Hospes Palacio del Bailio Hotel

This is likely one of the nicest and most architecturally interesting places I’ve stayed. The building itself is an old palace with beautiful architecture, including Roman ruins visible below the dining area. The rooms and amenities were beautiful and well maintained. Also, the Roman baths and pool area were both great for escaping the heat of the day. Convenient walk to all the key sites. Also, the staff were very friendly and responsive. I would absolutely stay again.

we loved our stay! professional and kind staff all around and a beautiful property. there were special touches like the cava upon arrival. the bed was comfortable, room gets super dark for sleeping well, quiet area.

perfectly located to walk Cordoba, 15 minute walk to the Mezquita, Roman Bridge, Jewish quarter.

we took advantage of the one hour in the roman baths- what a treat! it was not crowded (it’s a relatively small space) and we were able to linger. we were not pressured to get a spa treatment.

we made a reservation months ago at the restaurant, Alberquina, but were disappointed that there was an event in the dining room that is above the roman ruins. I wish the hotel would have let me know, we would have switched to the next night when it reopened for dinner. If that matters to you, I would check. we did still have a delightful dinner, just not the “experience” that drew us to it.

last thing- do watch the you tube they send on how to arrive- it was so helpful. parking is valet on site. very convenient (€29/ night).

Staying at this hotel in Córdoba was hands down one of the best experiences my brother and I have ever had! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Juanjo, who is without a doubt one of the nicest people I have ever met. His kindness and enthusiasm truly made our trip unforgettable.

Juanjo went above and beyond to outline the best things to do in Córdoba, from hidden gems in the old town to must-see spots like the Mezquita. He also gave us incredible recommendations for the best local restaurants where we enjoyed some of the most delicious food of our lives. Every suggestion was spot-on and really made our time here special.

The hotel itself was fantastic—clean, comfortable, and centrally located—but what really sets it apart is the personalized service and genuine hospitality from the staff, especially Juanjo. If you’re visiting Córdoba, staying here is an absolute must. 10/10, highly recommend!

It was a very nice hotel and near the major attractions. Lovely dining room, outdoor / indoor pools and great service for a 5 star hotel.

Tasting menu is great and delicious, but too much food that I can’t finish. Waitress is nice to box some of them for lunch next day.

Issue & suggestion:
My major issue is my room are on the ground floor and next to street. I can’t sleep at night because of the noise from the street (motor cycle, car and pedestrian).

Another issue is I would like to have a salad no protein. It seemed to be difficult to have in Cordoba and Valencia Hotel Hospes.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of the old city. Easy walking access to main sites, but away from noise of the touristic zone. Excellent service from the moment of arrival; our room, a “junior suite”, was huge, with comfortable furniture and modern, excellent bath facilities. Breakfast was very good, and the breakfast/dinner room itself if very interesting for sits look (through the floor!) at uncovered Roman ruins. Unfortunately we did not have time to enjoy the Roman baths or the pool, but both looked like worthy fits to the luxury vibe of the hotel. The hotel is somewhat expensive, but worthy of the extra spend.

Everything was amazing down to every detail. This is such a tranquil hotel in the midst of the city. You feel like you’re in paradise. The only thing I would say is the rooms need to have conditioner in the shower.

Our stay at Palacio del Bailio was exceptional. The room was tastefully decorated and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a wide variety of healthy and delicious choices. The Roman baths and facial (with Christina) in the spa were some of the highlights.

Beautiful and historical hotel in the center of Cordoba. Service was excellent! We got a luxury suite room, one of the biggest room in the hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was the best! I would love to come back again to this hotel!

We did a trip from Porto down to Marrakech and Casablanca, and this was one of our favorite and most memorable stays. The grounds are gorgeous, staff is incredible, and amenities like I haven’t seen elsewhere before. The Roman ruins displayed below the restaurant with a glass floor is incredible. And the thermae/baths are so much fun. Love to have a cold plunge pool to recoup after a long, very hot day of sightseeing/walking.

You can tell the hotel staff care about the property and guest experience.

Definitely worth your time to stay here.
