Steps from one of the entrances of Le Mezquita, 6 minutes walk to the Roman Bridge and Juderia de Cordoba is just a couple of minutes from the hotel

Nice place to stay in Córdoba, I truely enjoy the room which is big and clean

This was my second time staying at Hotel Mezquita, located right next to the famous mosque-cathedral. My first visit was in 2022, shortly after travel resumed following the pandemic. I had a room with a view of the Mezquita, and it was magical. This time, my room faced the elegant patio, which was also charming in its own way. As before, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. They assisted me in finding the statue of the philosopher Ibn Rushd, for which I’m very grateful. It’s located near the old city wall.

I was especially excited to find the statue. I was searching for it as part of an investigation into a theory proposed by my neighbor, Douglas Mikkelson, a retired Professor of History at the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo. He believes that the three figures in Giorgione’s painting The Three Philosophers represent the Muslim jurist Averroes (Latinized Ibn Rushd), the Jewish rabbi Maimonides, and the Catholic priest Thomas Aquinas. I find this theory both beautiful and highly credible. There is also a statue of Maimonides in Córdoba, and I’m sure the hotel staff would be happy to help you locate it. Unfortunately, I lost my phone and couldn’t take any pictures. But I plan to return to Córdoba to continue my research, and I’ll certainly stay at Hotel Mezquita again.

Excellent value hotel. Comfy beds situated 20 yards from entrance to mosque. Plenty of bar’s nearby our favourite El Barón.

Great art hotel in the heart of Córdoba.

The hotel is in perfect locaiton and looks very nice. The service is also good. The furniture is a bit too simple but worths the price.

Great rooms and location. The inside is also decorated very well with original paintings and accessories.
