Rooms and hotel looks old. But everything works. Swimming pool small for so many people. Food is ok, not great. Mostly for families with kids.

We wouldn't rate this as a four star hotel, three at best. Reception area was clean and tidy. There is a large bar area, although the table service was poor. Rooms were clean and tidy and of a reasonable size. There is no kettle. The room had one spare electrical socket. The pool is small. The dining room was large. Excellent food, varied and plentiful. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Great facilities. They leave you a free shower and towel on the day you leave. Highly recommended

It is mainly a Spanish tourist place to stay. But you also get French and German. The reception can usually deal with English. The Restaurant usual has an English speaker. For an English tourist you get a better understanding of Catalan, Spanish holiday Hotel. Not a young persons place. But you do get couples with children.

A modern hotel with very comfortable rooms that were well air conditioned. Food at the hotel was very good and the staff very friendly. It has a small parking facility but we always found a space in the 8 days that we were there. Reception staff spoke English which was a help. My husband & I stayed here for a week (22nd -29th June) as part of my mum’s birthday celebration & had a lovely stay. Staff were very friendly & helpful (helps if you know some Spanish or Catalan!) In what 4 star hotel can't you have a coffee at 7 AM in the morning? There is literally no place (no buffet, no cafeteria) open where you can have a coffee before breakfast.

A super nice hotel for the family, lots of activities, beautiful location, perfect for kids all ages, very spacious rooms and variety of food in all the restaurants of the hotel. I will definitely consider to come back here if I visit again Peñiscola.

Friendly and attentive front staff. Staff at the buffet is also very polite. I was satisfied with the clean and new room with a nice terrace! There are lots of restaurants around the hotel and nice fresh fruits market just next to the hotel. Huge swimming pool is also plus! You can walk to the beach just 1 minute from the hotel.

Nice place, but very noisy. The sounds echo off the walls and we found it disturbing. Other than that, the place is lovely.

The overall service is satisfactory. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were delicious. Parking is a bit inconvenient. The facilities inside the hotel are convenient.

Gran Hotel Peñiscola l is located on Peñíscola's popular beachfront, on the seafront promenade. It offers an extensive spa, an outdoor pool and free WiFi. 

Lovely hotel and staff. Fab kids club for children. Entertainment staff went out of there way to look after our children and spoke Spanish. Thanks to Amanda for such kindness to my twins. I loved the place because it is very familiar, small and cosy. The restaurant it is very good and the people who attended us in the reception were very friendly and warm. What we liked the most is the staff, always nice! The bar/restaurant maybe it is a bit expensive for some, but they offer good food, nice views, and a quiet atmosphere. It is a bit far from the medieval castle, but you have a bus stop at 3 min walking

I stayed here on 18 th June 2018 to break a trip travelling to France for a bike event from southern Spain. It is a real gem, family business and located right on the beach I had an evening meal and a breakfast which were both really nice. Rooms are very clean as is the entire hotel. Excellent place. Exceptionally clean. Most mod cons, WiFi everywhere. The owners are lovely, speak many languages and are so helpful. I would definitely recommend this place, the beach is literally 10M away. Food is good, a bit pricey during season but go from September to May to enjoy the most relaxing stay. Don't miss this one.

It is the second year that we have come on vacation, with a dog, and everything is very good, service, location on the beachfront with a swimming pool, between the hotel and the beach there is a promenade that runs along the entire beach. Very calm.

Really close to the beach. It is clean and you have what you need. Very familiar. Breakfast is good. Don't expect anything fancy. For us was what we needed.

Honestly one of the best traditional 4 star hotels i’ve been to. Food is good, location is good, swimming pool is good. Not even one thing wasn’t good. Two aspects though are from another world - staff are unbievable and cleanness is absurd. Will be back asap.

The place is wonderful but the hotel doesn't feel lika a 4-star hotel. Very noisy rooms and you hear them cleaning all day long. Bad information when arrive. You have to buy a ticket in the reception to borrow the sunbed at beach that is pretty old. My wife and I have just returned home after a three night stay in a junior suite, one with a separate bedroom. Our suite seemed newly refurbished, and to exceptionally good taste. For the overall quality of the hotel the price per night was very good, we have paid much more for less. We had dinner in the restaurant t on the first night whi h was very good. Friendliness, cleanliness, unbeatable location. The buffet for breakfast is excellent. Modern furniture and decoration, ... perhaps a few drawers to store the small things of the day to day would avoid opening suitcases or the closet. Overall it deserves an A grade. It is worth coming back especially outside of the high seasons.

Air-conditioning and cleaning services daily for all hotel rooms. The food served is fantastic even if there aren't many options (buffet breakfast is very nice) and staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel needs a renovation but due to its close proximity to the beach it's a great choice!!

1st day and 1st impressions are excellent. We informed of late arrival and when we got there they knew who we were and made us welcome. The staff all seem to know each of the guests from the minute they arrive. Ground floor reception restaurant and public area is spacious and airy. Looking forwards to the next 3 weeks of our stay.

I was a week with my wife and my son and the truth was that it was a success to have found this place. It is true that the closest beach is a ten minute walk away but it is the best and quietest to be with children. Also where the hotel is located is a quiet area and there is not much traffic of people. The facilities are nice and well maintained, I really appreciate the attention of all the hotel...

A bit small room for 4 persons and a bit away from the city centre, but otherwise the hotel is quite ok.
