Great breakfast and a clean room. The bed was comfortable. The room needs updating, but we chose this hotel for the perfect location. This is a good city vacation hotel choice if you are spending your time mostly outside the room. The check in and out was fast.

This is a 3-star hotel, so I'll give it three stars. =) It is located right in the center of Kouvola, right on the main street. Kouvola is a small city, so during week the street will be quiet, although on weekends people going/coming to/from bars may be loud. So, rooms on street side could be noisy. When thinking of the Sokos Hotels chain, this hotel is better than average. The hotel's location is very central and there is a spacious parking lot next to it, with reasonable pricing. Had a very splendid stay here. The room was very spacious, the sauna and Jacuzzi were very well kept up and nice. I especially enjoyed the various machines in the gym!

Good hotel near the centre. Nice and quiet rooms, very clean and nicely decorated rooms and premises. Breakfast is nice with fresh vegetables and breads and plenty of options to choose from. The location is near a big road, but there is no noise from the road to the rooms. There should be a nice sauna and gym, but I didn't have time for a visit. My friends said the sauna is good.

Nice hotel from a commonly known chain (Sokos) and thus as good as most of their other offerings. Room was spacious enough, nicely styled and equipped with all basic amenities, the bed was comfortable, there's a common sauna and "spa" available for free. The bed was very hard so I didn't sleep that much Its a place for guys passing through. Men who work. I was not pleased by the bed. Otherwise, its riverside so its quiet & early morning walk was refreshing.

It might be a bit dated, but the location right on the Kymijoki can't be beat. Legitimately some of the best coffee I've had a hotel!

Totally decent hotel. A bit retro, but nice and clean. Lady in the reception super friendly and helped me with late check in. Good hot sauna open until 22:00 with nice chilly swimming pool to jump in. Breakfast with quite good variaty. Overall 8/10.

Sommelo shows its age, but provided us much better value for money during the housing fair than Kouvola chains. Decent sauna with a pool is free.

Location was good, next to the center of Kouvola, breakfast was a bit mediocre, no fresh vegetables and no restocking of food. Rooms overall okeyish, a bit outdated maybe, seemed to be clean apart of a used snus packet in the corner of the room. Compared to the price tho it was okey, 3 stars out of 5.

The place is very basic. It is clean and the location is good. The sauna's steamroom is good. The changing room lacks comfort. The breakfast has plenty of room for improvement

I stayed in a two person room since there were no single rooms left so it cost me the price of two people. The staff was informative and kind. The room was clean. But the bathroom was inside the room and it was super tiny. The shower head would not stay still on the wall so you had to always hold it. Super tight space too, so shower curtain is contantly near you. The room didn't have any towels which...

Breakfast is good enough, some of the rooms could be a bit bigger, but we were lucky and got one of the biggest rooms, so it was great for us. You can use sauna for free. The hotel is really good for the money. Clean room, a big proper table in the room so I could work normally and read a newspaper, unexpected! Very quiet. The stuff is really friendly. I got a coffee-maker into my room and dishes, when I asked. Recommending!

Nothing to complain about. Just perfect accommodation in a beautiful old villa and its a bit newer side wing. Rooms and decorations nice, Clean. Helpful Staff. And close by some magnificent industrial ruin and working factories. Plus a mighty river.

I stayed in the AuroraHut at Aurantola for 3 nights. I needed a place to unwind my mind and reconnect with nature. I couldn't have chosen a better place. The glass igloo is in front of a stunning lake, far aside all the other cottages. So, no noise and distractions other than ducks swimming in front of you and wookpeekers doing their job. At some point you can feel like Monet in front of the Rouen...

Picturesque interior, quiet location. I recommend snorkeling around Rajasaari, great scenery! The hosts are friendly. The sauna is really nice. Loft sleeping area hot.

The place is beautifully located on the shore of a clear lake, and both rooms and cabins are available for accommodation. The beach sauna for rent was a really pleasant experience and so was the breakfast in the main building. We offer canoes and paddle boards, and the scenery is great. The host is also really friendly. There is also a separate area for caravanners and the possibility to eat on site...

Great place. The cottages on the island are well equipped, each has a sauna, you can make a barbecue as well as go boating on the lake. The space between the houses is so large that the neighbors do not interfere. Remember to bring your bed linen, otherwise you can rent a full set for € 7.

Despite being located near the motorway, it doesn't cause any disturbance. Nesr the place os also a bird watching tower. We had some problems like dirty cups in the room, called the reception and took them an hour to come "replace" the cups but was just wiped and brought back to us, cups were still dirty from the inside. No soap on the bathroom. Noticed hair on the supposed to be clean towels and dirty...

Great little hotel close to the motorway. Visited here while working for 8 Solutions in a local Data Center at Hamina just before Christmas 2014. Staff friendly and have great English. In fact there's an English class held here for the town's younger population. We stayed here as a B&B with evening meals and the Breakfast was great with an all you can eat style but obviously biased towards a Finnish...

The single rooms are spacious. Reception in English was available all the time. Very cooperative and friendly. Expect the breakfast is not allowed to take away. They have very limited vegan and vegetarian options.

The idea is better than the outcome, but a very pleasant mansion some 10 km away from downtown Kotka. Beautiful riverside and all in all nice surroundings, including a pleasant surprise park 10 minute walk away.

Beautiful old building with many charming details both inside and out. Our room was very large but singles in our party had normal sized rooms. The breakfast was fabulous with many choices for an American or European palate. Just a heads up, there is no A/C. We visited in the fall so this wasn't an issue for us. Overall, I highly recommend.

Cozy place with ideal location The best thing about this hotel is its location, ideal for easily reaching interesting events or happenings in this big-size small town. The second best is the possibility of using spa services, for which, however, there is seldom enough time during short stays.
