Crisol Jardines de Córdoba Hotel

I paid 135€ (with a discount of 15€ already included and without meals) to stay in this hotel for one night. Fortunately, it was only one night. It was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. For those who want to rest or sleep, it's not possible: the bathroom drips, people slam doors all night with no respect for anyone, you can hear everything between rooms (I heard not only the neighbor's sex, but also the alarm clock from 6am to 7am). A hell of random noises that didn't let me sleep a wink. I'm sorry!

We came with the tour group.

The room was okay but the dinner was terrible..
We ended up eating again at another restaurant in the same hotel. Pretty average.

Unfortunately we expected to have a much better experience at this hotel than we did. It is advertised as a resort so we expected the rooms to be as nice as the lobby and common areas. It requires a lot of updating, which we expected based on pictures and other reviews. What we did not expect was the AC to be extremely weak which prevented us from sleeping comfortably due to the heat. The room smelled like cigarettes despite the no smoking signs. The beds very uncomfortable and hard. Minimal hot water in the shower in the morning. This is unacceptable for a 4 star hotel advertised as a resort. We did not complain to the staff about changing the room as we were staying for only one night. We considered asking for a new room initially due to the smell and in retrospect we should have. Did not realize the AC issue until the middle of the night when the room just would not cool down but at that point why switch rooms. Would not stay here again and would not recommend this to anyone either. I have no idea why it has any good ratings. 15 min drive to Cordoba downtown and hotel has a parking lot which is a plus.

Pros: Big lobby, posh. Bed is not so hard, bearable. Gives a box of water per person. Near bus stations, about 10 minutes walk. Big area with lots of trees and grass. Big parking area.

Breakfast has bacon 🥓, good orange juice, hot cocoa, and coffee.

Cons: Cafe never open. Pool closed. Bed has a bug, mites, and a tick. A big no-no. Body was very itchy after waking up and got bitten.

The air conditioning was not even working. Was very hot. We had to open the window but was very scared that someone might come in the window as the ground outside was higher than the room's. Very easy to come in through the window so we had to close the window while sleeping. Woke up multiple times to open and close the window.

Bathtub is not a bathtub. It's a shower area. You need to ask the reception for the "holy plug" but they only have 1 ONE for the whole hotel. We were told that the staff was old so it was going to take a while. (?!?!?) After 1 hour, we gave up and showered. Good thing too because it never came.

Reception was helpful but snobbish at times. Staff in the breakfast restaurant don't understand English and don't bother trying to understand you. They are more helpful to people who also try to understand them though. (They value their siesta and have an attitude when working early morning but they get better after a while).

Check-in and check-out is a pain when there's loads of people because there's only 1 receptionist.

The place must have looked well 15 years ago. It would need a refurbishment. Rooms are outdated the couch is dusgusting. Stuff is really nice and helpful. They would deserve a much better facility. Elevator is scary.
