The photos of the room look better than the reality. The garden is beautiful. We stayed for two nights, but for a longer stay it’s better to find another place

Very well located at 10mn from Tarifa, the hotel is a real peaceful warm and resourcing place. Not only that the food at the restaurant is delicious. We'll definitely revisit again.

This hotel is super cool! Helpful and friendly staff that made us feel welcome. Vintage decor in a new building made it feel warm and inviting, almost homey. This hotel is a gem, nestled in a corner of the castle walls in Tarifa. The room was comfortable and modern. Coffee, water and all the accoutrements. The staff was warm and inviting and seems to speak any language you may need. The rooftop terrace was an amazing place to share a glass of wine. Beautiful dreamy place. Good for dog-owners. There is a beach bar with good music and a 'high-society' crowd, which makes you feel like on some sort of Hawaiian or Californian beach. The only downside are the ubiquitous kite-surfers, some of whom seem to be quite incosiderate about other beach goers with their kites and the wires attaching them falling dangerously on the beach. Excellent option to stay. Variety of rooms, a restaurant and stunning sheltered pool area. Located away from the main road so traffic noise isn't noticeable and about 15 to 20 minutes walk to Valdevaceros beach. Rooms are attended every day, and super clean. Apart from Basil Fawlty on reception, ( English will know this character) the hotel is great, no fuss, restaurant staff are great, breakfast was good had everything. Secure parking. Rooms immaculate. It is not walking distance from the old town so be prepared to drive. The is however a great restaurant 3 minutes walk at the end of the drive. Or use the hotel.

I spent 5 days while kiting. Room was very clean and new renovated. Breakfast was very good and the pool lovely. I would come back for sure.

It’s really annoying and a huge inconvenience when you check into a self contained apartment hotel to find that there’s hardly any condiments such as sugar, washing up liquid or even rubbish bags to get you through the day. We have just spent three wonderful days at Tarifa staying in this very nice hotel. The Asian touch and the beautiful weather makes you feel like being far, far away. The hosts are super supportive and welcoming. On Saturday was Salsa night and on Sunday Tango which is also frequented by locals which makes it very enjoyable. An awesome stay in a green oasis, located in the walking distance from famous Valdevaqueros beach. The pool is a great place to hide from the wind if surfing is not your thing.

A fantastic welcome from the staff. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. The place is beautiful. We booked a quadruple room, it was very nice and large with a lovely terrace outside. 10 mins walk to the most amazing beach that has bars, snacks bars and restaurants. I can't wait to visit again. Only gave it 4 stars at found the bed and pillow too hard and woke up sore.

Great location, friendly and considerate staff. I was travelling by bike and they let me keep it in the room, also giving me a ground floor room to make it easier. The pool looked nice, but i didn't get to use it due to opening times and me only staying one night.

Nice location, close to the beach, far away from the busy area. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is quite basic, not much attention to details. The pool area could use some new sunbeds and some rough cleaning of the pool walls. The pillows are unusable, all clogged.

The rooms are gorgeous and the food is good. The service at the restaurant isn't impressive, though. Very inefficient. There's a pool on the ground floor, a tiny infinity pool on the highest floor, and a decent sized jacuzzi. The hotel has a beach that is walking distance right behind, so well located.

The hotel was really nice and very relaxing. The hotel is situated outside of the town it's self, but the walk is fine and a taxi back was 7euros, so the distance is no problem. I would definitely go back.

I was not staying at the hotel, but was trying to have a lunch at the restaurant. Everything was great, but during “siesta” time they only serve cakes and drinks. We recently stayed at this hotel on our stop in Tarifa, and it exceeded our expectations. The hotel's restaurant outlets were great. The pool area was stunning, providing a perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff were incredibly attentive and worked tirelessly to ensure our stay was perfect. Great stay at La Residencia! Rooms are light, comfy and sound proof. All the comunal spaces are really lovely - the roof terrace, main bar and restaurant are all great spaces. Superb breakfast. The beach and old town are right on the doorstep, yet it feels quiet and relaxed. Would 100% go back next time we’re in Tarifa

Incredible hotel tucked away in the corner of tears by the harbour. Excellent services with a roof top swimming pool and a spa circuit in the basement. Super clean rooms and well equipped. Breakfast was one of the best I've had in Spain with loads of healthy options, fresh food and even champagne.

There is a lot to like about this hotel. Clean, pleasing decor and excellent lighting in the rooms and hallways. The dining room and bar are airy, bright and spacious areas. The staff we dealt with were helpful, efficient and kind. We had massages. They were ok.

Nice and quiet place with a restaurant besides. Kitchen, dinning and sleeping room spaces, comfortable bed and facilities. Staff ready to answer questions, we had a slight problem with wifi connection but it was sorted out. Just 5 minutes or less from Tarifa and to the beautiful beaches across where there are plenty spaces or parking and to contemplate, walk an to enjoy nature.

Amazing setting and location near to the centre of Tarifa. It it a perfect place to relax in peace and around animals. Very cute, clean rooms with a kitchenette. We went to El Rancho restaurant on one of our nights and the food was delicious, always a queue outside the door!
