Where to stay in Kouvola

Had a wonderful stay & wish I could have stayed longer. Exceeded my expectations. Each member of staff were friendly and helpful - pleasure to deal with. Loved my room (photo). Breakfast choices covered everything I could wish for. Thank you!

Relaxing and restful place to stay - with amazing breakfasts!

That was nice visit, food was good, service was very friendly and hosbitality, the room was clean and fresh. Thank you! And staff in reseption special thank you! The service was again absolutely amazing and the renovated hotel was more than comfortable of course.

Basic typical dated hotel. Clean tiny room, good bed, good a/c. Poor, slow check in, we were in three, I was told "I'll do one at the time" when I gave all our names, instead of giving all of us the form to fill at the same time, she asked between each of us, if she can proceed, gosh please!! Only excuse, if it was her first day at work. It took 25 minutes. Good breakfast.

Oh man, these guys know hospitality. Which is obviously required when the premises are somewhat tired. Front desk and restaurant staff are top notch professionals and genuinly friendly! Sauna is nice but löylyt are slightly on the mild side.

Good lunch and friendly service. The rooms were small, but good enough for one or two nights.

Nice and friendly receptionist. We checked in and our room was a life-saver :) . Unfortunately, we could not stay for the night. We'll always remember Kouvola from now on. Perhaps we'll try again in the future.

Worth the money. Center of the town. Next to railway station. Really ideal place. Rooms very basic.

Nice place to stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and tidy. Sauna and pool areas are nice. Overall it feels comfortable, it you are wanting up to date and new this is not the place however for value for money it is good.

Sommelo shows its age, but provided us much better value for money during the housing fair than Kouvola chains. Decent sauna with a pool is free.

Yes, an hotel locked in the 80s but quite clean. One complain during 3 days nobody came to clean my bedroom. There is a large free parking, it's located near of the basic shops, restaurants, so great. I took my breakfasts there, they are complète, fruits, yogourt, jams, bread, ham, cereals, ..... good for a short stay 3, 4 days. After I can not say what but something is missing.

Good location near the river in Kuusankoski. Good and polite service, clean. Hotel has free of extra charge sauna and pool, outside terraces and an excellent breakfast. Quiet guests happened to be during our stay. It just needs maybe some renovation. So all in all 3,8 out of 5 stars.

It's the only hotel in the town, limits your choice.... A large place that clearly once served the once large paper factories. A little run down now, and runs on Ltd staff, but it's OK as a stop over

Really great hostel for the price. Rooms are functional, comfortable and clean. Sauna and the swimming pool are included in the price. Morning breakfast as well. You have the choice and food is good.

really old building. for that price they could invest a little bit every year in professional repairs ond new fornitures. right and fair price should be around 20-25 euros/person/night.no wardrobe... all over bad fixings on walls /winfows. feels like since build nothing has been invested. beds provocate back hurting. all in all it was clean. breakfast good. ham, cheese, salami from cheap supermarket...

Good hotel looking like built 30 years ago. Actually close to the city center. Positive staff! Our second floor room looked not fresh but all equipment were in place and worked well. There was live blues band in the bar first floor Saturday evening we stayed here. Not expensive breakfast included all necessary things I used to have. It was pleasure to have it on sunny summer terrace.

Ok, it is not a fancy hotel, but for it's price and to stay for one night it's just perfect! Clean, bright, right size, also cheap and filling breakfast. Owners are most wonderful and carrying ❤️

The hotel is really good for the money. Clean room, a big proper table in the room so I could work normally and read a newspaper, unexpected! Very quiet. The stuff is really friendly. I got a coffee-maker into my room and dishes, when I asked. Recommending!

Nothing to complain about. Just perfect accommodation in a beautiful old villa and its a bit newer side wing. Rooms and decorations nice, Clean. Helpful Staff. And close by some magnificent industrial ruin and working factories. Plus a mighty river.

Beautiful villa tucked into the grounds of a wood products factory on the Kiimijoki river. Acceptable lunch buffet. Ambience better than the food.

Absolutely delicious lunch - normal buffet lunch prices. Spanish paella was wonderful. In addition great meatballs as typical 'homemade food' dish. Wide assortment of salads / side dishes. Elegance old stylish furniture and surroundings. Friendly staff.

All buildings are new, clean and functional. The caravan area is really tightly laid out and it is really difficult for bigger cars or combinations to drive into places because of the high curbs and sharp corners. There are no plants, so the scenery is only other carriages and cottages on the beach, which cover the lake scenery. Kutostie can be heard loudly in the area throughout the night. The food...

Brand new cottages 🌲/5! Hopefully the level and cleanliness will be maintained when we got to the newly opened and built cabins. It was wonderful when the cottage was like a hotel, sheets and beds and a bathroom 😍 The only minus was the gate, the boom opening device was too close to the boom so that you had to get out of the car to open the boom. This should be moved. And it would be nice if the Resort...

New modern place. Absolutely no privacy either in the showers or standing room. Seems more like a motorway rest stop including road noise. Doesn't fit somehow with camping in Finland. I will definitely not visit again.

Caravan area very cramped, due to high curbs. It's a good place for cars, but there aren't many places for connecting a little further. Please note that the yard planner has made the plans, and has no idea about the caravan. In each place, a small yard with tiling and lighting, which was nice, although there will be ants in them after a while, now there are already a few. Maintenance buildings on top...

Very nice and intimate museum about manual cardboard manufacturing with excellent guides!

It was an unplanned stop but definitely worth it. XIX century village and cardboard factory with an authentic equipment.

Unexpectedly amazing place. The factory is perfectly preserved and when you step inside it seems like you moved into 19th century.

Really interesting place. This old factory with surrounding buildings creates picture how factory workers lived in beginning of 1900. This place is listed as Unesco world heritage.

An important and a vital part of industrial history. And a really nice and beatiful place to visit with excellent cafe. And the wine shop. Taste their calvados style verla xo. Be surprised. Easily one day visit and even three, two nice forest trails and many cottages to choose for overnight stays. Budget friendly pricing. Really worth visiting.

Absolutely great villa, in a good location, the beach was shallow, suitable for families with children. The beach is approx. 100m from the cottage. A peaceful cottage village.

Almost new and very clean apartment in the mystical holiday village Iso-ruhmas by the lake near the village of Jaala. Wonderfully quiet place (low traffic noise from a nearby road). Alexander, Thank you for giving us a vacation in a beautiful place, hospitality and care for the guests. Mentally spent a week, enjoyed nature. Honestly, we didn’t rest with such comfort for a long time.

To relax from the hustle and bustle of the big city, we went to Villa Maria with our family. This is a wonderful place where you can relax your body and soul. The villa has everything you need for a comfortable stay. BUT MORE THAN EVERYTHING was impressed by the FIREPLACE and SAUNA. There are all necessary appliances, kitchen utensils, etc. Fresh air, forest, cleanest lake _ this is a great place....

I stayed in the AuroraHut at Aurantola for 3 nights. I needed a place to unwind my mind and reconnect with nature. I couldn't have chosen a better place. The glass igloo is in front of a stunning lake, far aside all the other cottages. So, no noise and distractions other than ducks swimming in front of you and wookpeekers doing their job. At some point you can feel like Monet in front of the Rouen...

Picturesque interior, quiet location. I recommend snorkeling around Rajasaari, great scenery! The hosts are friendly. The sauna is really nice. Loft sleeping area hot.

The place is beautifully located on the shore of a clear lake, and both rooms and cabins are available for accommodation. The beach sauna for rent was a really pleasant experience and so was the breakfast in the main building. We offer canoes and paddle boards, and the scenery is great. The host is also really friendly. There is also a separate area for caravanners and the possibility to eat on site...

Great place. The cottages on the island are well equipped, each has a sauna, you can make a barbecue as well as go boating on the lake. The space between the houses is so large that the neighbors do not interfere. Remember to bring your bed linen, otherwise you can rent a full set for € 7.

The peace of the place... Nature is wonderful and bushama... the Only minus - no WiFi in the houses...)
