Plazamar Serenity Resort in Santa Ponsa

Was happy with the mostly positive reviews on booking. The hotel did not disappoint we were in studio 1302 which had a lovely view of the pool. The walls were a little thin but with the entertainment finishing at 10.30 and bar at 11 everything soon quietens down. The staff work really hard to keep the hotel clean. The food was a bit the same but always found something. I pushing recommended Del Padrino on the roundabout just down from the hotel the food was delicious and really broke up the all inclusive. The mini golf was fun, beach was beautiful especially at sunset. The hotel is great for kids of all ages and the entertainment staff work their socks off. Thanks for a lovely holiday

This review is based on a one week stay June 2025, five adults two babies, two self catering rooms during school term time so not at full capacity. Demographic seemed mostly families with young pre school or infant school children, predominately British & Irish. First impressions count. Lady at the reception was excellent, friendly and great grasp of English, I'm embarrassed to say it was far better than my grasp of Spanish! We were early arrivals before the normal check in time but as we were travelling with family including two babies we had two rooms booked, the resort had had the foresight to ensure one had been readied before we got there so at least we were able to use that one and get to the air con until the second room had been serviced. Both rooms were good, spacious contained everything expected and most important they were spotless, obvious that the staff were paying attention to detail. Air con was spot on, effective and lovely to walk into out of the heat. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Bathroom clean and functional. Kitchen area again functional complete with kettle and toaster. We were self catering but did use the restaurant a couple of times for breakfast/lunch, €18 per adult per sitting, food was ok, plenty of it and fairly decent selection and included unlimited drinks, no Michelin stars but we didn't pay Michelin star money! It was value for money, cheaper than eating out plus the added convenience of not having to leave the premises on the lazy can't be a*s*d days! The pool is almost always the most important area of any hot holidays, opening time for the pool was 1000-1900, that's 10am to 7pm for anyone that doesn't do the 24 hour clock. The pool is blocked off with an overnight barrier and also the sunbeds are chained and padlocked until pool opening. This felt a little to late, especially as we were only there for a week so felt like losing valuable time. The weather was as expected hot and sunny and sitting around for a couple of hours waiting to be able to use the pool and sunbeds was frustrating but that's probably as a result of the bed blockers brigade, there was the usual clammer for sunbeds at opening but this soon died down and there were plenty to go around even for the late comers. I imagine this would be more of an issue during school holiday time when occupancy of the resort maxs out, perhaps this might be an option for the policy to be flexible around demand/peak periods. The pool/s are of a decent size cleaned every morning, little bit of algae around the side, it was scrubbed every day but still came back as the day passed probably due to the amount of sun lotions from swimmers, water quality was good and clear, life guard could do with better positioning rather than just on a chair without full view of the whole area. Stay at this hotel for a week all inclusive package Very much hidden gem of place to stay. Small and friendly and all the staff are always helpful Rooms are clean spacious and private balcony too They are cleaned every other day. Special mention to Raul and his team who genuinely go out their way with the entertainment during the day and night Special mention for the food its very varied and freshly cooked and well presented Can see people come back year after year. Its not as big as you would imagine but there in lies the magic of this location Would highly recommend and will return sometime in the future

Great hotel! We came early June so it was a little quiet which was perfect for us. It’s a great family hotel, entertainment on for kids 6 nights a week. Pool area was lovely & clean, rooms very clean, food was fantastic & staff very friendly. Great location, will definitely come back with our little one.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel! Pool was ideal for the kids, we did SC so can't comment on the different options each night, but we did order a pizza and it was gorgeous! Will definitely recommend this hotel! We had a 1 bed apartment, and it was lovely. Beds were comfy, even the pull out beds were for the children. Lovely balcony, kitchen was adequate enough too.

This hotel was great. Staff were all nice & friendly.hotel was spotless & rooms spacious with good sized balcony. The entertainment was ok and the food was exceptionally had some very nice meals drinks were good too definitely would visit again. Bars restaurants and beach was about a 5-10 minutes walk away

Just returned home from a 4 night stay with my partner and two teenage daughters. It's hard to fault this hotel, great staff, clean large rooms, every staff member we came across where friendly and helpful, the food was typical for a Spanish all inclusive with plenty of choice even for a fussy teenager. The grounds/pool area and surrounding gardens are kept immaculately clean and the astro turf type grass surrounding the pool area is a nice touch, the beach which is only 5min walk away was great with sunbeds costing 10 euros for two for the day. I would say that this hotel is popular with younger families and as such a lot of the entertainment is aimed at a younger audience, this didn't bother us too much as we went out most evenings for a stroll up the main beach road to browse the shops and to the ***** which has a good selection of lively bars and restaurants. Overall we had a great four nights here and I would recommend this hotel, just remember it's a 3 star smallish complex but for the price we paid I could not fault it.

Hotel located a 5-minute walk from the city center and the beach. Buses and taxis are available to take you to Palma (the capital).
This hotel is extremely clean.
The housekeepers clean your room every other day and change your towels.
The pool is cleaned every morning.
The hotel is accessible 24/7.
The reception staff is available and welcoming and helped us with our various questions.
There is no hotel transfer service, but they work with a company.
The only small downside is the soundproofing of the rooms.
But this hotel remains a decent choice.
