Hotels in Kuopio

I was missing the home-sandals that they provide in the hotels, but you normally can find in the room (so you can have them in the sauna or when going around indoors) but I couldn't find them anywhere in my room or any of the common areas. So that was a shame. The breakfast was fine. I was missing variety in warm salty food; there was not a toaster and the amount of vegan/gluten free food was scarce...

Excellent location in the old town about 300 meters from the harbour and close to the town church. The breakfast buffet has wide choice including options for gluten free and vegetarians. The hotel also features two other outlets (Bistro and bar) that offer a nice-but pricey-selection of food and drinks. Great hotel, great location, the rooms are excellent. It might be nice if room service had more hours. For anyone who uses a wheelchair, it's worth noting the ramps on the room floor we had were very steep and could use an update for easier access.

Nice hotel, with a very friendly staff. Quick check in and check out. good breakfast but a bit difficult to find via the underground tunnel… and the breakfast room was quite crowded. Enough different options including lactose free. Space rooms altough they are a bit outdated. There is a small bar on the ground level, and a nice salon where you can sit. Very slow elevators so iff you are in a hurry...

Situated in the center of Kuopio, right by the cathedral. The service was very good. The rooms were not to my liking, they had industrial/pagan feel to them, a lot of dark and bronze - I prefer a bit more light rooms.

This hotel is under renovation and the gym and saunas are out of use (Jan 2023). My room was newly renovated, nice and contemporary decor. Downside was the sound of plumbing every time someone flushed their toilets upstairs. I needed ear plugs for the night. Breakfast service was Finnish style meaning quite large variety and a lot of healthy options, also taking into account allergies. Not upscale...

A visit to Kuopio is a must do on you list. Then stay at one of the very nice Scandic hotels in town. Have a super romantic dinner at the Musta Lammas, and go to Kauppatori for genuin Finnish food. Nice clean rooms and close to center.

Huge hotel lobby, lovable guest room with free Wi-Fi, nice clean bathroom. Unique and romantic restaurant on 2nd floor, attractive furniture which adds nostalgic flavor while dinning there. Just about right location in the city to get around.

Great place with a great placement in the middle of the city. The rooms are big and comfortable with their own terraces and their own bathtubs (something we really needed). The sauna is divided by time, farm 17 until 19 it's for the woman and from 19 til 21 it's for the men. The restaurant is also very good and worth a try.

We stayed here for 4 nights in October. The staff is very friendly but there are a few things left to be desired. For one, the wifi is absolutely horrible. A fine hotel in the absolute center of Kuopio. Direct access to the famous Carlson department store. Shop clothes, perfumes, shoes and other things. Also have a look at beautiful Finnish glass and ceramic design from world famous Iittala and Arabia.

I strongly suggest. They dont have a very rich breakfast but the ambiance, quality and their marvellous restaurant are outstanding! The city itself is peaceful and the hotel is like the city itself. I recommend that beautiful place

The hotel is great. Nice rooms, quiet. The room rate includes Breakfast and the opportunity to visit the pool and sauna. There is lake access where you can walk. Liked it very much.

My room was lovely- rather spacious with a wonderful view. The staff were helpful and polite too. Moreover, the food was simply amazing. However, the wifi service was very poor (I was not even given the password for the secure wifi) and the breakfast buffet could've offered more variety

Solid but nothing spectacular. Fairly nice views in the summer. Easily accessible from the motorway, but not in the view or in the range of the noise. Has a fair spa and restaurant.

I read a number of negative-ish reviews but our stay was completely OK. We stayed just one night, arrived late and departed early so we could not, unfortunately, use any of the services like sports activities and swimming pools. Nice place with plenty of activities around. We stayed in rooms that were a bit further away from the main building, and during hot summer months these rooms were pretty hot. It is a nice hotel. Thebl food (breakfast and buffet) were very good. Rooms were big and luxurious enough for the price. It is nice that there is a fast food place inside the hotel although the location is a bit weird. The swimming pool could use an update.

Great place to have a family get away with something for everyone. Minigolf, billiard and bowling is just a minute away. Pools for all ages and even a warm and cold pool for winter. Also a great venue for business meetings and educational events. Only negative I'd have to say is that the decor is a little old fashioned

It was a pleasant stay at the hotel. The place is not too far away from the train station or the city centre for my two feet. Peaceful location by the lake and a small harbour. Free wlan and ability to connect your own media device to the in-room television. Nice and polite staff - and a great breakfast in the morning! :)

Nice Superior Extra room with a balcony and a view to the lake. Breakfast room is not so cozy as it is a big banquet hall, so it lacks intimacy and it is noisy. Friendly staff at the front desk.

Nice but maybe slightly too pricey for what it is. On a beautiful lakeside spot near the city centre but inconveniently accessible from outside the city as one is forced to pretty much drive through downtown.

I stayed there for a business trip and thought it was a good hotel with delicious breakfast that also included lactose free products. The rooms were comfortable and I slept very well. I went there in winter so it was very cold in general. Nevertheless I didn't expect the rooms to be quite cool as well because they are turned down by default. So turn them on in winter after entering for the first time...

No kettle to boil water and make tea, no coffee maker, no mugs, no refrigerator or microwave, no body lotion and hairconditioner, no clue if container in the shower contains body wash or body wash+shampoo - it is more like hostel with private room and bathroom; reception closed (it is where one can get tea or coffee) for the whole two days for some unexplainable reasons

This is a reasonably comfortable hotel in an out-of-the-way location. Parking is limited, and access to the hotel is a little difficult after 8:00 p.m. The breakfast is a typically very, very good Finnish buffet.

The wifi connection works very well, the rooms are clean and confortable, the breakfast is plentiful.

The location of hotel is excellent, and they have a small parking carage in addition of outside parking space. My room was on the "new side", had great air conditioning and was pretty nice. Breakfast was normal, nothing fancy.
