the beds and especially the bathrooms...

the house is nice, it's authentic but that had a consequence, the bathroom was sometimes stinky with a stench of sewers; but the biggest complain is about the process in booking.com where i reserved 2 triples for 6; however, upon arrival they were only expecting 4; 2 in each room; how can that be? who was at fault? booking.com or the property? in any case, who had to pay the damage? that's right, it...

We have spent a wonderful weekend in a very quiet rural setting with beautiful views. The best, without a doubt, the copious and delicious breakfasts that they have prepared for us. The lady has been very kind to us at all times. The house is very beautiful, it is very well cared for. Ideal if you want to stay in an authentic Canarian house among banana trees. We will be back soon

The house is beautiful but IMO the furniture and decoration in the rooms are outdated. The garden looked quite abandoned.

Yes the hotel was a bit older, but despite that it was clean and we loved staying here. The breakfast is okay. We would definitely come back here.

We stayed in the bernas garden apartments for two weeks without breakfast and dinner. The apartment was cleaned every day except of Thursdays and Sundays. Towels were changed twice a week and bed sheets were changed once a week. The apartment had a balcony towards the east and a terrace towards the west side. The sleeping room came with a small heater which was needed since we stayed here during February...

Rooms are adequate . Bit remote really do need a car . Best book car in advance as first 3 we tried were fully booked . Food in restaraunt was just about warm . Had to go in kitchen and use microwave . No resteraunts within walking distance . No footpaths on road to san pedro . Take a torch at night .

I was slightly worried about this hotel after the reviews I read. I wanted somewhere basic to stay with no frills and this gave us just that. The bathroom was clean with fresh towels and the maid swept and mopped the rooms each day. It was such a peaceful place to be with a wonderful outlook to the sea. We were up in the mountains and loved watching the shooting stars overhead. We didn't eat at the...

Good little hotel for the price. Very helpful staff. You do need a car to enjoy the location at it's best. Very quiet. Bed's comfortable. kitchen reasonable with plates ,cutlery and even a corkscrew 😋. Would definitely return for longer next time.

Well-equipped holiday home with great outdoor / pool area and very nice hosts. Unfortunately quite dark, damp and dusty inside the house.

Everything as always a spectacle. 100% tranquility. Everything clean, beautiful. Comfortable and warm beds. The garden patio is wonderful. Just as a downside, the bath towels would be nice if they were a little bigger. Maggie and Álvaro and Piqué the kitten hosts 10!

A very quiet place with spectacular views, with a swimming pool, barbecue, laundry, parking, surrounded by plants and fruits, very beautiful.

Ideal accommodation, surrounded by beautiful gardens, totally quiet, with spectacular views and a very pleasant pool. The welcome was very friendly and he advised us where to eat and places to visit. The accommodation has a good assortment of kitchen tools, several clean towels per person, television, etc. Without a doubt we totally recommend it and I am sure we will return.

What a wonderful place. The garden is amazing, calm and the owner is full of good advices. It s very central, close to Santa Cruz, but you can also drive to all the main hiking startpoint.

Beautiful hotel located in the middle of the banana fields, yet in Tazacorte. Very friendly staff, thanks to Marta for the great welcome and farewell, as well as to Linda (Italian dinner waitress, not 100% sure of her name) for the personalized dinner service. Dinner was very good (just missing some supervision and service basics such as water, wine and bread service). Interesting experience, however...

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The location was superb and the interior and gardens were exceptional. I've marked the room and service down because it would have been nice to have had a coffee machine in the room and we found the bar facilities were a bit hit and miss. 5 stars for location because it felt very unspoilt by tourism.

Unique and beautiful property with gorgeous grounds. The hotel is in the middle (literally) of a banana plantation yet you can easily walk up the hill where there are multiple different dining options. The staff here makes all the difference - warm, welcoming and accommodating. The reason for the four stars on the room is the mattress was much too hard for me - realize that is a personal taste but...

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The interior furnishing is a collection of antique pieces of wildy varying periods and geographic origin... not always perfectly fitting, but interesting and sometimes funny does it create a really inviting atmosphere. Everyone was extremely friendly and competent, we felt very welcome. The hotel is unique, the location beautiful and the staff wonderful. OH yes...

Excellent hotel and amazing staff- outstanding service. Came there for UTMB race, manager offered early breakfast for all runners himself. The staff was on early morning to support taxi booking and all other requests. Very relaxing atmosphere in the hotel, pool, jacuzzi, massage. Very good kitchen and selection of wines. If I am back in La Palma I would definitely revisit this hotel. Thank you!

My girlfriend and I stayed for four days and were blown away. The hospitality, decor and rooms were some of the best I have ever seen. The atmosphere makes you feel personally looked after, regardless of how many/little questions you have. If you are looking to unplug and relax, the tropical grounds will do it as soon as you step foot in the back patio area. Hacienda de Abajo is the best of La Palma...
